Ahh, maybe my friend - but that's American BHP; which is about 102 of our "normal" BHPs.....

Crazy drivers
Sorry to hear that Lou:sad: Agreed and agreed.... same thing almost happened to me yesterday morning outside one village school - one school-run mum swerved onto my side of the road to go round....... ......another brain-dead school-run mum who had parked ON TOP of the big yellow road markings which read "NO PARKING!!!" Fortunately I was only doing about 15mph and so was she, so we both stopped facing each other; yet still the bint had the nerve to point at the kerb on my left expecting me to mount it!!!! I'm not damaging my AMG wheels for anyone so I politely (ahem:rolleyes:) told the pair of witless minge-pieces exactly what they could do; and exactly who was going to move. And it wasn't me, I just switched off my engine in the middle of the road and sat there until the second bint reversed back..... I hope it's not too expensive a repair mate - you didn't happen to get her reg number, did you? I managed to take down both reg numbers from yesterday - and since I had a spare 1/2 hour in the afternoon, I went into the school office to report them, for what it's worth. Made me feel a bit vindicated:wink: Hope they name and shame... Richard:wacko:

Rear led update
Now that is one rear light upgrade that I like.... Richard:cool:

Not at all Alex - some engine transplants are worthwhile..... As a petrol head with a hankering for a V8, my first choice would be the VH45DE. Followed by the VQ35HR (the DE and the VQ30DET are probably not much of an upgrade when stock) as the HR produces 306bhp+ in standard form in the later 350z. I'd rule out the LS1 as I'd prefer to keep the Nissan heritage; and the RB is but a mere straight-6.... For me I'd want to remain a little pure and retain the V-formation; whether a 6 or an 8  Richard:cool:

Hi, new to the 300 scene
Welcome to the club Dan..... .....And my basic advice is, decide whether you want the twin turbo or the NA. And then forget about other variants like SWB/LWB/manual/auto and just buy the best condition 300zx you can find!!! You will get plenty of help and advice on here - and if you find a ZX miles away from where you are, let us know as there's always someone local-ish to it who will either take a look for you or meet you to check it out with you. There are often a few well-looked after members' cars for sale on here, which is always your best bet first.... Good luck in your hunt, Richard:cool:

Hello
Hi Ash; welcome to the club mate - and thanks for your support in subbing so soon.... Yup - and petrol filler cap aside, if you have back seats then it's a LWB:wink: Looks a tidy example though - good luck with your new toy! Richard:cool:

300ZX Pricing - look at Zs - maybe? Hopefully?
Cheers Gaz - it was a similar story to me. I looked at a few Mk4 Supras when replacing the black Mk3; that and the Porsche 928 s4; but when I drove a 300zx I was sold on it..... I still love the 928 though and, if I had the garage space for a 3rd car, I would have one in there like a shot!!! And back on topic, it would really be something if the Z32 could achieve even close to the classic status the 928 seems to be enjoying right now. Although as stated at the start of this thread, there is still hope....:clover: Richard:thumbup:

300ZX Pricing - look at Zs - maybe? Hopefully?
Quite possibly Steve - the Starion came out in the early to mid-1980s, so they were more contemporary rivals (although the Mk2 RX7 was probably more likely - don't forget the latest incarnation of the RX7 was the Mk3 of the early 1990s). I still liked them though - and would certainly have had one in the day. Richard:cool:

T-bar is better Dave..... With the aero-top off, body-flex on our roads was bloody awful mate. At least having the T-bar on our Zeds gives the body rigidity, even with the targas off Richard:cool:

300ZX Pricing - look at Zs - maybe? Hopefully?
Here you go - I know I'd find them somewhere..... ....Along with the feature of my 2nd Mk3 Supra in the May 2003 edition of the Toyota Enthusiast's Club Magazine. Enjoy!! Richard:cool2:

300ZX Pricing - look at Zs - maybe? Hopefully?
Agreed - they were selling for peanuts a year or two ago........ .....Yup; as great a car as the Mk4 Supra was, I will always prefer the Mk3 for its Knightrider cool good looks..... And I actually had two before my first ZX; first was a UK spec turbo in white with some nice Borbet alloys - and second was a J-spec 3.0 turbo GT targa version, with digital dash, in black for the proper "KITT" look... I'll have to scan some pictures, as I did not possess a digital camera in those days!!
