Have just heard on the radio that Gordon Brown is upping the duty free allowance on things coming into the country from outside the EU. Think its gone up to £1000 from about £150ish. Gotta be good news for us lot buying parts from the States:D Anyone know anything more on this? Justin

The best place for KYB's etc is Chris. I can't remember what I pad. Think it was about £400.

Why not go for a decent spring and shock set up like Eibach/KYB. Much cheaper so more money to spend on making your car go faster with engine mods:D Justin

I hope this is not going to result in another expensive repair but the other day I was 4-up in my Zed and noticed that I was unable to show off due to the clutch slipping everytime I hit the fast peddle:( Ever since I have had the car the clutch biting point has always been quite high. When in the garage the other day for a routine job I was told that I have a slight leak in my clutch slave cylinder, would this be anything to do with this or is it time for my next mod, an uprated clutch! :shock: How the hell you can you justify spending that much on insurance for a year! I know the Zed is a great car but I could never say its worth that kind of annual payout. If I ever spend over 2 grand on something for my Zed I expect it to go faster afterwards :D In Houghtons defence I must say they have been faultless with me. I am 28 and am paying peanuts compared to what any other insurance company quoted me. I know Houghtons only really come out on top if you use it as a second car with limited mileage. At the end of the day the Zed is a mega quick car and am suprised that so many insurance companies will even speak to anyone under 25. I remember a few years back when I was 21 asking about insurance on a Cossie and the guy laughed at me down the phone! :cry: That said, luckily there is Insurance companies that will sort you out I am sure and for less money than Flux I would think.
