Stoooopid Question, 2nd hand exhaust
Personally I'd just put it on and drive the car as normal. If your engine is in good fettle, it won't add too much to the cr@p in there and may even blow most of it out..... ;) Don't run a hose or pressure washer through it as excess water will accumulate inside it causing rot from the inside. Richard :smw:

Just received this...how true!
hideous motors, but the "S" version is fekking fast though, they can do 165, with a 0-100 not far behind a ZX  Richard :x:

fastest zx owner ever caught...?
Quote from news story: She said: "Both vehicles were hurtling along in the fast lane and both were travelling at identical speeds which averaged 137.6mph and were overtaking slower moving cars. Police described the speed as outrageous." Err, you can't overtake faster moving cars can you ?? Didn't see anything about the road being crowded - ie there could have been just a couple of cars around which the guys would obviously have passed. I agree that 140 on a crowded road is dangerous and racing on a public road cannot be condoned but without all the facts, I think a jail term seems harsh. Story doesn't mention weather conditions light levels etc either. Thing is in today's PC anti-car tree hugging b@stard society any one of us (surely not ;) ) could face the same sentence for doing 140+ on a dry empty motorway in good daylight. Just because people now have this "speed kills" mentality. I agree that inappropriate speed is dangerous and always keep to 30,40,50mph etc limits and the only time I exceed the limit is on national speed limit roads in dry clear and quiet conditions. But the majority of @ssholes in this country think I should be hung for doing 100+ on an empty m-way, yet they happily speed past schools at 45.... :nono: Rant over :x: Richard :smw:

For those in Wiltshire
‘But the best result will be when nobody’s caught,’ said Mr Frampton. ‘For we want to see these figures reduced and people driving at safe and legal speeds. Yeah right  No more cash for their vastly inflating coffers then  Richard :x:

What engine oil in a TT?
Too thin at high temps for a ZX TT. Nissan stated 10w40, therefore don't go lower than the "40". The "10" bit refers to viscosity when cold - the lower the better for winter use. But 0W40 may still be a bit thin for a ZX so 5W40 Shell Helix is probably a better bet. I use that with no probs - no noise and good oil pressure when hot. For high mileage or highly tuned engines it is better to get a higher second number - say 5w50 or even 60 (hence many use CAstrol RS 10w60) but fuel economy may suffer with oil too thick. Read Oilman's thread in "sticky" posts for all the answers ;) Richard :D

I Hate F**king Police
Deffo the way to go mate.... .....contest the ticket and the only evidence PC Piglet can produce will be your car on private land - case dismissed as you weren't on the road when cautioned. Good luck :( Richard

Likewise, mate.... :hyper: Although I did post an answer to the original question asked by Mark early on (page 2, I guess), that was before all the other stuff started, so it doesn't count ;) Richard :smw:
