  1. You won't feel a difference all other things being the same (although Shell claim their additives increase throttle response etc etc)... RON is a measure of a fuel's resistance to knock NOT calorific value; i.e. the difference you would feel would be, say, on a warm day 95ron would detonate whereas higher ron fuels wouldn't.
  2. Definitely keen on this... will struggle in April/ beginning May though 1. Kirbz + 3 2. Jeff + Team 3. Shrek 4. ZX-TT+3 5. Mikael Jackson 6. zx-eyes 7. vasgreenz 8. PhilP 9. Jaffa 10. Yassa 11. 3. Yeah, but if you move it and the engine frequencies are different in the new location to the original (they will be) then it won't work... so you may as well bypass it!
  4. garage trade plates? not sure on the legality - you'd have to check with them...
  5. I've used http://www.dayinsure.com before, and there wasn't a problem with group 20 cars (was about 2 yrs ago tho)
  6. no - unless it's on a trailer.
  7. There's a company on us ebay selling them - they're all going to come from America wherever you buy though as RHD are no longer available...
  8. The Bong is the speed chime (assuming it's an import?!). Have you got a speedo convertor fitted? Could be a dodgy connection on that...
  9. Sorts out the problem of them not matching the centre panel - they replace the reversing lights :wack:
  10. My old car had one in too... thought it would be safer to set it off than just throw it in the bin :) (p.s. if you do set one off, be prepared for smoke... LOTS of smoke!!)
  11. In fairness to the guy, the link he sent was just a gallery - you can't view his profile or other pics, or buy them for that matter??
  12. I think the thread clean up police have been busy in here?!?! Or am I going mad... good pics, think the red 300 is luke borg's too??
  13. if you remove the nut completely, when the wheel finally comes off, it flies off - leave the nut on a couple of turns to stop it...
  14. Theres Rik Woods in Stockport: http://www.ricwood.com/aboutus.html only know of him as he built/ tuned an engine for my mate's beemer... does race cars rather than road cars, but knowledgeable guy who may be worth a try... no problem with autos or high power... http://www.ricwood.com/rollingroad.html
  15. Don't fully remove the centre nut... when it finally does give way, it avoids a potential smack in the face!! If you bang on it from behind each side it often 'shocks' it off... rather than the brute force approach.
  16. yep - I remember it was about 6k(!) from Nissan Europe I think... courtesy used to list them cheaper as well...
  17. Not sure about now, but they were certainly available 2/3 years back... I think someone actually had one fitted on here too!
  18. I've had it both ways too... and can DEFINITELY tell the difference:confused: steering weight was completely wrong, and I'm convinced the convertor is the reason my ps fluid boiled on the track, i.e. it was almost constantly assisting and the crappy cooler couldn't cope.
  19. I GET THAT:headvswal It was a suggestion - since the majority of newbies, and many existing members don't check FAQ before posting, and you seem to spend most of your time posting links to it - I thought it might increase the chances of people looking. Sorry for being so stupid and expecting car related faq's to be on the same page as forum faq's... don't know what I was thinking :slap:
  20. If it was a bit easier to find, people might look there first...! Can't a 'technical faq' link be added to the other 'forum FAQ' page??

quad's are crap on the road - novelty wears off very quickly! Corner crap, can't filter in traffic, and you look like a teenager who's nicked it!!
  22. Well there are a couple that are tricky to get to - you'll see when you remove the plenum. There's also one under FPR which often leaks... Are you're exhausts black?
  23. Have you tightened up the clips on fuel hoses? If you search for fuel smell hundreds of posts will come up... very common.
  24. If you have a search on here, you can drill a small drain hole in them to let the water out - easier than removing if you don't fancy it...
