  2. I have had my dustcaps half-inched before :headvswal
  3. Now dat is da geeza from da paxo cru!
  4. A few years back when I was heavily involved with the Hot-hatch brigade  I thought that Zed owners were all big bruisers with skinheads, earings, chunky gold bracelets and chains, 3/4 lengh leather jackets and being towed along by an angry looking Pitbull with a studded collar. You know what I mean, the sorta guy that told ya to fook off at the door of your local club for being too pissed! :duffer::mac1: Seeing I have not met too many of you guys yet, how many of you really fit or come anywhere close to this description? Justin;)
  5. Dewi, he would have a job to get a decent tubs for that price anyway but if he could raise a few more pennies to get one (3 grand for a good one) then he might get a good deal on insurance from Bell.
  6. Leave the poor guy alone! LOL :nono:
  7. LOL, I still miss mine even though my Zed is amazing. Although I have to say, I think the MR2 is a good deal more reliable in General. Have you found the same owning both?
  8. I had an MR2 turbo before my Zed. Seriously quick motors. Not much I can say that Timmy has not already said. Although I was under the impression that Rev 1 and 2 were about 220ish bhp and the Rev 3 was 242bhp. What he really wants is a T-bar rev3 turbo but good luck in finding one, I couldn't anywhere, they were all sodding solid tops! Guess what I got instead:D Oh yeah, and once insurance time comes then Bell Direct is who he will be wanting to speak to. For my info go to http://www.mr2dc.com Good luck to him in finding a good'un:) Justin
  9. I guess I better get on MSN and ask you what GB this is for ;)
  10. Oh no, not this again! :slap: Can the powers that be please pass a law that means all Zeds are to be made red to stop us going through this argument again! :D
  11. Mine by any chance? :D Justin
  12. LOL, They always said the Japs copy Europe when it comes to car design. Now is that a dead ringer for a Wolsey Hornet or what!
  13. Well done Matt, you deserve it:)
  14. Ok, Thought I would update now I have a bit more information. I have reported the incident to the Police and have to hand my documents into the station. I called the vets and luckily the dog is looking like he will be ok. His name is Gilbert and all he has is six or seven broken ribs after they opened him up for a look. He was also microchipped so the owner has been contacted. I called the owner yesterday evening and she was very nice about it all. She thanked me for calling and for stopping in the first place. She said she is pretty sure that Gilbert is insured but needs to just check that the policy has not expired. She is going to call up the insurerers and see where I stand with the damage to my car. I am thinking that if this becomes an insurance job then it might well be a right off:( What you guys reckon? Its a "P" reg suzuki swift 1.0 and I reckon its valued at about £1200. I should think seeing taht insurance repairs are always done properly that it will need a new radiator, n/s headlight, support beams, bonnet, grill, and front bumper (£300 just for this as far as I know!). Its gotta be a close call surely  Thanks again for all the replies, Justin:)
  15. LOL  It's always best to try and have a good sense of humour with stuff like this:) I will let you all know how I get on later.
  16. Thanks for all the replies guys. I think I will get down the Police station after work today and get it officially reported. I have the vets number so I will call them and see if they know anything about who owns the dog and if it is microchipped. I think all I can do otherwise is put a few signs up in the area and see if anyone comes forward. Surely someone will be missing their dog! Justin
  17. Just as I was driving home in my little Suzuki Swift from my girlfriends house about half ten tonight a black Labrador decided to leg it right out infront of my car. I slammed on the anchors but I had no chance even at the speed I was going at which was no more than 30 mph  I was sure the dog would be dead as it must have been pushed about 20 feet up the road but amazingly after the RSPCA came along it looks that the dog only has a broken hind leg so thank god for that! The dog had no collar on at all so I don't have a clue who the owner is. Looks in too good condition to be a stray. Now that the most important thing is out of the way I can now go on about the state it has left my poor daily driver in. Apart from the radiator having a few dents in it where all the debris hit it I have all the front support beams bent in (hopefully be able to straighten them myself), I will need a new front bumper, grill and most probably a new bonnet:( I spoke to my girlfriend and she is sure that the owners of the dog are liable to pay for the damage to my car. I know the most important thing is that the dog is ok but I was totaly unable to help hitting the poor thing and now thanks to some unresponsible owner letting their dog wonder about in the middle of the road late at night with no collar on it looks like I will be paying out more of my hard earned! Does anyone know where I stand on this issue legally? Thanks guys, Justin.
  18. I think ideally yes. I have however left my car with the targas off a fair amount and the alarm has only ended up going off a couple of times.
  19. If you want a car to run 1/4 miles then why don't you look at a tuned yank muscle car. They won't go round corners but not much is quicker down the strip.
  20. I would be up for this as long as work does not get in the way:)
  21. LOL, don't be fooled by the 3GTSE in the MR2 turbo. Some of the fastest Supras in the world bin the 3 litre lump in favour of one of these and I have heard of MR2's running 800bhp plus in Japan. As for your dilemma, well the MR2 turbo is a great car, I used to have one but the whole 2 seat thing was an issue. I think the GTO is a lovely car but it is let down by not being able to take the roof off. A big deal for me seeing I only use mine at the weekends and Summer is here:D Do yourself a favour and buy a Zed. If you do your homework and buy a good'n then you wont be dissapointed:) Justin.
