  1. Hi Dave, looking at your car, I'd say neither! Leave them as they are - they look great against the black paintwork in their present state! Richard:wink:
  2. Welcome to the club Daz! Richard:cool2:
  3. Seconded..... .....and this question has come up on the forum before and, whilst I may take the extreme view, I would never remove the ABS system. IMO (and in the opinion of the automotive industry) ABS is one of the most important safety features in a car. So much so that back in 1990 it was only fitted to luxury or high performance cars; but now almost every car has it. Why do you think that is....? I don't care how good a driver you are (or think you are), but even the best "cadence braker" will not do the job better than a computerized ABS system. Leave it alone! Richard:cool3:
  4. I'm with Graham on that one..... .....sure, Halfords are fine for the odd purchase but I have seen how some of their chimps attempt to change people's lighbulbs under their "fitting service" and I would not even let them pull the bonnet catch on any car I own!! Take it to a proper garage mate! Richard:cowboy:
  5. Superb..... Richard:cool2:
  6. Hi BAzz, Only AndyP can check this out for you mate; he has only just re-subbed himself too so it might take a day or so before he has his full committee access. I'll chase it up over in the committee forums; and please accept my apologies on behalf of the committee for the delayed response. Richard
  7. Ooh, that doesn't look too good:w00t: I hope a good oil and filter change is all it needs - in fact it might be prudent to do another oil and filter change after a few hundred miles just to flush out any remaining crap in the engine.... Richard:ohmy:
  8. If it's for a Z32 then Jeff at Zedworld will do it for you - although I think he's on holiday at the moment..... Richard:sorcerer:
  9. THB matey - I only just noticed the wheels whilst drooling over the pics once more...... .....I never actually read the advert!! I reckon you're right about the wheels though - they do finish of the car nicely. Richard:cool3:
  10. I agree mate - and if I bought that car I too would leave well alone!! .......And in case anyone thinks I'm contradicting myself (as happens on internet forums LOL); if, for example, you were also selling a genuine 99-spec TT with original factory leather, then I would take it in preference....... Some things are best left as originally intended in order to keep them "special." Did it come from Japan with the UK spec rears...... Richard:cool2:
  11. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:cool2:
  12. Welcome to the club!! Richard:cool2:
  13. Very nice Baz - much better IMO mate!! Richard:cool2:
  14. Sorry to hear of your loss. To reiterate what others have said, in this country debts do not pass to the next of kin; if the person dies leaving nothing but debt. However debts must be repaid from the sale of any assets or from money held by the deceased, before the next of kin can take their inheritance. Basically the beneficiaries get what's left. Although I do not know for sure what happens to a house held jointly by the deceased and his wife - I guess that depends on the ownership. Whether soley by the deceased; jointly with their spouse or as tenants in common. Before instructing solicitors I'd seek advice from the CAB as it's free. Richard
  15. That's my understanding too - ie it's illegal to do it knowingly and mislead the buyer into thinking that the mileage is genuine. But if the car reads 85K and the dealer sells it as a 200k miler then no; the dealer has fulfilled his obligations under the law. Richard:chris:
  16. Many happy returns! Richard:happybday:
  17. LOL - no; we're all not as clever as you matey........:tt2::tt2: Richard:winkiss:
  18. Have a great time Jane! Richard:sorcerer:
  19. LOL - of course that would be sensible Jane...... ......but we're men and we only go to our GP if our head has been kacked off and is hanging by a sinew. And only then if our wives drag us there. Richard:biggrin:
  20. I reckon I'd go with idea too mate. Either way is not going to be pleasant but the nail clippers are the quickest. Snip snip; then a quick dab with lavender oil or TCP to cleanse the wound and prevent infection, pop on a plaster for a day and job's a goodun! Good luck Allan - let us know how you got on. Pics are not necessary though mate.......:whistling: Richard:cool3:
  21. LOL - so what does that say about us then Brian.......:whistling:
  22. You're welcome mate - it's just awesome! And I agree with you, I'd take the car for what it is. That's a genuine future collectors' example which only comes up once in a while....... ............It's just me; I prefer leather interiors, which all my cars have. What I meant was, if it came with factory leather then it would (in my eyes) be the absolute perfect 300zx! Good luck with the sale - I'm sure that will go to a good home. Richard:thumbup1:
  23. I seem to remember reading once that on a turbo car, bigger pipes to remove back pressure are fine. However on an n/a car then you need a bit of back pressure - so the kids who fit dustbin-size exhausts to their Corsas and Saxos etc are actually reducing performance..... ......Like i said, it was a long time ago when I read it; so no doubt someone more knowledgable will step in and correct me if I'm wrong! Richard:arabia:
  24. None for me - so I cannot vote.......
  25. An absolute beauty - and only a leather interior away from being perfect!! That's worth every penny of the asking price and will be a fine example of the marque for a long time to come...... Richard:cool3:
