Anyone with a Conzult in the South East?
Hi guys, In the near future I'm going to book my Zed in for a big service and order a load of bits in from Courtesy to save a few pennies on parts. So I know what bits I need to order I would like to do a Conzult on my car. I am way to skint at the mo to buy one so would lie to know if someone my way would do a conzult on my car? I would make it worth your while:) Cheers, Justin

Anyone have the part numbers and costs for these from Courtesy? Cheers, Justin

Courtesy order - share postage?
David, I also need the bits in the very near future. Have u given any thoughts to renewing your pulleys aswell? I am a little unsure if it is worth it or not. Justin

Courtesy order - share postage?
I would like a propshaft centre bearing and a timing belt service kit with the extra pulleys. Don't know if this would be a problem or not due to the weight of it all? How long does all this usually take to arrive? I have money waiting if we do go ahead. Justin

colour
Who cares!!! All Zeds rock never mind what the colour is  If I had to choose though as I did then it has to be RED!!! :D Justin

Another prop bearing question
Is there only one bearing on the prop though? If so then I will go ahead and order a centre bearing soon. Justin

Underdrive Pulleys
Thanks for the replies guys, It is a shame I missed the group buys but i guess I can still have one at a good price if I buy one all in with the service pack. Just a little worried about the potential engine damage. Justin

Underdrive Pulleys
Guys, What do you think between these two 60,000 mile service kits? One is just the normal stuff you would expect and the other comes with an Unorthodox Racing Pulley for about another £90! It's gotta be worth it surely? http://conceptzperformance.com/specials.php Would it cost me anymore labour to fit one of these though? Any ideas? Cheers, Justin:)

Another prop bearing question
Hi guys, I have finally decided that I am in need of a new prop bearing due to some wurring noise and vibration through my seat. I would like to take advantage of the pound versus dollar situation at the moment though and order the bearing kit from the US. Before I start asking for quotes though can anyone tell me the if I just have to ask for a propshaft bearing. The reason for asking is that I am sure I heard from someone that there is 2 bearings along the prop so would need to make sure I got the correct one. Cheers, Justin PS Anyone know the part number for this to help speed things up when I am asking about?

Sorry to hear that mate, that sucks! :( Nevermind, think on the positive side, you always said you wish your car was a manual. Now's the time for a conversion mate ;) Hope you get it sorted out okay. Justin

BBS Centre Caps
Hi, I am thrilled to bits with my new Zed bar one thing, I have some very nice 18 inch BBS cross spoke alloys similar to the ones Andy Z is selling in this link: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=30292 The only thing is that one of the centre nuts is missing. I have tried a few places to replace it including BBS UK and have had no joy as they say it is a BBS Japan wheel. Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to get hold of one? I know alot of BMW's have these style of centre caps but have tried one and they are much smaller than the centre nut on mine. Thanks guys, Justin

Houghton Insurance
I am insured with Houghtons, by far and away the best quote I had. I have never paid such a low amount for insurance on any car I have owned nevermind a Zed! Thanks guys, keep up the good work. :) Justin

Paint Dilemma
OK, Smooth it is. :hyper: Hope I don't get bad stonechips though. I guess I could always put protective film over it. Thanks for the feedback guys. Justin

Paint Dilemma
LOL, Ok, now I am starting to swing towards a smooth finish! Why do things have to be so complicated!!!  Oh well, will wait and see what the rest of you come up with ;) Justin

Paint Dilemma
Any more thoughts on this? My mind is not 100% made up although am leaning towards anti-stonechiping the lot. Would just like a bit more feedback to make a final decision though. Cheers, Justin

Paint Dilemma
Cheers Nigel, Thats the main thing I was worried about really, the skirts looking perhaps a bit strange being painted with the bumpy paint. I guess if it is commonplace amoungst car manufacturers to do this then I am sure it would look ok though. Thanks, Justin

Paint Dilemma
Thanks for the replies guys. I would love to get a new rear/front bumper but as I said, its all money and that something I am fast running out of. Does anyone else have sideskirts pained in the stonechip paint? Justin

Paint Dilemma
Hi all, in need of your opinions on this. My zed is currently in the bodyshop being fitted with some sideskirts. The sprayer called me up today to ask if I wanted the skirts sprayed in the textured anti-stonechip paint to match the lower parts of the front and rear bumpers or use the normal smooth stuff. He also said that if I did go for a smooth finish then the car would not look right unless he removed the bumpy paint from the bumpers aswell to match the skirts. This of course is all gonna be more money. The guys in the bodyshop seem to think it would be better to spray the skirts in the stonechip paint as being fibreglass it will help alot to keep them looking nice. What are your opinions on this as I really don't have a clue? Cheers, Justin.

Speedo Conversion???
Thanks Dave, Good idea about taking the pics. I think in that case I will wind my clock back. It will be nice to have it all showing in miles anyway. Justin
-
Speedo Conversion???
Thanks Vijay, I will have a read. I just wish I could get the mileage certified somehow though. I need to think of a few years down the line and I have to stand there expleining to someone how many miles it has done. Justin

Speedo Conversion???
I would like to wind the clock back to the correct amount but would like to get it certified somewhere. Anyone know someone who does this or can it be any garage? Surely if you got some local garage to do it then the certification would not carry as much weight as someone a bit more official undertaking the job. Justin. Justin

Speedo Conversion???
Thanks for your replies guys. I do have some proof of how many Kilometers it had don in the form of the MOT certificate that was done before it could be driven on these roads. Andy, How hard is it to reset the odometer? Is there companies that do this and do they provide you with a proof of mileage certificate? Cheers, Justin

Speedo Conversion???
I have recently got my first Zed which I imported myself. The importers took care of all my UK conversions which are all fine other than the way they have done the speedo. They have installed a "little electronic box" as they put it to recalibrate the speedo to MPH. THye have also instead of putting stickers over the speedo, have just blacked out the "K" in the KMH so it reads "MH" instead. This all seemed fine untill I noticed that the mileometer is now running up in miles instead of Kilometers. This all makes it a bit strange when trying to explain how many miles the car has done come the time when I sell it. Anyone else had there speedo converted like this? Justin
