  1. Forget the rest in my opinion, If like me you are not bothered by pointless toys and flashy lights on your stereo and just want an amazing sound (and lets face it, thats the primary reason you buy a stereo for!) then you want a Pioneer DEHP77MP. More info in the link below http://www.bassjunkies.com/index.php?cpage=product/browse_detail.php&area=shop&category_id=82&sub_category_id=12&manufacturer_id=463&product_id=28143&show_my_car=&return_link=%2Findex.php%3FP%3Dpbb%26A%3Dshop%26cid%3D82%26scid%3D12%26mid%3D463 If you hunt around you can find it for under £230! I think it also looks classy and would really suit the zeds dash. If you want to make the whole thing sound extra special the why not buy my Phoenix Gold amp to go with it;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=27214&highlight=tantrum Cheers, Justin
  2. Thanks for the advice Zevans, I do have progressive lowering springs. My Bushes are the originals but I did notice one is starting to look a bit worn on the front. I will have a mess about in the car when it is dry and try and decide what setting I want. Looking like somewhere in the middle so far though. Herman, I got my shocks from Z1 motorsports in the States. http://www.300zx.com They were $375.00 a set, shipping was $160 and tax etc was £80. I did get a prop bearing with that as well though. Cheers, Justin
  3. Cheers for the reply JD. I must say it did seem especially twitchy in the wet today. Justin
  4. Hi all, I have just had my KYB AGX shocks fitted today (many thanks to Matt aka MTL for doing such a great job for me) and am just wondering what is the best damping setting to run them on. I have it on the hardest all round at the moment and it handles well but is very hard to drive on the bumpier roads. Can the damping rate affect the handling in other ways? Cheers, Justin:)
  5. Hi, I have got the cats in. I don't know if it is that though. It seems like more of a mechanical ticking. If you are right though I guess it is a good excuse for a decat  Justin
  6. Hi, I have recently noticed a ticking noise coming from under the car about half way along. Pretty much about where the drivers seat is. I know I have a dodgy prop bearing and have a new one on the way from the States at the moment. Could this noise just be the centre bearing really on its last legs or is there another problem lurking from under my Zed? Any ideas? Justin.
  7. 24, I must enhance my calm! Justin
  8. Thanks for the replies guys, I will gice em both a try and see what they come up with. Fingers crossed, Justin
  9. Hey Matt, I have a very good idea! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2472786592&category=10402   See ya soon mate, Justin
  10. Thanks Mickey, Its the measurements of decorative centre nut bit I am after. Will be interesting to see what you come back with. Justin
  11. Hi, My rear shocks keep leaking oil everywhere. When I first got my zed from Japan it came with Trust shocks all round which I was over the moon with. When it came to MOT time they found one of the rears was leaking oil. Not a big probelme though because the kind previous jap owner had put the origainals in the boot. They replaced the trust rears with these and they seemed fine untill about a month later when both of the rears started leaking. Before I splash out on some new ones is there anything that could be causing this like a dodgy part putting excess strain on the rear shock or have I just been unlucky? Thanks, Justin
  12. Mickey, Just measured up and my centre nut is just over 3 1/2 inces so it looks like a no go with BMW caps:( Thanks for the hekp anyway mate. Justin
  13. Top Man, I will go and measure mine up (the centre caps before anyone comes up with any wise alec comments!!!) and see if they are the same. Thanks for that Mickey, much appreciated:) Justin
  14. Houghtons!!!
  15. Guys, I am in need of the measuremnts for the centre nut on these MX5 alloys as I have similar ones on my Zed, they are just much bigger. I am missing one of the centre nuts though and am sure they are the same size as the MX5's. If anyone has a MX5 with these alloys could they please tell me the measurements? A long shot on a Zed forum I guess but I have tried the MX5 forums and they are crap. Everyone should buys zeds just for an excuse to use this forum! Cheers, Justin
  16. Very true Smithy. I am still in the process of getting some quotes at the moment. If the difference in price is not that bad by the time duty and shipping has been added then I will prpbably stick to getting the parts from someone on this board. Justin.
  17. Will the supplier not have a problem with that though? I guess it would be worth an ask. Justin
  18. Hi, I am after getting some parts from the states. Can anyone recommend a website that I can get both uprated aftermarket bits as well as Nissan parts. I am after some KYB shocks and a prop bearing. Understandably I don't really want to pay double bubble when it comes to the shipping costs from buying from 2 different companies. Thanks, Justin
  19. Hi Steve, I took care of it in the end. Only just though, got my car back from the bodyshop less than 24 hours from when the car was needed! Was a good day and Molly, her friends and family were nice. Will post some pics of the big day up when Molly emails them to me. Justin ;)
  20. Cheers for the reply scoops, This is exactly what I am trying to work out. Matt, (MTL) had a look at it the other day and says that he got one of these stickers included with the cambelt kit he bought when he changed his. Justin
  21. Hi all, I am thinking about getting a big cambelt service done on my car but before taking the plunge would like to know if it has been done. My service history is all in Japanese so is hard to tell from that. One thing I have noticed is a sticker stuck on my cambelt casing. See pic below. Anyone know if this has anything to do with the cambelt being done in the past? Cheers, Justin
