  1. Cheers Craig - and good to hear about your Zed too.... Must catch up soon mate!!
  2. Yup, spot on as ever Andrew - we went there Tuesday for a gentle coast-path stroll...... We stayed in Boscastle as usual though, I have a few artistic shots taken in the Welly car park, but haven't uploaded the camera photos yet?
  3. Cheers Jim - and you're dead right mate, of course the Zed is reliable..... As long as it's properly maintained? And considering the weather last week, Julia and I were so pleased you fixed my AC!! I reckon I said that almost every day, after we'd completed a 6 to 8 mile walk and got back into a nice cool Zed to drive back to our hotel...LOL!!
  4. Welcome back Jay - and thank you for your support, mate !! ?
  5. Yesterday, we returned from a well deserved week's holiday in Cornwall. We covered around 900 miles in the Zed, I certainly gave it a thorough workout - although by the time we got home, the car was looking pretty grubby...... ......So today, I gave it a good wash followed by a wipe-down with Auto-Finesse Glisten. It was looking rather shiny in the sunshine - so I couldn't resist a couple of cheeky pics. It's now safely tucked up back in the garage ?
  6. A belated happy birthday Lee - hope you had a great day mate....!!
  7. Welcome to the club - and good luck with your new toy!!
  8. Cheers Gary - I just hope the show proceeds as planned and that the organisers can maintain the attendees' safety. It's certainly been an unprecedented year, so I think we need to finish it on an optimistic high.
  9. Evening all, On the basis we have three volunteers, I have now accepted our stand for his year - with the provisional exhibitors (in order of stepping up) of: IanL Dbiagioni1 Aff68 Thank you all for your support of this great event - and, assuming it does not get cancelled, I shall keep everyone informed as and when I hear from the organisers!
  10. Lee, you have once again scared the living shit out of me mate....!! I logged in yesterday, only to find a totally different forum - which gave me concern I'd been hacked. Then I read your thread in sub-committee, which alleviated my concerns.... .....Then today I logged in and found everything I read and posted yesterday had vanished - which again raised some serios concerns until I read this!! Great work as ever mate ?
  11. It does indeed..... ….So, we have red, white and blue (assuming Ian is happy to show his lovely 'Vert again). Job done, I shall accept our stand - albeit on the proviso we can cancel without issues, should Covid-19 prevent us from doing so! Thank you gentlemen, Richard
  12. Thanks for your support mate - please do post some pictures; I shall look forward to that! Richard
  13. I second Gary's comment Dbiagioni1 - thank you!! It would be great to see your car at the NEC - if the show does proceed...
  14. Looks good Tom - sadly I shall be away so won't be able to attend. Thanks for sharing though; we need to get people attending car shows once more!!
  15. Must be something you said, Alex.....
  16. Nice one Ian - that's the spirit.... Your thoughts are pretty much in line with my own - I'm happy to exhibit, but I'm not so sure about staying for the duration either. So.... If anyone wants to volunteer their ZED for the duration - Thursday through to Sunday evening - but is only willing/able to man the stand for some of the time, that option works too... I'm sure we can manage the rota to suit. We all have work commitments and limited annual leave, not to mention personal safety, so can we still do it....
  17. Cheers Craig - I have to say, I am considering it.... Same as you, if all else fails
  18. 'Evening all, Today is the day we should confirm our participation - but I have asked the organisers if they will hold our stand until the weekend. I completely understand if no-one wishes to volunteer this year, but being ever the optimist, I won't give up hope until the last minute.... So if anyone is up for exhibiting - and/or manning the stand this year, please do let me know. Richard
  19. Happy birthday Rich - have good one mate! Richard
  20. We have a few likes for this thread - but no volunteers yet..... I appreciate it's a big ask - especially in the current times we find ourselves in - so is anyone up for it, or should we give it a miss this year?
  21. Many happy returns Bazz!! Richard
  22. Nice update Naz - and you can't go wrong taking your Zed to Jimmer..... You're dead right, there is definitely a good reason we all rave about his work.....
  23. Happy birthday Ian - have a great day mate! Richard
  24. 'Evening all. It's certainly been a difficult year for most of us, there's no denying that.... And whilst all the big shows have been cancelled - or held with a much reduced capacity - the NEC Classic Car Show is (for now) set to go ahead. https://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/ We have provisionally been given a stand with room for three cars - so who is up for it this year? As always, it's a pretty big commitment - you have to be able to leave your car there from set-up on the Thursday morning until take down, later Sunday evening. And preferably be on hand to man the stand (albeit possibly in shifts with fellow exhibitors) from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. We are very much aware of everyone's safety in these uncertain times - and the organisers are committed to the safety of exhibitors and visitors alike. So without further ado, I am looking for volunteers to participate in this year's show - and continue the club's run, in making this the 7th year in succession that, we will have been a part of a major show. I have just 7 days to accept or decline the offer, so there's no time to waste. Register your interest - with a few photos of your car and I'll put it to the members' vote..... The final - and probably most important matter - is that of accommodation. As a small club, we are mindful of what staging this event has cost us since 2014; particularly as it does not directly include or benefit the vast majority of our members. Hence we may ask that exhibitors pay for their own accommodation from now on. Thanks for your support
