  1. I've got an st205 as my daily driver, and it's a fabulous all-round performance car - probably one of the best out-of-the-box jap performance cars to live with in my opinion - You get the looks, decent fuel economy, relatively cheap insurance, pretty easy maintenance, and all-weather safe performance with that 4wd. Having said all that, the zed is much more of a thrill machine - with a decent set of alloys, I think it's a better looking car and with the 3lt + turbo set-up, the power is much more thrilling (as is the rwd!). The 2lt 16valve engine of the Celica just does not have the low down grunt of the zeds 3lt, and there is noticeable turbo lag in comparison. Ultimatey, I'd never want to get rid of the zed, but could part ways with the gt4 if I had to!! Hope this helps, mate
  2. And a Happy Birthday from me, mate!
  3. And that's a ditto from me, mate!
  4. Or http://www.payperparcel.co.uk
  5. Give a set of bolt grip nut removers a go (sounds painful, but really isn't if used in the way they were designed!!) - My mate borrowed mine to remove the locking wheelnuts from his tvr...........Successfully, I might add!
  6. What a bizarre coincidence! Should have known from your joviality that you were a fellow zed owner!
  7. Belated happy birthday, mate!
  8. Have a word with Mike Feeney at MJP Eastern Auto (in the traders section on here) mate - He's a top bloke and deals with Stillen parts. And, to boot, he'll be able to get it cheaper than you can buy it yourself!
  9. Cheers guys! Much appreciated :)
  10. Hiyu guys and gals! Does anyone know if the moblie number ending in 95032 is still Martin from Zen' current number? I left a message with him on Monday (went straight through to answer machine) and have not heard back yet. I wouldn't normally be too concerned, but I sent him a text about a month ago and he hasn't got back to me on that either. It's possible he may be on holiday, too busy or having more trouble with his dad's health (I've not spoken to him for over a year, so don't know how things are with his dad), but he's got most of the bodykit for my zed at his workshop and I'd like to arrange getting it sent down. Is anyone going to be speaking to him or seeing him in the near future? It's a bit of a way for me to drive on the off-chance of seeing him! Cheers very nicely! Simon
  11. Did you take a close look at it, mate? That looks like the one which was for sale at a place near Speedwell (can't remember the name, but reckon Rich - Borderzed - will be able to answer that one!). Borderzed and myself stopped off and had a look at it a few weeks ago and it was in shocking condition - The front calipers were absolutely covered in rust (literally looked like they'd been left in salty water!) and the paintwork looked like LaLa and Po had been given a brush and a tin of black and had a crack at it! All for 7k - As mentioned!!
  12. I don't reckon they will be for a while now!
  13. Damn!! And I was looking forward to having a bash on that new go-karty thingamy-jiggy there!
  14. I enquired with No Limit Motorsport about the Ground Control spring rates when I bought mine, mate, and they told me the standard spring rates which Ground Control produce for the zed are 350lbs/front and 250lbs/rear. Can't comment on the ride myself as I'll be putting them on the car when it comes back from the garage........HTH!
  15. Many Happy Returns, dude!!
  16. My suspicions were correct! About who's zed it was, and not the National Front thing!!
  17. Sure can! Don't be daft, mate - Leave them alone!! ;) Seriously though - With the standard spring and damping rates, they are virtually unuseable on anything other than glass smooth roads! And, let's face it, you may find a couple of metres of that over here, but not a whole lot else! You'll be travelling at far slower speeds than on the standard set-up - Mainly due to the fear of being thrown off into the hedge and the pronlonged concussion from your head bouncing off the roof! Personally, I've bought some Kyb's to replace them and am gonna grab some Ground Control coilovers to fine tune the ride height.............. All the best, Simon
  18. Buy yourself a set of bolt grip nut removers!! Sounds like some kind of medieval torture device (and there probably was one back in those days!), but, trust me, they're absolutely superb - Your rounded nut will be off in seconds!
  19. Many happy returns and all that, mate!
  20. Got them on mine, mate - Don't bother unless you've got nicely polished, smooth roads to drive on - The springing rate is ridiculous for our 'highways'! I've bought some kyb's and am gonna buy ground control coilovers for them - A much better option for British road, in my opinion!
  21. I concur!!
  22. How's about the Lock And Weir/Chequers in Hanham? We've had a few meets there in the past - Can be real good venues when the weather's good!
  23. Yep - I know I was a very naughty boy going out with a 'hand-held', so keep it under your hat ;) I've had a look at the footage and it's not the best - What with all that bouncing around and stuff (I'll have to get myself fitted with a 'steady-cam-arm'!), but I like it! Simon
  24. Second one is Borderzed, mate! Had a fab day - Especially with some sideways action in the first session - Some great driving from Rich, there! Great to meet a few new folks as well as the familiars, too ;)
