mates car gone!!!
Yup - I agree with Allan...... ......I remember back in 1990 when my then employer did the tax return for one of the directors of a large national construction company. This guy was pretty wealthy, being the son of the founding director. Anyway, he bought himself a nice new Merc 500SL, and during his first stop to refuel (in a not too nice part of London), he left the keys in the ignition...... .....you can guess the rest; and of course the insurance company refused to pay out. That was a £60k mistake.......:asshole: Richard:clown:

Inflation hits 'Fudge'! Now 17p!
Yup - I remember that too mate.......... Maybe Si - but so was the "fudge" - I guess you're just not old enough to remember.....:tt2: Sure was Alan - just like Wagon Wheels..... .....the WW slogan used to be "...so big you gotta grin to get it in......." Ahhh the memories..............of saying that to the girls in my class at the time:oops: Richard:online2long:

Ex member ripping people off
Fair point - I understand where you are coming from; and my response to your emboldened bit is "no"............ ........Steve has played it descreetly and chosen not to name the culprit himself; nor to add innuendos. Although reading between the lines it does seem there are some who have worked out just who did him wrong. Consequently those individuals may appear to have made cryptic suggestions etc etc. This thread is under our scrutiny and will be moderated if it gets out of hand! Richard:cool3:

How do!?
Welcome to the club mate! Take a look in the for sale section - there are usually some nice cared for examples going here. There are some good examples around for £3k; I only paid a little more than that for my latest ZX and it's truly an excellent example! Good luck in your search, Richard:cool2:

Bloody potholes!!!
Here here!! And the modern day Dick Turpins want over £400 to tax my daily driver after this March and for what?? What has really got me in the last couple of days is that here in Buckinghamshire the repair men have actually been out...... .......but they have done a half-arsed job. Sure some of the holes are now filled in but why fix one and leave another pot hole just a metre away.... Doesn't make sense.... Richard:asshole:

Ex member ripping people off
I'm sorry to hear of your problem Steve - and I fully respect your decision to allow the culprit to remain unnamed for the time being. I hope you get things sorted with the minimum of fuss. Good luck mate! Richard:no:

five or seven spoke wheels?
Just beat me to it Brian.... .......IMO 7 spokes can look good on a Z. But 5 spokes look good on almost everything - and they still don't look out of place when fashions change. So 5 spokes all the way for me Martin!! Richard:chef:

Jack Frost..."Piss Off"
I don't really mind it either - there are worse places to live......... ........but then again I could get used to a Mediterranean type climate. Hmmm; give me the sun, good sea food and wine; plus a boat, good deserted twisty roads to blat along etc etc..... .....and then I'll wake up:crying: Richard:cool3:

Lyle & Scott...... ......now that takes me back to my childhood mate!! Back in the early 1980s in the East End of London we all wore "diamond patterned" L&S or Pringle jumpers over a black or white roll-neck top....:whistling: Even the roll-neck had a lable on display - eg. Lacoste or Pierre Cardin...... Flip knows why we did it (or, more to the point, how we managed to do it!!!) :scared: Richard:1eye: PS anyone remember Ronnie Corbett wearing L&S in his "chair" sketches.......?

Tv Programs
Then for me it has to be cult classics from the 1970s and 80s. The Professionals; The 6 Million Dollar Man, Knightrider and The A-Team....... Richard:cool3:

PMSL.........:tt2: Edinburgh is a great city - although I'm not sure how good the night life is for a stag do, Allan. I took Julia there for a few days holiday a couple of winters ago.... .......So you're OK Brian - your mrs will like it!! Richard:cool3:

Leather trim revitalising
I did that on my red Z!! there was light scuffing to the driver's bolster (the previous owner was a big fella...). So I used the black scuff coat (after cleaning with a leather shampoo), left it to dry over night then finished it with Autoglym leather cleaner/conditioner. It worked brilliantly!! Of course, the leather was in sound condition anyway apart from some light scuffing - but a good result for little money and effort.... I believe the Woolies kits produce excellent results of the leather needs a bit more work. I have also used the Gliptone kit, back when I had a 1974 Jag, and that was pretty good as well. It was hard work from what I remember though........ Richard:cool2:

over the moon (rear lights)
Nice one mate!! And on the subject of scratched lenses, if they are only light surface marks (washing swirls etc) then you don't need anything so abrasive as G3; Autoglym paint renovator does the job pretty well too..... ......it also works on plastic headlamps! I've used it on the Rav-4 and the headlamps came up fine! Richard:thumbup1:

Is this right ?? £4500
Good!! I had hoped they would in the end. Once the usual £2k Ebay Zeds have blown up, rotted away or been trashed in "inexperienced" hands, it should only leave the good ones left. Good ones like cherished club members' cars perhaps.......! Richard:cool2:

Do you think that sometimes less is more?
I agree less is more..... .......the Z32 is one of those (few) cars that was just so "right" from the factory (especially from a "mainstream manufacturer)! It doesn't take much to ruin it IMO so the best enhancements are simple upgrades to its standard features. Richard:thumbup1:
