Anyone have a SMZ version Zed?
- You can keep the rain guys....
Yes life is indeed good, Faro airport is undergoing a €32.8 million project to “expand and remodel” the terminal building, the work seems slow but with so many hoarding boards in place who knows, maybe the "big reveal" will be sooner than we think. What its should look like when complete............. nice ! Jeff- You can keep the rain guys....
So after a rainy week in old Blightly we arrived back in Pt last night around 8.30 pm in time to see the sunset over the airport with 26c, so different from a few hours later waiting for the flight at East Mids Airport, it was lashing down !! Slipped out of the airport and drove West into the sunset on a quiet motorway, 30 mins later turned into the driveway to see the auto sprinklers have kept the grass and flowers well watered, the sun now making a blazing sky look on fire was so nice to see, the night crickets chirping away and the pool lights on making the rear garden a sit and relax haven. Temp dropped to a comfortable 21c during the night, ac and fan on auto just in case, but awake this morning to blue sky`s and sunshine, 21c still at 6.00am, forecast 30c for later, breakfast by the pool right now, just seen one of our near Portuguese neighbours has dropped of a basket of fruit already at our main gate to welcome us back..... life is so different here. So plans for today, breakfast by the pool, sunbath, swim, lunch, snooze, sunbath and swim. Clean the car ( in shade ) later go for a cruise down to the Marina and park up outside our favourite restaurant and have evening meal watching the sun go down reflecting in the water amidst the boats, fire up the V10 and cruise back to the villa for some shut eye, Friday ? well ditto really............oh and cannot wait for the weekend so I can have a rest ! lol Actually Sunday is car show day so M6 going to get a detail over the next few days and hopefully get there early to secure a better position than last time, and then I guess I can have a rest next week... So as per title the..... rain, its a British thing I know to brave it out whatever the weather but nahhh you can keep guys, I do hope though you get some good Z days with what is left of the UK Summer !! Jeff- Bye bye EU
Ha ha, no need to pack just yet and if I had to coming back to the UK would not be my first choice, seriously worried for you guys, just heard on the news the Bank of England guy having a plan in place, then breaking news the UK has now lost its position as the fifth largest economy in the world....chaos on the markets Sterling in free fall jeez what a disaster.. those who voted out need to reflect on what they have started !!- Bye bye EU
- Coil pack bolts
Those are the ones that hold the coil packs down to the plenum, I think Richie means the ones that hold the bracket to the coil, from memory they are M6 thread, with 8 mm heads Jeff- Mappers discussion
Nothing personal eh then Danny boy ?? .....and as far as this click you speak off, your mistaken, there is no reason for it to be, so chill and take five mins and think about things will clear your mind. No reply required sorry for the thread hijack...I am off for a swim to hot here ... Jeff- Mapping and reliability ..........
Simply an opinion on what I see, and what the larger membership need to be aware of, do not see anything that reflects badly on the forum here, maybe ask yourself why the thread has had so many views with so few complaints. Not my quote but very fitting: "If your`re not helping to make it right, then stop complaining about it been wrong" So I made my stand to bring this subject to the attention of others, and your thinking is exactly why I did, bury your head in the sand all you want, but this education ignorance is foolhardy, get wise it will save you and others their hard earned cash. Jeff- Mapping and reliability ..........
Rebuilds are not the problem, just making sure it is safe after is. Jeff- Interior mirror replacement
Should be a few good uses ones available, try Jimmer see if has one. Jeff- Mapping and reliability ..........
- Mapping and reliability ..........
- are all dyno's equal
Do not get worried yet, the build is good, the parts good, just get the map checked out by another, you will be running in anyhow and if you keep the boost under good control till revbit is run in you can get the map checked out then, my point is really more about standard engines mapped to produce silly power and the said mapper squirming out of responsibility when it goes wrong even on rebuilt engines. Jeff- are all dyno's equal
Well said Dave like you view on big bhp etc, the engine build is without question having been done by Jimmer so that is all good, fingers crossed the mapping does not kill it in the long term though. Jeff- are all dyno's equal
You need to read this thread fully........ http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?184969-Mapping-and-reliability Jeff- Mapping and reliability ..........
This thread has received 1500+ Views and was posted 16th of April, which would suggest enough time and reads have elapsed for this, but would welcome any further comments. Jeff- 300ZX Portuguese style

I'm not 100% sure who your on about bit have a fare idea and I think your out of line (my personal opinion) Ok well I can see our paths crossed back in April 2014 David and can also see it was at the same time you had been to said trader so guess I can understand your ingenuous position but this thread has nothing to do with been out of order, this thread was written to help maintain some sense into what has been to me a conspicuous attempt at making money with NO comebacks, full of underlying get out clauses, overcharging, cash payments and little or no receipts, add to this the numerous get out of jail cards for said mapper has resulted in more disappointed and out of pocket zed owners than happy ones, his well known side kick (your mate ) is complicit with all of it too  I know people who have used enthusiasts garage with a workshop in the past and been extremely unhappy with the work they have had done or rather not done but still never the less been charged for. That`s bad if true, do you mean me by any chance? would love to know I think that running a garage is a very difficult thing to do you carnt make everyone happy all of the time Why of course! but running it morally is just as important, sadly missing in said case (s). In fairness anyone with half an ounce of common sense would realise that if you want a high powered reliable zed you need to dig deep and min have a full engine rebuild even stock with a few uprated internals and then there is your cooling system and so on I am no mechanic by any stretch but understand if your going to create more power then everything needs to be upgraded if you carnt spend the money keep the car stock. Well this is were we get to the point been made, you speak of anyone with an ounce of common sense would realise etc, etc. as if those that do not have common sense can only blame themselves ! As for slagging off other members traders, I think that's quite unprofessional as I presume you still class yourself as one, there are always two sides to any story. No I am not longer an acting trader as such, and been unprofessional does not come into it, yes I involve myself in my now free time to help and advise, I do though after near 20 years working within the Zed marque of cars feel compelled to protect it from the scurge within the industry who have no long term plan, this is nothing new by the way, there hase been several if not more " zed specialists " over the past 15 years or so that thought they knew best about making money and running, saw every single one off in my time despite efforts to down me! Times are different now, I am on the outside looking in and no longer subject to the constraints of business ownership and the inevitable target that is painted on the back of every self employed person, I will speak up where ever I can on this subject that was a massive part of mine and my families life and it is kind of like my duty!! Jeff- Petrol Warning Light
Seems a common problem when fitting led to the low fuel lamp holder, guessing is due to the very low resistance of an led over a filament bulb, be inclined to fit the filament bulb back in. Jeff- Happy Birthday TonyB
Nice one Tony 65 yrs !! whipper snapper !!!! have a good one. Jeff - You can keep the rain guys....
