  1. I woudlike to say having owned both cars that I think it would be a very, very close call on the 1/4 mile. One thing I have noticed on my Zed is the way it strufggles for grip off the mark compared to the MR2 with its lump sitting over the rear wheels bites into the black stuff straight away. I love my zed every little bit as much as the MR2 I had before it, both mega quick cars that look like dogs proverbials. I think though I would have to say that the zed would lose out down the strip. I feel the MR2 is quick enough to scamper away to the finish line with its superior traction off the line before the brute force of the twin blowers could make the difference. Hope these words do not make me a bad person ;) Justin
  2. Thanks Geo, That advise is good enough for me and it saves a bit of cash:) Justin
  3. That is a bargain!!! They sell for about £380 in Halfords etc. Best Plod spotter by far aswell, mine has been excellent :) Justin
  4. Ok, I take thats its a good idea to replace the tensioner. Any thoughts on the other pulleys? Justin
  5. Hi all, Have just been looking at the timing belt service kit on the coutesy site. http://www.courtesyparts.com/z32/z32-tbkita1.html Have noticed the cam bely tensioner makes up a huge amount of the overall cost. Is it really vital to replace this? Also I have noticed that they offer a couple of other pulleys as an option. I will be adding an underdrive pulley anyway but any opinions on the other pulleys they are selling? Many thanks, Justin.
  6. I'm also with 3. Have to agree, the customer services is shite! I must have spent over 2 hours on hold trying to get through to their cancellation dept. Does anyone else on here with a 3 mobile hate the way the signal can be full one second then completly drop off to noting the next therefore cutting you off from your call? Best tariffs by miles, worst customer service and signal! Justin
  7. Thanks mate, that would be handy so I could see how much of a match they are:) Justin
  8. Thats great, cheers mate:) I will get onto BBS and see what they can do for me. Will let you know how I get on. Thanks again, Justin
  9. Oh right, my centre nuts are silver and black with the alternate flat edges painted gloss black. Do you have a number for your guy as most people I have tried including BBS UK themselves have been useless! Cheers, Justin
  10. They do look similar. Are they BBS ones? Justin
  11. Cheers, might well be worth a go, will get in contact with him. He is local to me aswell which is handy. And if you could get that number for me then that would be great. Cheers for your help mate:) Justin
  12. Yeah, they have which would make matching up a bit harder but seeing I have this as I said above that is not a problem.
  13. Yeah, they do look similar. I do have the metal surround so I dont need to worry about matching that up, its just the decorative centre but I need.
  14. A number would be great, especially if its a KBA one! Won't believe the hassle I am having getting a new cap! LOL Justin
  15. Yeah, they look spot on, Where they on the car from Japan aswell or did you stick em on over here?
  16. I am afer a new BBS centre cap but am told that I need a KBA number or somthing to order in a new one. I have looked on my wheels and cannot see such a number. I have been told this is likely to be because the wheels are from BBS Japan. I'm sure the caps will be the same and won't make a difference if they come from Japan or Europe. I would just like to chat to someone with similar BBS wheels and see if there is any difference in the way the caps go on etc. Anyone on here have these wheels on there Zed? Cheers, Justin
  17. My mate used plain old Hammerite on his Focus ST170 and the results are excellent. Don't know how it compares price-wise to the Halfords stuff though. Justin
  18. Wish I could blame my driving but he has never beaten me on the Kart track! Reckon I need to get rid of the crap jap rubber and soften the shocks up a bit to ride the bumps better. 400bhp and traction control would come in handy aswell! LOL In my defence my girlfriend was screaming all sorts of things at me whilst I was after him so felt I had to hold back a little bit to calm her down! Think she is a pretty good example of why there is no women in top level motorsports! Justin :p
  19. LMAO!!!  I must tell him that to restore some pride :D
  20. He's looking at the works conversion next! It cannot be allowed to happen!!! LOL
  21. Yeah, true Mickey, I guess the 'S' is a quicker car from A to B. I will have to demand a rematch on some nice A roads next time!
  22. Had a little bit of fun on the way back from a party on Saturday night with a mate in his Cooper S. I thought it would be a forgone conclusion as he has a lot less power and 2 more people in the car and he is no more of a Schumacher than I am! How wrong was I!!! It seemed that he was so much quicker out of the corners and I only started winding him back in when we reached 60mph. He never got away from me but I was never in a position to take him either. To be fair on myself these were quite narrow B roads with the odd roundabout thrown in. You guys reckon I should be ashamed by this because I do? Time for 15 psi methinks! Justin
  23. Cheers guys, nice to know i'm not the only one on here with my speedo like this. I would ideally like to get my odometer professionaly clocked so its all in miles. I am sure you can get this done and its all above board and legal. Justin
  24. Thanks Paul, should make some interesting reading:)
