  1. I presumed that all the Stillen ones would be urethane, but maybe I'm wrong! It has happened to me once or twice before!!!
  2. Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer! Can't be beat! Well, I'd like to think so, anyway!
  3. ......And I have a brand new and boxed RPS Sport Street clutch for sale with throw-out bearing, pressure plate etc. for 300 quid or reasonable offer if yer interested!
  4. Hiyu mate, I've ordered a front bumper from Rob at MadMotors and he seems like a really decent bloke - especially as he let me have a discount off the price of the bumper even when I wasn't able to get a group buy going. The customer service seems good - he's good at keeping you informed and not pushy in any way. I can't say much more than this at the mo, as the bumper I ordered arrived at him already damaged (from the States) and the replacement is still a few weeks away....!! HTH Simon
  5. I know it's extra expense, mate, but I can highly recommend a set of 'bolt grip nut removers' for getting those rounded off nuts and bolts! Sounds like some kind of masochistic toy, but I promise you they are genuine tools! And they are, if you forgive the pun, the nuts!
  6. I've just fitted calipers and discs from a 350z (Brembo golds) and they were basically a straight bolt-on fit, well if you ignore the fact that you need to drill out the caliper mounting holes to 14mm (a really simple job with the right drill bit!!). The only word of warning I would give is that due to the offset of the calipers and discs for the 350 (I believe it is a different case for the r34 Brembo golds - from what I have read!) the calipers are brought a good deal closer to the inside of the wheel (I have aftermarket 18's which give about the same wheel-caliper clearance as std. You'll need 18's - not sure about 17's - to clear the bigger disc anyway). I, and I know of at least one other person also, had to buy 3mm wheel spacers to clear the caliper. I can't yet comment on braking performance - I fitted braided lines and am using Motul racing fluid - as of yet, as I've still got to bleed the system! HTH Simon
  7. Ahhh....right. Cheers, mate. I was wondering about cap sizes! Looks like it'll be the old-fashioned method for me, then! :)
  8. Okey-dokey! Ta! It's a bit of a toss-up between the peace and quiet of using an eezi-bleed on my own or recruiting the girlfriend and having some damn fine tea and biscuits, but probably having to put up with some conversation about tax accounts................
  9. Anybody used one of these to bleed the brakes on the zed? Is it any good? Or, will I have to go and get myself a friend to go the 'traditional route'?! Damnit!! I knew those friend things would come in useful..........!!!!!
  10. Cheers guys! I think a visit to Halfords is in order for me......
  11. ....In particular 350z ones. I appear to have clearance issues (between caliper and wheel) after fitting my golds today. I haven't yet received my caliper bolt washers, but don't think this is going to affect the clearance issue! Has anyone else who's fitted Brembo golds (especially from a 350) had problems with caliper clearance? What kind of sized spacers sorted it?? Also, why are there two bleed nipples (feels painful writing that!!)? Does it matter if I bleed the outer or the inner one first? Cheer, ta and thank you very much!
  12. Crickey!! I'm pegged as an alcoholic already - word travels fast!! :) It's probably not me, matey, as mine hasn't done many miles lately due to it having a bit of a winter refit. With working commitments and sparse decent weather, I've managed to change all the suspension, and now, thanks to a delivery from Mr Postman, have some nice 350z brembos and some braided lines to fit - where is that semi-decent weather? I need to be able to stop!! Mines a red H plate swb with 99spec rears and 18inch 5 spokes. Once it's been up to Topless and back (for a nice engine/gearbox and tubby change :) ), then I'll be hitting the tarmac a lot more often - especially when the weather gets good! I havn't seen many zeds in this immediate area, but was behind a black one in Peasedown this morning. There is also a metallic grey G reg with some nice 18's in the area, but I don't know who drives that either! I'll keep an eye out for you in when I'm in my zed, but in the meantime, if you see a black G plate golf gti flashing at you, it's probably me! Well, unless you pulled out in front of somebody or something!!!
  13. Jap spec with std alloys and what looked like Stillen type III side skirts. I was behind you in a black G reg golf from the roundabout by the Merc garage until just before you turned off into the Westfield trading estate! C'mon, who were ya, then?!!
  14. Hello mate! Naaa..... I was in a mk2 Golf Gti at the time - nearly flashed out of habit though!! Nice looking car - what rims are you running on? Simon
  15. Yesterday evening, just before 5, going down into Dunkerton from the Bath direction. G reg with 99 spec front bumper and nice set of 18inch black rims on - looking and sounding good! Twere it you or someone else??!
  16. I really can't believe what bad luck you've had with your car, Lee. Fair play to you for sticking with it and investing lots of cash in to try and get it running correctly - it would be a shame to lose the lot and still end up having to break her, mate. Hopefully some more qualified help than mine can help you make up your mind as to whether it'd be cheaper to invest more in to get her going right or take a chance on a another one. I hope you get this one or another zed running as it should soon, as you sure deserve to enjoy the pleasures of a well running one soon, buddy! All the best, Simon
  17. Where did you get yours from, if you don't mind me asking, mate? Simon
  18. The best price Rob from Madmotors can give us on the urethane Greddy Gracer bumpers is 365.00 each. He hasn't stated any minimum numbers for a group buy yet, but I have asked him, so I'll start a new thread when I know!
  19. Really sorry to hear that, Gaz. You get some complete w*****s out there, and it's probably been done in jealousy by one of them. I hope you get it repaired with out much cost to yourself, bud. All the best, Simon
  20. Yeah, I know what you mean - my first thought was whether he was trying it on a bit, but, personally speaking, I know it'll cost me less to get the whole bodykit I want from suppliers over here than order it direct from the states, as it'll cost me no more, and probably less if I wait for them to get a big consignment in - it's the shipping that is a real killer! Let me know if you're still interested, as I'm happy to order from him even at 399.00! Simon
  21. Latest e-mail I've had from him is that the 2006 price has gone up to 399.00, but he can give us a group buy at the old price of 365.00. He hasn't stated how many numbers he'd like for that price and is going to check his suppliers to see if he can get us a better one...... fingers crossed as on the face of it, we're not heading for much of a discount from the prices already on his site! Will keep y'all posted as and when I get to know myself ;)
  22. Hiyu Rich, I emailed Madmotors yesterday evening, after seeing your link, to get a few more piccies to be certain it's the urethane version of the Greddy Gracer he's selling (which it is, unsurprisingly!). Had a reply back this afternoon and it's a 4-6 week wait, but I have asked him if he'd be interested in doing a group deal with us and what kind of numbers/prices we'd be talking about. Will let you know when I hear back :) Simon
  23. Yep, I'm always up for a bit of consumer power, mate! There's got to be some more folks out there who are after a quality looking piece of front bumper like the Greddy Gracer!
  24. Ah....cracking find there, sir! I've been looking into importing a urethane version of the Greddy Gracer front bumper for a while now, but it's the shipping that is a real killer - it'd work out about 700 quid, with taxes etc., for the front bumper alone if importing from z1motorsports, which is why I've been saving for the other bodykit parts as the shipping is the same for a whole bodykit as for one item! I won't bother now - instead I'll be placing an order up in Halifax.............Cheers! Simon
  25. I had the nasty blue smoke appear as soon as I decatted mine!
