Hi all, I have one here for the techies.... I have bought a 32gig USB pen to plug into my TV for recording purposes. The TV says I need to format the device, so I plugged it into the USB port on my PC. However the PC does not recognize the device when I go into "my computer" - it simply isn't there. But when I click on "devices & printers" in the control panel, it shows up alongside my PC itself as a "mass storage device." So how do I actually access the device to format it (or even stor data on it), if it does not show up in the "my computer" section as drive E or whatever....? It says the device is working properly in control panel, but I just cannot get at it...! Any help would be appreciated please. Thanks! Richard:confused1:

Not heard of that one Dave - is that local to you? On the radio I have Absolute or Planet Rock (DAB in the cars is just great!!).... ....otherwise plenty of classic rock on the SD card or CD player; Dio, Whitesnake, Zepplin, Rush, Queen, Pink Floyd, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, Skid Row...... I saw him at JAE '10 - IIRC he had an MR2 back then...... ....but then he changes cars like normal folks change their pants so he's probably had about 345 different motors since then!!! Richard:cool2:

I know what you mean Jane - it's just the internet. I remember someone posting these words on here a long time ago..... "....if I could make a tool to stab people in the eye over the internet I would make a fortune...." Jim - that's a valid question mate. Put simply, this was one event in which a member personally attacked a moderator in the open forums. We have a kind of "system" whereby we issue infractions (a bit like yellow cards) and short term bans depending on the severity of the "offence" in question. Any total ban (except for spam-bots) needs the comittee's majority vote; total bans are only handed out in extreme circumstances when that member has already received warnings, infractions and short-term bans in the past - yet they still persist in their inflamatory behaviour. That's the basic explanation - hope it helps.... Richard:cool2:
