Hello and welcome to the club.....! And nice work in changing the cam belt yourself - I would just ask Jimmer... ? Whilst I can't answer your technical query, all I will say is be sure to use an original Nissan belt. I have seen and heard too many horror stories involving non-OEM belts - things like markers not lining up and poor engine-running issues after the swap!

......Which is why I haven't done anything to my Zed since Saturday.... When I packed it off to Jimmer's, to get the gearbox sorted. Duane from DWM Transport arrived, as promised, on Saturday morning - great service, and a nice guy as well, no wonder Jim recommends Duane to all his customers!

Exactly this.......!! I made that mistake - going for new wheels in the same size and offset as my old ones...... Only to find that the flat spokes of the new wheels would not even clear OEM calipers! I was lucky, the wheel company sold me new fronts at cost, with an off-set which cleared the calipers. And I managed to sell the "wrong" ones on Ebay. Otherise I would have been £00's out of pocket or would have needed spacers. And whilst I'm (fairly) happy to use spacers on the rears, I would prefer to avoid it on the fronts as I don't want any chance of high-speed steering wheel vibration problems ?

Agreed - especially the tidy, unmolested examples like that.....!!!

Thanks for the heads-up Gray.... I have spoken with the auto-box specialist and provisionally booked it in, in a couple of weeks time. However I had always planned to call Jimmer this week too, to see what he has available.!!

I do indeed Gary - and yes, I had the fluid changed three times in 13 years... Twice by Jeff and more recently by Jimmer in Nov19, around 6000 miles back. I have an upgraded Mishimoto oil cooler fitted too and until now, it's been faultless.... ?

LOL - yup... ? Biggest factor is the timing though.... As we all know, I like to use my Zed, so with the spring/summer almost upon us, I just want it back in service as quickly as possible ?
