I thought all Main Beam headlights are H1?
LOL - should have read further..... .....it looks like someone has modified your main beams to H4 fitment... Richard:sweatdrop:

I thought all Main Beam headlights are H1?
Ignore what each and every guide says mate - they all get it wrong!! Main beam on a Z32 is H1, no messing!! Dipped is H3 on a UK spec and H3C on a J-spec - although the basic pattern of both is the same, the difference is the earth wire on the UK spec H3. Richard:cool2:

Oil Recomendations
Heh heh..... I still use the Helix Ultra 0w30 (fooking expensive at £17.99 a litre) to top up the SLK. Although I've never noticed how it smells, Noel:lol:

Oil Recomendations
Not sure about less prone to losong oil - but a "50" grade will withstand thermal breakdown better under high temperatures (ie stay in grade better) as it is of a thicker viscocity. It would also cause more resistance, being thicker (as I understand it) so unless your engine is tuned for racing, and you do race, then stick with Nissan's recommendations of 10w40 or 5w40. A decent semi-synth like Castrol Magnatec 10w40 is more than adequate for a stock-ish TT in normal use. Although progress in oil formulation since 1990 means that a decent 5w40 fully synth (eg Shell Helix Ultra - one I have regularly used) is a worthwhile, albeit not always necessary, upgrade. If you change the oil at 4500 miles then a fully synth is probably a waste - but a fully synth will be better if you extend oil change intervals..... I always used Helix Ultra with annual changes (5k miles); but this time I switched to Magnatec and have experienced no problems. In fact I have actually noticed a reasonable increase in fuel mileage..... Why? who knows (or cares for that matter...LOL) Richard:cool2:

Different take on Z interior
Agreed..... .....if I was out to build a special ZX, I'd certainly pay Mondo that for the interior....!!! Richard:sorcerer:

Different take on Z interior
Me too - the steering wheel and the wood don't do it for me either; but I do like everything else. And re the wood, it is just that horrid grain I don't care for. If done in a different, more subtle, grain and colour it would actually look good. I like the high-end luxury look as it emulates a modern upmarket GT car - like the Jag XK8 or Merc CL.... Richard:cool2:

Been a bit busy the last few weeks.....
Congratulations to you both Dave - I wish you all the best for the future!! And it's certainly great to see you back with us mate, even for the odd fleeting visit. Don't be a stranger my friend.... Richard:thumbup:

Artztogo (Chris) -vs- Fleetwood Mac

Earthquake
Only joking Dave - I know you're not Welsh mate......

international postage with ebay
I agree with Dave there...... ......LOL, and with Bri also... IMO, it's too much of a risk. Stick with a UK buyer or have the overseas buyer collect on a "no refund" basis. Richard:cool2:

Anndd it's dead
Are you mate - whereabouts? I'm in Great Missenden, it'd be good to know of another local ZX owner.......!! Heh heh - we all know mate. Someone called "Big Dave" wrote it on the wall of the gents at last year's JAE....

Earthquake
LOL...... Richard:rofl:

Different timing belts
ALWAYS go with the OEM belt..... It's simply not worth the risk; plus there really is not much difference in cost to justify not sticking with the Nissan one..... ......And there's your answer; dead right Mikey!! And Nissan has also moved with the times regarding rubber quality improvements etc - so it's daft not buying OEM. Richard:cool2:

Found this place...
Sorry fellas, link removed - this chap previously had his "for sale" threads removed from here as he was "back-door" trading whilst not authorised; which the committee felt was not in the interests of our paid-up subscribed traders at the time. If the person in question would like to discuss the possibility of trading on the forums, he can contact us directly! Thread now closed - any problems please PM me or Groover. Thanks. Richard

first one i've seen!
I thought Smithy's product too - it's a great addition to a ZX and really enhances the underbonnet view. If you are into that:wink: Richard:cool2:
