  1. I'll be boozed up in Weston leering at women in short skirts with long tanned legs! But if any of you want to provide me with some real Saturday night eye candy then do get the zeds out for a blast around the sea front!! :hyper:
  2. Yep!! I have. I'll pm you the details. Cheers, bud!
  3. Hiyu mate! I'm interested in a bit of roadside and recovery (with a fit chick, obviously!!). How do I go about sorting it??! Ta awfully! Simon
  4. Christ!! Probably won't be seeing you on my travels then! Besides, we all know that red ones are far too fast to see with the naked eye!!
  5. There's a grey one which I've seen around the Midsomer Norton area a few times - think it's a J plate (with a decent set of alloys again!). What's yours look like, mate? I drive a red H reg swb (standard alloys at the mo!) - well when I'm not in the old golf, that is!
  6. ........ TWO!!!! Red M reg in Bath driving past The Royal Oak pub at about 1.15 and then a silver J reg in Cribbs Causeway about an hour later! Both with nice (aftermarket, strangely!) sets of alloys. Was it you? Was it me?? Was it someone else??! Be darned if I know!! Simon
  7. Just to throw my two-peneths worth in, I'm gonna be going for Motul RBF600 Racing brake fluid when I change my brakes. It has great high boiling points and is Dot 4 compatible. Apparently you need about 1 and 1/2 litres for a full change, so 2 to be on the safe side! The cheapest place I've found to buy this is http://www.camskill.co.uk - despite the 8 quid carriage, they still work out slightly cheaper than Demon Tweaks!! Simon
  8. If it's the same one I saw last night (Let's face it, it'd be pretty surprising to find more than one yella zed with round rear lights in Weston!!) then I believe it's Trevz old one. Don't know who's running it now, but it really needs a set of big alloys, methinks!!
  9. That's absolutely horrific, mate. I am so sorry to hear that. Deepest condolences to you and your children, Simon
  10. I'm up for a group buy on minty fresh! Not only does it look good, it tastes grrrrr-eat! Not sure about the dental floss though - I always end up cutting my gums to shreds! Maybe we could get some plasters, too??
  11. Cheers Dave, That all makes sense to me; there's no point in doing half a job, as they say! Vijay, can you put me down for a set, please?? Shall I post a cheque to you, personally? Thanks all, Simon
  12. At such a good price, I'm interested mate! But, as I'm certainly only going to go for squeezing 15psi out of some stage1/2 tubs for the immediate future, in your opinion do you think it would be worthwhile me uprating to the 555's?? As I know the 370's would be being a bit pushed!
  13. Hi guys, Does anyone know what the standard spring rates are for a swb zed? Cheers and all that kinda stuff! Simon
  14. They don't look very good at football to me - I'll take them on!
  15. It did say South Gloucestershire, didn't it?? Surely they should be more concerned with the fact that his wife was also his cousin?!!
  16. Count me in for one of those hotcakes! Oh, and a boost leak detector! Cheers, Simon
  17. I think they're a bunch of jolly nice souls. Apparently it's traditional for their football squad to be beaten 3-0 by ours!
  18. I've looked all over the list, but I can't find Renault clio anywhere. 1.1 with plastic wheel trims. That's the baby for me!
  19. Could I get that Tia Carrera bird?:D
  20. Hello there, mate! Sorry for the late reply, but I've been off work sick for the past 10 days or so! Had about all the daytime TV I can manage for the next 5 years! When I ordered my filters, I e-mailed K+N first, and the guy did ask me several details, including what bhp the car was running (I told him 300), and he mailed me back with those as being suitable! Whether or not he made a mistake, I don't know, but it may be an idea to mail them and see if they come up with the same filter suggestion for you as they did for me? It'd be interesting to see how consistent they are! I certainly don't have any decrease in performance with the filters on my car, but maybe I would have got a better increase if there's something more suitable?? Let me know how you get on, bud, I'm certainly interested! Cheers, Simon
  21. Hiyu Dewi, I believe the k+n part no. for the filters that I got is RU3120. Unfortunately I forgot to look today, so I checked on the kn website and I think that's the right no.! The code seems familiar anyway! Filter bottom diameter is 102mm, top diameter is 51mm and length is 152mm. I will confirm that this is/not the right part no. as soon as I remember to check! Cheers, mate Simon
  22. Rather bizarrely enough, I was asking similar questions a few months ago! My zed came with the fantastic piece of automotive engineering known as the s.e. nissan maxflow kit already attached (oh, yes! The sarcasm's flowing!) When I came to check my filters (nicely secured over the ducts, aren't they??) I found that they were absolutely knackered! Searched for replacements (s.e. themselves want about 20 quid each for them) at all my local stores (including several branches of Halfords and a Partco) but no-one could turn up anything suitable including from the Hilux range. As there are about 20 billion different filter variations for the Hilux anyway, I think the assistants were glad to get rid of me as quick as poss! I ended up e-mailing k+n and got hold of a couple universal cone filters. I can't remember the part no.s off hand, but have got the details at home (Yep! Unfortunately I get to work till 6am this week!) I know that the bottom of the cone was 127mm, but think mine are slightly shorter than 170mm and are angled at either 10 or 20 degrees! Fitted both to my car (cost about 70 quid) and they look pretty good and are nice and secure. I now also get a nice induction suck (especially if the girlfriend gets flowers beforehand!!) - depending on how loud the stereo is, of course! Cheers, ta, lovely, Simon:rolleyes:
  23. You might be lucky and get 1 or 2 out of your set with the right gap, but you'll most likely find that you've got to adjust them yourself! Cheers, Simon (another one!)
