Starting Issues
For testing you could blank them off, not to drive though with no way of releasing the boost when the throttles closed, bad for the old girl! disconnecting the afm is just a quick test to prove the issue is the massive air leak. Jeff

You checked the temp sensor connection and my advise for clearing the fuel? Jeff

Starting Issues
Yes been raided as you mention, try unplugging the air flow meter and start it up then, it should run and stay running as it is ignoring air leaks, sometimes issues will stop this working however. Jeff

Allow Me to Introdice Myself, My name is...
Plenty of breakers about for the rubber strip, ask on the forum unless you want brand new, saying that Nissan will rape you for the rubber strip, the fixings not so and used ones will be no good. Will see if I can get you the part number though. Jeff

Allow Me to Introdice Myself, My name is...
Few jobs need doing there bud, fit a Nissan fuel filter that one looks nasty, rubber seal across the back bulhead is missing, scuttle fixings missing and get hold of a viscous fan and get rid of the electric fan, they are chocolate. Clean enough engine though, nice one. Jeff

New Daily Drive
Audi A7 NICE !!! Audi, BMW AND MERC really rule the roost at the moment with style, performance and everyday use ! Really like the RS series Audi`s but are less of an everyday car and more of a "special" good thing is the A7 does not that far removed from the RS. Excellent choice, saying that having got both Audi and BMW cars does make me have something of a pernchant for them lol Jeff

Seen some almost criminal acts of speeding on youtube on normal roads when using both the M5 and M6 but the one below is real bad, between traffic and swerving lanes and driving on the hard shoulder is madness, I get the thrill of it but if your doing 70 mph and some one passes on the wrong side of you at 200 mph its going to scare the crap out of you, see how much the M5 bounces on the bumps too. Brakes for big toys
Info from New altlas car tech site: Reflecting its outstanding power and performance, the BMW M6 naturally features extra-large high-performance brakes complete with cross-drilled extra-low-weight compound brake discs. The double-piston swing callipers made of aluminium are optimised for both weight and stiffness and ensure stopping distances are shorter than ever before: Applying the brakes from 62 mph , the BMW M6 stops in just 118 feet. From 125 mph to 0 takes less than 460 feet.

Not sure Tony but there is a way to make most things fit, whether the z master cylinder would be up to the job is another thing. Jeff

Brakes for big toys
Decided to remove the wheels for some detailing and could not resist a picture opportunity of the standard brakes on the M6 , BMW had it just right, powerful as hell but with light foot accuracy, add the dynamic brake assist and they are incredible, seems fitting I guess for a 200 MPH car though ! Wow now that is fast !
Ok now probs here you go: 332 kph on GPS which is 206.295 mph He says on the last run speedo indicating 210 mph Suggests the speedo reading is near damn perfect for that kind of speed.!! less than 1.8 % over read Jeff

Before you get too involved just yet you need to try and start the car after first clearing it of fuel as it sounds to be flooded. With ignition off remove the fuel pump fuse ( black fuse box under bonnet by brake master cylinder, then turn the engine over with you foot fully down on the accelerator, hold this for several seconds, stop and pause for 5 seconds and repeat, again with you foot flat down on the accelerator. Switch off ignition and replace fuse, start the engine but with you foot OFF the accelerator until it catches, keep it running for at least several minutes before switching off, even if you have to keep it running using the accelerator, either that or switch the ac on as that should increase tickover speed. Now you have a warm engine, looking for the running issue is easier as the cold run time with increased fuel should have passed. Jeff
