funny noise,
If it is your a/c compressor, turn off the a/c and the noise should go away - that happened to my Zed after I first had it regassed. One replaceent compressor fitted by Jeff (and another re-gas) and it stopped making the noise.... Richard:chef:

Anyone at Zedworld tomorrow....?
No worries mate - and they will be sorted at Jeff's hand!! They are pretty minor bits really - the a/c regas is probably the biggest issue; my central locking intermittantly fails to opreate the passenger door and I need my new oil pressure sender unit fitting. Oh and the electric cooling fan does not come on and I may have warped my front brake discs.... Richard:oops:

Show us your dogs
No dogs here either - no pets in fact....... ...............but I am still more of a cat person myself; Sorry to see Buell only has 3 legs, but a fine animal nonetheless. Richard:chef:

Custom Bumper
Fabricating one yourself will be expensive mate - so if you can't get a "smart repair" done, then replace the whole thing. Contact CarMad for his replica 99-spec - or find someone to use your existing one as a mold to make a fibre glass replica. Although personally, I'd always go polyurethene as it's more flexible. Richard:chef:

Brake discs
Mine too.... ...Rear discs on a Z32 are a slightly larger diameter to the fronts; and they are vented also. Both for NA and TT - rears are, as said, the same for both cars.... Richard:chef:

Banzai Magazine

Just bought a 300zx and have a few questions!
True - at least with UK spec cars..... Some say J-spec cars need super unleaded, but many have said that the ECU adapts to normal unleaded anyway. I have a UK spec and run normal unleaded - although I do find that in extremely hot weather (28 degrees plus) the car responds better on super. And welcome to the club Owen!! Richard:chef:

Timing belt
Yup - what Graham said..... .....It's recommended to change the belt at 60k miles or 5 years. But to be honest, if you've only covered 9k miles in 4 years, then I'd chance it a bit longer! My first ZX had covered just over 60k (genuine) miles when I bought it - and it was still on its first belt at 12 years old!! Richard:chef:

Nw200
Does indeed..... .....I have never visited Ireland - but I have seen a few pics from the MB club's coastal tours over there; and I'm thinking it looks like a plan also..... ....but in the ZX of course! Richard:thumbup:

Confused
Heh heh..... Seriously though mate, it does sound like you probably don't actually have a problem with your car. More likely it is the oil being thrown around by the inertia of blatting round the track - especially if it has stopped smoking now. I'd leave it for a bit; keep driving it as normal and watch the smoke/oil level. If you have no further issues after a month or two, you know there's nothing wrong! Richard:chef:

car show pics
Great pics mate; looks like a good show..... Thanks for sharing them:thumbup: Also I liked the artistic shots of the Greenham Common base itself - it evokes memories of the 1980s.... Richard:cool3:
