  1. Just a thought Allan..... .......but have you made sure the web address starts "https" as opposed to just the normal "http"....? Richard:cool2:
  2. Seems genuine enough to me........:whistling: Richard:gun_bandana:
  3. I have to agree..... ....I don't like them at all:w00t: Richard:no:
  4. Exactly - couldn't have put it better myself:smartass:
  5. Now that is dead cool...... ........I've just asked Julia if she'd buy me it for my 40th in a couple of weeks! She said "Forget you pal" so I guess there may be a chance..........:online2long: Richard:sorcerer:
  6. Depends which type of policy you want...... ........classic (2nd car/limited miles); every day driver; highly modified car etc etc. For a classic policy Lynbrooks are very competitive. Adrian Flux is a trader on here, so you can ask their opinion too. Richard
  7. Nope - nice and dry here too...... ....although it's pretty cold! There were a few flakes on the car this morning though! Richard:laugh:
  8. It sure is Allan - remember that 5th gear project where Tiff and co tried to build a 200mph car on a (albeit £20/30k) budget? They used a Lotus Esprit V8 turbo and Tiff still couldn't get it to 200! I did think that the new M5 could hit over 200 if unrestricted; IIRC Jezza said so on Top Gear so it must be true....... ......but I reckon not many people would have the balls to try it though. Especially BMW drivers.......:tt2::D;) Richard:biggrin:
  9. Nice car Paul - I really like the Golf GT TDi - the 170bhp version is supposed to be a bit quick....... ......I have bought 2 of the 140bhp versions as company cars for a couple of colleagues. One guy drives 1500 miles a week in his and it never misses a beat! Good luck with it mate; and I hope your other half is OK following her accident. Richard:cool3:
  10. Welcome to the club! And good luck with your project...... Richard:sorcerer:
  11. Many happy returns..... Richard:rockon:
  12. Nice handiwork Alan:bow: A very tidy job I reckon!! Richard:cool:
  13. Allo Allo....... .....and welcome to the club! Richard:thumbup1:
  14. Welcome to the club! Richard:thumbup1:
  15. Welcome Luke..... .......you've come to the right place for 300zx knowledge! Good luck with the repairs - it looks a tidy car from the pics. Richard:biggrin:
  16. I'd have to agree....... .....I mean firstly look at the price it's up for! Then the standard M5 is no slouch - unrestricting the car will make it good for over 200mph anyway; so why pay £150k to make it hit 220 when you will never use it? Sure we have 155mph+ cars but even on the autobahn or track we'd rarely actually do that speed for a sustained period. And 200+ is way way different to 160.......... Richard:gun_bandana:
  17. Series one UK spec cars often had just an electric driver's seat - the series 2 cars had both seats electric and heated...... ........both my UK spec Zs conformed with the above; 1st was a 1991 and the 2nd is a 1994! Richard:cowboy:
  18. Nice one mate..... ....and you car looks good too! Richard:cool3:
  19. Me neither! Get the car to somewhere like Zedworld or Jimmer's and see what it will cost to put right. Richard:cool3:
  20. That looks absolutely superb mate! Richard:cool3:
  21. Many happy returns mate.............:happybday:! Richard:cool3:
  22. As above mate - you're wasting time and money trying to repair the one you have on the car now. I should know - I did the repair thing with my first ZX when I bought it (I hadn't discovered this 'site back then). Needless to say I had to buy a fibre glass replica not log afterwards and have that painted and fitted! Richard:cool3:
  23. Merc SLK350 - daily driver Toyota Rav-4 2.0 NRG - for bad weather; oh and Julia uses it to get around 300zx - for fun, weekends and holidays Richard:cool3:
  24. I think the question has been answered to the starter's satisfaction. Thread now tidied up................ Richard:cool3:
  25. Cheers everyone; and thanks for the offer of tea Daz; maybe next time mate...... .......Anyway back safe and sound. And tired!! Plus my client was happy with the meeting and agreed to pay the final balance:thumbup: Sadly no - I took the SLK; no business insurance on the ZX's classic policy. Plus even at silly speeds I can still do that mileage without stopping for fuel:innocent: Richard:biggrin:
