  1. Good point mate!! Richard:blushing:
  2. I have probably got this wrong but....... .....I thought the 300zx TBs were bigger and the 200sx boys used ours as upgrades for their cars......:confused1: Richard:winkiss:
  3. Hi Mark, Kim is quite busy with work committments at the moment, so he does not get online as much as usual. Vodkashots is the club's NEO, so he's the first point of contact for national events .... I see no reason to delete your post; you're only informing members of another meet, which they might otherwise not know about. However I should point out that this event falls on the same weekend as JAE, so don't be surprised if you get very few takers for this one.... Richard:)
  4. That's a nice Soop Sudesh! Before I bought my first 300zx, I also looked at the Mk4 Supra as it was the natural progression from my old Mk3 Supra. As you say, the UK spec cars are really sought after and command the higher prices..... .....but (if I ever wanted a Mk4 Supra) the late model tiptronic would have been my next choice if a UK spec was not forthcoming!! However I'm with Gary though - I reckon I prefer the two red beasties in the background. Nice cars you have there mate.... Richard:cool3:
  5. That depends on the goodwill of the garage..... ....whilst I take my ZX to Zedworld for bigger, more specialist stuff; I use my local garage for its oil changes and MOTs. They also service my wife's car too - and if either car is in for an MOT they would replace any failed bulbs etc, but not charge for labour. It's the tiny gestures like this that keep customers happy and ensures they return again!! Great news on the pass though Lee.....!! Richard:thumbup1:
  6. I've just been out to give my ZX a dusting down with detailing spray ready for tomorrow...... .....it wasn't dirty enough to warrant a wash but it's nice and shiney now!! Pity it's just started to chuck it down - although the ZX is nice and dry in my garage:wacko: Richard:cool2:
  7. The more the merrier!! I hope you can make it Steve......
  8. Many happy returns Paul.... Richard:happybday:
  9. Happy birthday Graham - have a great day mate!! Richard:happybday:
  10. LOL - what he said!! Richard:thumbup:
  11. Has anyone with a Barclaycard noticed this new "scheme" they are promoting? I already have a "cash-back" card; but now, apparently, I also participate in their "Freedom rewards" sheme. I can earn extra money based on purchases in certain establishments; which (alegedly) can also be redeemed in "certain" establishments. Well after 2 visits to Just Tyres this month, I have managed to "earn" an extra £41 which I can redeem in any participating retailer.... ......of which, so far, I can work out there are none. Sure, they have many "participating" retailers wherein you can "earn" reward money. But they all seem to be "earn" only and not "redeem." What's the bloody point then..??? And as expected, on the Barclaycard website, the FAQs do not actually contain the obvious "where can I SPEND this so-called reward money?" What a flippin' con - I'll stick with my Amex as the cash back is actually worth someting!! Richard:cursing::oops:
  12. I'm still up for this so I look forward to seeing whoever can make it on Sunday!! Richard:sorcerer:
  13. Welcome to the club.... ....and I cannot say much more on the performance of an NA 300zx compared to a TT that no-one has not already said!! I know what you mean about the acceleration of a non-forced inducted car being smoother (and perhaps more instantaneous) than a turbod motor. My daily drive is a 3.5 litre N/A Mercedes which has 308bhp, and will probably pip my 300zxTT in the 0-100mph dash. But unless the power and torque of the comparable cars in question is similar (as you know, having had an NSX) then the more powerful/torquey car is always going to have the performance advantage, even in "real world" situations.... Good luck in your search, Richard:cool3:
  14. Welcome to the club mate..... ....and my learned friends have given some sound advice - this one being very sound indeed!! Good luck in your search; but I'd also walk away from the car on Pistonheads you posted a link to. Richard:cool3:
  15. Great news on the outcome Ian - and I'm sure everyone will understand the situation re any parts they have ordered...... We all know you'll sort things as soon as you can! And if there's anything I can do to help you mate, you have my number so do feel free to ask! Richard:cool3:
  16. I hate football myself Allan, but surprisingly I have been to the odd match or two.... When I lived in London, Tottenham was the nearest top flight team to me (as Leyton Orient was/is very low in the pecking order); so most of the kids in my school were either Tottenham, West Ham or Arsenal fans. A few of my mates were Tottenham supporters so I did join them in the odd trip to White Hart Lane back in the 1980s. I have also been to see Norwich City at home whilst staying with my cousin in Norfolk as a teenager. Despite not being a football fan, I did enjoy the atmosphere of actually being there, seeing it live in front of me! I hope you have a good time mate - and that Sunderland win for you. That would certainly make it all the more enjoyable...... Richard:thumbup1:
  17. Many happy returns Jamie - have a great day mate! Richard:happybday:
  18. Nothing! I'd buy a pair of clear ones for £17...... But if anyone wants a pair of carrots they can have my old ones FOC... Richard:thumbup1:
  19. Nice one matey - thanks for your support!! Richard:thumbup1:
  20. The Z33 wheels are the right offset for a Z32 but you will have to alter the tyre sizes a little as the 45 profile is too high with 18s. For 18 inch wheels you'll need a 40 profile on the front and a 35 profile on the rear. You can keep with the 225 and 245 widths with those profiles but you might be better going wider at 235/40/18 and 255/35/18 (or even 265/35/18). Richard:thumbup1:
  21. LOL - and to me also.......:whistling:
  22. Happy birthday matey! Richard:punk:
  23. Happy birthday mate!! Richard:cool2:
  24. Many happy returns Mike - have a great day mate!! Richard:cool2:
  25. I'm certainly up for this one too, so I thought I'd post an updated list...... 1. Vodkashots 2. Steve Burns 3. Rcoubrough (Ryan) 4. Gurteen0 (Ade) 5. Gio (maybe) 6. Ianl (maybe) 7. Andy Minto and Sylvia (maybe) 8. CooperSWB (maybe) 9. RichardSmith ....come on fellas, get your names down as it's this Sunday!! Richard:cool2:
