  1. LOL - just messing with you matey!! Richard:tt2:
  2. Yup - V8 all the way mate!! As nice as the VG30DETT sounds on full chat, you just can't beat the burble from a V8. It's not the petrol-head's choice of engines for nothing........ Richard:winkiss:
  3. IMO it's best to leave the OD on permanently unless you have no need for the car to go into top gear. However if you're booting it around the country lanes or enjoying a spirited drive up hill and down dale, then switch it off so that you can maintain the high revs for quicker turbo spool-ups. Welcome back Craig; it's good to see you on the mend mate - and no need for the apologies! Hopefully I can pop along for an hour or so as well. It'd be good to meet a few more local Zedders!! Richard:cool2:
  5. LOL - biggest hardest bloke you know.....? .....have you actually MET Ian.....:blushing: Anyways Jane - back to the plot. Warranty/sold as seen aside; as a dealer the supplier is obliged by law to ensure that what he sells is fit for purpose. You have given the dealer more than a reasonable opportunity to put it right and he has failed. I'd say that you are now entitled to your money back. It's not like you have had the car for a year and it's suddenly developed a fault. You've had it a week and the problems were there from day one; plus you have the advert which claims full history etc - it clearly was mis-described as well. Good luck Jane; keep us posted. Richard:flowers:
  6. Nice one Steve - and all the best to your daughter mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  7. Likewise mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  8. It's looking good Ian!! Richard:thumbup1:
  9. Happy birthday mate - have a great day!! Richard:happybday:
  10. Welcome to the club mate! That's some great advice above - and good luck in your search for the right car!! Richard:sorcerer:
  11. Welcome to the club..... ....and good luck with your purchase!! Richard:sorcerer:
  12. Wow - a lot of manuals out there. I'd never have guessed they would be more plentiful!! I'm still on my original auto box............:sweatdrop: Richard:wink:
  13. LOL - me too; exactly for the same reason!! And the most I have won is about £100 for 4 numbers. I've had loads of tenners and quite a few 4 numbers; most of which have struggled to reach £50.... ....I actually think it's a racket now; what with all the different games and bi-weekly draws. I reckon they should go back to the one game drawn on a Saturday night. It's just a ruse for them to cash in on the paranoid types so we spend twice the money buying tickets:thumbdown: Richard:turned:
  14. Ask JeffTT who he would recommend mate! Richard:thumbup1:
  15. Many happy returns Dean - I hope you had a great day! Richard:happybday:
  16. Exactly what he said.... ......unfortunate but true Jeff. E-bay is shite nowadays and full of chancers just waiting to rip you off. Yes, you won it fair and square but unless the seller decides to let you have it, there's very little else you can do. Personally matey - I'd find somewhere to get my own one made up..... Richard:cursing:
  17. What about Lepsons - and I believe they're only based in Wiltshire so not a million miles from Somerset Dave.....? Richard:cool3:
  18. Exactly what Graham says mate! And a word of warning - if there were no witnesses and the general circumstances imply your mate was at fault (ie he pulled out of a junction) then the insurers will undoubtedly take the cyclist's word of events. Even if there were mitigating circumstances like no hi-viz etc. One of my drivers knocked a cyclist of his bike in London last year. It was on a quiet road; my driver was indicating to turn left as appropriate, but as he turned a cyclist decided to pass him on the inside. There was no cycle or bus lane and the cyclist should have seen my driver slowing to make his turn (and no, my driver hadn't overtaken him previously) but no. Anyway, the insurers ended up taking the cyclist's word of events just to avoid further action. Oh and it did turn out that the cyclist was a lawyer......:cursing: Richard:winkiss:
  19. Welcome to the club and good luck in your search for a ZX.... Richard:cool2:
  20. Hello, good evening and welcome..... .....to the club that is! Richard:cool2:
  21. That's damn quick......!! I'm impressed - good find Allan! Richard:winkiss:
  22. Off topic I know mate - but seeing your sig, I have to say your car is looking awesome...!! Richard:thumbup:
  23. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:cool3:
  24. As Voddy says, try Lynbrooks mate! I've been insured with them for at least 4 years now on a classic policy and my current ZX (owned for 2 years) is a UK spec 1994 L-reg. They let me have that as a classic..... .....I'm 41, clean licence, live in a low crime area and the ZX is garaged. I have a daily driver though; and my ZX is limited to 5k miles p/a but last November it cost me something like £230 to renew. Richard:cool3:
  25. Tis done matey - and I've voted.... ...the car is looking superb BTW Dave...! Richard:chef:
