  1. Don't I know it...... .....Definitely aim to get there early mate!! The whole area can get snarled up very quickly once people wake up and make their way to Castle Coombe. Richard:thumbup1:
  2. I hate football so I don't care.....:tt2: Although just like any succesful organisation, the first man appointed will probably not make it as he'll have a tough act to follow; and will for ever be compared to his predecessor. Especially when things don't go to plan..... ......The second person in the job is more likely to fair better.... Richard:ninja:
  3. LOL - indeed matey!! Hell, I didn't want to go there with that - but you just did it....... You're still welcome to enter the club though; we'll not judge you.....
  4. Sounds nonsense to me matey.... ......Astra runs regular style shock/springs like most cars (McPherson sturts etc); and like many vehicles, there are aftermarket lowering springs available to fit to the stock shocks!! Hell you don't need shorter travel shocks as the weight of the vehicle surely means that the shocks don't over-travel....!! Just my thoughts - but really; if aftermarket springs don't work, why are many thousands of sets a year sold and installed in virtually every type of car without MOT issues? Richard:yinyang:
  5. Exactly - what he said mate..... .....Quack Fart only refill newer cars with R143. So if your ZX is running the old R12 (like most of us) then you either need the drop-in replacement or get a specialist who knows their stuff to fill with R12 (or equivalent). I recommend searching locally for such a specialist; or asking JeffTT which sub-contractor he uses. Richard:thumbup1:
  6. Welcome to the club my friend - and congrats on your new purchase!! Please do get some pics up as well...... .....Oh and one final thing; your username mate! What is it with the sheep.... Richard:biggrin:
  7. Welcome back my friend - and your ZX is looking better than ever!!! Great colour choice too by the way....!! Richard:thumbup:
  8. After a nice blast out to Stourhead yesterday, I thought a little clean and wax was on the cards..... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?169515-Nice-clean-and-shiney-300zx Richard:biggrin:
  9. Sure is Dean...... But there are millions of folk who actually believe it. And they are called...... .....Americans!!! Richard:biggrin:
  10. Nice one Ian - and yes I did spot it mate!! 3rd row from the bottom - about 60% to the right....... Richard:biggrin:
  11. I have no ticket this year either - but depending on the weather (and other factors) I might pop along just for a view..... If I can that is..... Richard:thumbup1:
  12. I'm not sure where exactly, but I spotted a green and black 300zx on the A338 in Wiltshire on Sunday May 5th at around 2-ish in the afternoon.... ......You were coming the other way at a mini-roundabout; we both flashed our lights and waved - I was in the blue ZX heading north towards Marlborough/Hungerford.... Richard:thumbup1:
  13. Thanks for your support Bazza - and you too Cyberbean..... ......if you do it by PayPal, then you automatically go green once more!! Richard:thumbup:
  14. Yup - happy Star Wars day to everybody.....:tt2:
  15. D'oh - that's a real bummer Ian....
  16. I shall be driving mine tomorrow - we have a trip to Wiltshire planned...... .....and no, I do not smoke either. And for the record, neither does my ZX:wink: Richard:biggrin:
  17. Many happy returns Craig...... Richard:thumbup:
  18. Looking fantastic Mark - keep it up mate; it should be amazing when you've finished!! Richard:thumbup:
  19. As Dave says, about £200-£300 for 2nd hand coilovers mate..... Thing is, no-one buying knows how good (or bad) they actually are - and given the labour cost of replacing the shocks (for the non-DIY mechanic) all round plus the wheel allignment, who's willing to take the risk? You could hold out for more; but when a new set of Meister Rs can be had for about £600, I know what I'd do. Richard:)
  20. I get you.....
  21. Depends on how abrasive you want the compound mate..... .....for light swirls I'd use something like Meguairs Ultimate Compound. It's not as harsh as G3 but still gives good results. G3 is superb on deeper scratches though - it's one of the best no doubt! Richard:thumbup1:
  22. Hahahaha... And great work Ian and Mark; whatever it was you guys did.... Richard:thumbup:
  23. That's bloody handy Ian - and good luck mate; I hope the fooker gets what's due to him. Richard:ninja:
  24. Happy birthday John - have a great day mate! Richard:clap:
  25. Many happy returns mate! Richard:thumbup1:
