What do you guys think of this!!!
A lot of work has gone into that - and it looks a good job too; but it does not quite do it for me.... ....If you are going to have a flared rear, then I prefer the full wide-arse look as opposed to just extending over the wheel arches. Richard:cool:

"Do we own a supercar" etc.
It's always nice when things like that happen..... On our trip out last Sunday, I stopped to refuel at the Shell garage in Epping and one of the staff on duty came over to admire the ZX - he even did the filling duties for me. All the time talking about how nice the car was!!! He was surprised to learn it was a Nissan; and did not believe me until he saw the little Nissan logo on the lower left corner of the rear window:biggrin: Whilst I've not been to Epping for a while, it still seems to be a very nice and affluent town; so super cars would not be an uncommon sight there.... Especially if Rod is in residence:wink: Richard:cool:

"Do we own a supercar" etc.
Heh heh, we have had this debate before........ ....Many years ago!!! My opinion is along the lines of what Paul and Mr Bolt said. When the Z32 was launched it was Nissan's flagship model and could easily hold its own against the Porsche 928GT, Merc SL500, Jag XJ-S and Ferrari 348. Whilst the Z32 was billed as "Japan's first supercar" it was not really in the supercar league when compared to the likes of the Diablo, F40, Porsche 959 or (by 1992) the XJ220 and Mac F1. Although the term "Hypercar" had not been coined in those days - which would have been a more accurate description of the aforementioned exotica; much as we'd class things like the Veyron today..... ....So I'd have used the phrase "Junior supercar" to describe the Z32 back then; and I reckon the term is still fitting today:wink:

99 spec lights
Heh heh at the above..... But seriously; if you do want any new OEM Nissan parts your best bet is ALWAYS Mike at MJP. Yes, proper 99-spec rear lights are not cheap - but if you require the nicest looking rear end for your 300zx, it's definitely worth it. Or else wait until someone sells a 2nd hand set... But good luck with that option:wink: Richard:cool:

Mass produced cars that are now rare
Yup - I'd agree with that.... Cars like the Mk1 and Mk2 Escort RS models were w@nkers cars back in the 1980s; but they are retro-cool now!! Just like the Capri... And as for mass produced cars which are so scarce now, how about some of the early Datsuns like the 180b; 1970s Renaults like the Renault 4; Ian has already mentioned the Yugo - but what about the Fiat 127 upon which it was based? They have probably nearly all rusted away now!!! I haven't seen a Wartburg since about 1979. Nor a Skoda Estelle or any Lada for that matter! I have only seen 1970s Hillman Hunters and Minxs at classic car shows; never on the road. And what of the Talbots which replaced Hillmans in the 1980s - eg the Alpine saloon along with the Solara, Horizon and Sunbeam (not the collectable Lotus version though; they're still around)....? Richard:yes:
