  1. Gary is right - we are officially known as the "300zx.co.uk CLUB" already so what exactly do we need to change? Adding "club" to the web address just makes for more typing, when "300zx.co.uk" says it all. We do welcome suggestions from our members though; it's you guys that make "the club" so as Gary says, it's one for us committee to ponder over. But our priority is to ensure that this club is does its best for all our members and continues to promote interest in the 300zx (z32); we'll always endeavour to do that anyway, so what's in a name!! 2. Happy birthday Chris - I hope all's well with you mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  3. Many happy returns Mark!! Richard:thumbup1:
  4. Hey Anna, agreed, £90 is not necessarily expensive - but it is, for what it is; if you catch my drift!!! And for the record, I have replaced my own one twice now!!! Richard:shaun:
  5. Very true Dave - it brings out the worst in people sometimes...... .....Ian, the only way to be sure which way up you are in space is when the shit starts coming out of your collar and into your face!!! A bit like politics, in a funny way....
  6. LOL - 41 minutes from your previous post..... Give us a chance to read and digest it mate!!! Yes - only the thread starter and mods/committee can see who has viewed a thread..... .....And believe me, it's a good one!! As Gary says, "we're working on it" but we can only really progress things with input and feedback from the members. Just like this thread - so keep it coming guys..... Richard:biggrin:
  7. Heh heh - nice one Mike!! Your ZX is looking dead good by the way mate....!! Richard:biggrin:
  8. Hi Darren, welcome to the forum mate - and I also look forward to pics of your ZX!! Good luck with your new purchase mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  9. Fooking brilliant - and how right the makers (probably) were *..... Richard:lol: * disclaimer - just me having a laugh; not the view of the forum, its owners or administrators!!!
  10. Many happy returns fella.... Richard:thumbup:
  11. I think my committee colleagues have summed it up perfectly there! The Twinz products are, and we're all in agreement, excellent; and we'd have loved for a UK distributor to make them available to us all at a reasonable cost/delivery time. But to date, no-one in the UK has successfully taken it on. JeffTT is not the only outlet to have failed to strike the right deal here either, is he.....? Twinchip in Germany is making it a more successful venture as (I assume) they are dealing with the whole European ZX scene and not just the UK. Richard:thumbup1:
  12. RIP Lady Thatcher - IMO she was one of the greatest Prime Ministers this country had. My personal opinion that is BTW - and I fully appreciate that this was always going to be a controversial subject. But the fact remains that whilst Lady Thatcher was unpopular in certain areas, she STILL won 3 general elections outright and was the longest serving PM of the 20th Century. That certainly counts for something - and goes to show that politics still divides the country. And as for selling off our assets to foreign investors - that was not down to Lady T or her administration; back in her day, her government just privatised those state owned industries and British investors bought the shares. It was only in subsequent years - after Blair's government got in - that foreign investors bought up those companies. I know - I bought shares in the newly privatised companies back in the 1980s. Funny how some of those posting in this thread aren't actually old enough to have "been there" first hand, eh...? But as said - personal opinion; we all have our own political views and should not seek to ram them down the throats of others. Dead right Brian - and I for one am considering said person's future on this forum. It was a vile and uncalled for response only intended to inflame; and I can see no previous positive contribution to the forum from this individual. Like or Loath her, a former leader of the country has passed away and should not be subjected to such a vitriolic public outburst; followed by outright abuse towards the forum administrators for doing their job. Richard
  13. Richard:rofl:
  14. You're welcome mate!!
  15. It was indeed mate; hope you enjoyed yours as well.... And you know what, coincidentally no-one passed me either!!! Richard:biggrin:
  16. Hey Bri, The UK spec corners do have 2 chambers, but they are just dummies so you'll have to cut the holes for both side and indicator bulb holders. Your best bet is to buy US spec corners as they already have the holes for both indicators and side lights. You just pop the indicator holders into the right holes; and then drag your side light wires across to the new location. You might have to aquire new holders and splice the wires together though. Richard:thumbup1:
  17. Nice one Gaz - glad you have got it taxed and on the road again mate!! We took mine on a 200 mile round trip down to Bath today...... It felt good on a nice empty M4 in the cold morning air earlier today. And on the way home, I took the scenic route back along the A4 - that was a decent drive - it was mostly empty but the ZX despatched the odd Sunday dawdler as if they were standing still!!! Richard:thumbup:
  18. Sounds like the classic old OEM sender unit failing..... .....you'll know if the oil pressure is crap; just slowly raise the engine RPM to about 2500 and listen. If is sounds fit and healty with no bangs or rattles, all is good. If it bangs and rattles like a bag of spanners, the pressure is low and your engine is goosed!! Richard:thumbup1:
  19. Agreed - don't forget he also has your number Alan....!! Best ignore it, let it pass and don't worry about it..... Until it's you who gets pestered for gay sex following an advert someone else placed on a gent's toilet wall......!! Richard:yinyang:
  20. I have been with Orange since 1994 and have not really had any issues with them.... ......but Vodafone (with whom the company account is with) are fooking awful...!!! And their stupid fooking Star Wars adverts and the dude who ends every commercial with "Power to you" really wind me up....!!! But back to your problem Del, if you paid by DD, then as well as waiting for Orange to refund you - or at the very least return your calls - contact your bank. There is something called the Direct Debit Guarantee scheme... http://www.bacs.co.uk/Bacs/Businesses/DirectDebit/Collecting/Pages/CustomersRights.aspx Get your bank on the case mate - you'll soon get your money back! Richard:thumbup1:
  21. Jolly good Anna - as for your oil pressure, it's 99.9% likely to be the sender unit that has gone bad! Unless of course you have an aftermarket one and your engine sounds like a bag of spanners...LOL The sender unit is a common failure; pressure reads fine on start up, but when completely up to temperature on a long run, the stock gauge reading drops to very low or even zero. Sounds like what yours is doing? Thing is, the OEM sender unit is expensive - about £90 - so you either bite the bullet and replace it; fit an aftermarket oil pressure gauge/sender, or just live with it... Richard:ninja: PS glad to hear you beat the Mazda - if you hadn't, I'd have had to ban you from here for good....LOL
  22. My suggestion - waterpump. I had the same thing last summer; the car would lose coolant with the engine off after even the shortest drive. Then when I re-filled the radiator, coolant would just drip out from the front of the engine like a tap - the undertray re-directs the flow further back though; hence the puddle on my garage floor was about 6 inches behind where it was actually dripping from! Luckily I was able to make it 100 miles to Jeff's, without too much coolant loss, so he could fix it for me. As said, it was worse when the engine was off. Richard:oops:
  23. Wow - that was fast Terry.... ....And good luck with the re-shell mate (that is what you're doing, isn't it).... Richard:thumbup:
  24. Welcome Anna - and I'm glad I'm not the first to have (ahem) noticed your avatar..... .....That's a lovely looking ZX you have BTW - although the exhaust looks a bit, well, small. Are you sure it's right for the car....?? Richard:biggrin:
  25. Welcome back Sky - and good luck with your new purchase mate!! I look forward to the pics.... Richard:thumbup:
