  1. Great stuff. Thanks for all the replies, guys - I've got a nice little list to work my way through, now!
  2. Hi guys and gals! Can anyone recommend a cheap courier/pallet company? I have an engine, rad, side skirts and rear bumper which I need to transport from Alford in Lincolnshire to my part of the country (Bath area!). I haven't needed to use one before, but am thinking that it'd probably be more expensive to get one from my area, or one of the more well known companies! But, who knows? I could be awfully wrong!! Cheers, Simon
  3. Purple trowel! Hmmm....wonder where you get one of those from?!
  4. J reg on the A367 going through Westfield. Passed you at about 1.50 this afternoon - looked standard apart from being lowered!
  5. Hiyu mate - My name's Simon. Could you email me at striker@stotney.wanadoo.co.uk, please? Possibley an important, though not urgent, matter. Thanks
  6. Horrific news. Rest in peace, David.
  7. This afternoon/evening on Bear Flat. Standard looks apart from a high rise spoiler on the rear!
  8. Looked std apart from the non-sexy space saver on the front offside.....
  9. Yep - definitely use the bolt grip nut removers (ouch!) - They'll fly off.
  10. Yep! I'm very happy with the quality of the polyurethane Greddy Gracer replica I bought from them. Rob is also a top bloke and very helpful - Customer service is excellent!
  11. Red M reg going through the town of Le Mans on Friday. Large single exit exhausts and a few decals on there, if I remember correctly! Sadly, I was a passenger in Peugeot 807 at the time!!
  12. In my opinion, mate, it's not worth the ris- unless you're prepared to replace the tubs if necessary. As soon as I decatted mine, I got the dreaded blue smoke - no real problem as long as you keep a regular eye on your oil level, but you gotta say it's a little embarrasing having plumes of oily smoke coming out yer nice-looking car! A much better bet for some more performance, I think, would be to get a boost controller and up the psi's!!
  13. Yep! It's definitely a good 'un! I'll have to remain undecided though until I can get to see one in the flesh. Or plastic, or whatever it is made of......!
  14. Quite possibly!! Can you post any pics? Cheers.
  15. Excellent choice! Probably the best spoiler for the zed out there! But that's because I'm a prejudiced monza owner myself :D Incidently, you don't have to fit the centre upright - it still looks just as good, and sometimes it means you can see the badge or perhaps part of the grill on the car behind :D Anyway, there's no real problem with knowing what's behind you - cuz that's where it's gonna stay!!!
  16. I was parked right next to a supra - wondered who the ringer was!!! How on Earth did security miss that?! :D
  17. Nor me! And I've been dying to see some Japfest piccies (I probably should've taken some, then!) whilst I'm at work (and hard at it, too, naturally ;) )
  18. Sorry to hear that, Yas. Hopefully you'll be able to get some decent money out of selling the bits, mate, and, like ya say, at least it's made up your mind for you - sometimes it's nicer for fate to take some decisions out of our hands! All the best for the future, Simon
  19. That's exactly how the window failed in my Golf. I thought there was a severed connection, too! Strange how carbon build-up caused it to happen suddenly like that, but that's what the cause was. You're right to be cautious if the zed's your only car at the mo - as there's no gaurantee it'll work - it's just worth a shot if you've got nothing to lose, if ya know what I mean! All the best, Simon
  20. Hello mate. I've never dealt with a zed window motor before, but if you can actually get the motor case/mechanism open, then it's got to be worth trying to clean up the commutator of the motor itself (try a very fine grade of sandpaper). The most common reason for failed electric motors are just a build-up of carbon on the commutator itself. Other than that, you get magnets going weak over time (one reason for them slowing down) or a breakage with one of the windings (forget it and chuck it in the bin!). I've repaired window motors to good working order this way before, and it'll save you a few bucks!
  21. Has it got 'Here I Go Again' on there, mate? One of my all time fav tracks! C'mon get those air ge-tars out!!
  22. I hear you abuse the old lady mate!! Occasionally wringing everything you can out the gal!! Bought her a nice set of boots though recently, though.......! Give her a pat on the back from me!
  23. Don't worry, my dear - I'm sure there's plenty of gas left in your tank! And with American prices, you'll be able to afford to put a lot more gas in your tank than us!! I'm going to hit 34 this year, but I reckon it keeps getting better - I'm happy to kiss 20 goodbye! Or kiss a 20 year old goodbye for that matter! Anyway, make sure you have a few whiskeys on us tonight!
  24. Happy Birthday Lil Pinky!! know it's rude to ask (but that's not going to stop me anyway) but how old are you, then? Simon
