Powerzed
Definitely mate! I'm happy for my local garage to do the oil changes and replace brake pads etc - but anything more than that, and it's off to Jimmer. Not worth risking it elsewhere - Jimmer knows these cars better than anyone.

RIP Eddie Van Halen
RIP sir - a sad loss to rock music☹️

What did you do to your zed today?
I haven't done much to mine this weekend - the weather has been pants - however I did do a little online shopping.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mintex-Front-Brake-Pads-For-Nissan-300-ZX-3-0-Turbo-1990-1995-MDB1416M1155/142410438796?hash=item212852d88c:g:hw4AAOSwgV1dly-L https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Fits-Nissan-300ZX-Z32-3-0-Twin-Turbo-Genuine-Mintex-Rear-Brake-Pads-Set/331919434623?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Whilst washing my Zed the other weekend, I noticed the EBC front pads I fitted about 7,000 miles ago had worn down to just a couple of MM - so I thought I'd try the Mintex M1155 compound. Hopefully they should prove a decent upgrade. Then I bought a set of Mintex OEM-replacement rears, as they were going cheap. My Zed is due an MOT and oil change before Nov 15th, so I'll have them fitted at the same time ?

Jap video meet in Belfast
Thanks Gary....! And yes, with hindsight, you're dead right - I should have kept it. I can't find any record of it at DVLA now, albeit I suppose it could be on another private plate. But searching for the number allocated after I took mine off comes up with "vehicle details could not be found." I'd like to think it's still around, but sadly it might no longer be?

Jap video meet in Belfast
I found an old picture, when mine was featured in the Toyota Enthusiast's Club magazine. It was Spring 2003, just before I sold it and bought my first Zed.....?

Jap video meet in Belfast
Nice - mine was an aero-top as well...... I also had the digital dash, very KITT-like?

Great pics Gary - your Zed is looking mighty fine as ever mate...!! I love the black Mk3 Supra in your first photo - albeit a distant shot. It reminds me of my old Soop - before I got bitten by the Zed-bug - I loved that car....?

Just joined, looking for information please.
Sure is - there's a lot to like.... But (more than) equally a lot to hate about that Zed. There are better examples out there to invest in - IMO of course?

Hi and welcome to the club! Richard?

Brexit Poll
LOL - and no worries guys.... Most of us know it's harmless banter - each to their own opinion I say, life would be boring as hell if everyone thought the same way? But Pebkau, you need to get yourself back in a Zed mate....?

Brexit Poll
Guys, I hate to be an onion in the ointment, but this is a car club, not a political forum.......? I have no issue with political debate - and will defend to the death, everyone's right to voice their opinion. But to balance the recent comments - and without voicing my personal opinion on the EU- fact is, the majority of people voted for brexit. Both in the referendum and in this very poll.... So any suggestions that the brexiteers are in some way less intelligent to the remainers is a little insulting to 67.74% of our members - if this poll result was extrapolated.

Happy birthday Stephen
Many happy returns Steve - hope you have a great day mate!! Richard ?

All these zed sales?
LOL - maybe Craig.... But I won't be joining the queue for a new 400z; the Z32 still remains my favourite Z-car!!
-
All these zed sales?
Yeah - I can relate to that too. Not necessarily a slicky - and definitely not a project - but a very tidy OEM+ SWB TT like Gary's would suit me just fine?
-
All these zed sales?
Wise words as always Steve..... ....I am still feeling the ZX love, but even I have had those thoughts, as I still have that V8 itch. And then I spend a week driving the Zed 900-ish trouble-free miles on holiday and that itch is scratched for the time being.....?

New owner of a TT Manual SWB
Congratulations on your purchase - and more importantly, welcome to the club Tony!! Richard?

NEC classic car show 2020
Whilst I think you may be right, I hate to say it - but I personally think we have to keep calm and carry on. Sure, let's mitigate risks by cancelling non-essential events like the NEC show; but another lockdown? That would be a disaster. Persevere with the herd-immunity mind-set; keep schools and businesses open. If we have to impose restrictions, then limit that to curfews, rule of 6 and close borders. But keep the economy moving at all costs - yes, peoples' lives matter, but Covid-19 is not fatal to the vast majority; we'll get over it, the country won't survive another full lockdown!!!

NEC classic car show 2020
Yup - the organisers have indeed cancelled this year's show. As Lee says, it was inevitable - better safe than sorry, I guess. Even if my personal opinion on the Covid-19 situation may differ from the majority, we have to ensure everyone's safety.
