  1. Welcome back mate - and good luck with getting your car sorted once again.... Richard:clover:
  2. Yup - MJP is the best place for sure. Always use OEM Nissan timing belt and associated other items...
  3. Many happy returns Noel... Richard:happybday:
  4. The light and aerial failing could be an unrelated coincidence.... But regarding the aerial, it might the plastic reel inside it has broken; when you turn the radio on and off, does the aerial motor still sound like it's functioning? Sometimes they just seize with dirt and grime etc - spray the mast with WD40 and manually move it up and down (in conjunction with turning the radio on and off, to avoid breaking it by force:wink:). If not, then it could be the connection has been interrupted; a loos wire or blown fuse. Or it could be the relay module which has failed - it's a white-opaque box the size of a cigarette pack, just inside the right hand boot trip panel. Good luck in fixing it mate, Richard:cool:
  5. As said on your other thread - congratulations Chris.... It does indeed sound like a good buy; I look forward to the pics mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  6. Not the case Steve...... not the case at all mate. And whilst I am appreciative of all members' input, you have seen the response I got in trying to organise a simple local meet. Rest assured that we will put in every effort to stage a successful 25th anniversary celebration, such efforts also need the support of the members by way of their attendance to make it a success. Richard:wink:
  7. No worries mate... I used to live in Chalfont St Peter myself - overlooking Gold Hill Common, if you happened to be in that vicinity!! And you're right, it is a bit of a trek from Cardiff for an impromptu short visit!! Richard:balloon:
  8. PMSL - but we cannot publish them on a public web forum Si.... But yes, back to the plot, it is a real shame as it would have been good to get something going for Christmas - especially with the additional original enthusiasm from other regions such as yours...
  9. I may be interested too Mark - that would keep my ZX cosy in the garage... Also, can you get them for other cars as part of the GB? If so, price dependent of course, I'd consider one for the DD - it's a 2009 Merc SLK.... Richard:cool:
  10. LOL - but sadly it looks that way Si..... Some regions (like this one) just cannot seem to generate much interest on their own. I could have pushed it a bit harder myself, perhaps, but I have not really had the time; and seeing as only 4 of us actually responded to the date poll; I did lose a bit of enthusiasm for making more effort. Sorry guys - I don't like to let folks down........ Richard:flowers:
  11. Hi Rich, shame I didn't know - we could have met up mate!! And yes, it's not too shabby here in The Chilterns.... Richard:cool:
  12. Many happy returns old chap - have a great day mate! Richard:happybday:
  13. Eeeeeh, them were t'days..... Nostalgia just isn't as good as I remember it.....
  14. Agreed gaz - see my comment above matey....:shifty::biggrin:
  15. That's the one fellas....... It could have been an NA in Pete Shrimp's video - but in UK road tests the 3000gt was eclipsed by the 300zx (naturally, both UK spec TT cars) in pretty much every speed range; 0-60, 0-100, 30-70 (all mph) and standing quarter. In fact in the 0-100 sprint, the UK spec 3000gt could not break 16 seconds..... Which is why I did not buy one back in 2003, as my old Mk3 Supra could have matched the 3000gt!!! Richard:wink:
  16. Bloody hell - this one resurrects itself every 3-4 years....... Hell, I'm going to change the rules so that no threads older than 6 months can be dug up.....:shifty: Richard:wink:
  17. Exactly what Pete said..... The registration letter and actual year of first use are a "grey" area on many J-spec cars.....
  18. There was an old vid of someone here (in an auto TT) racing a GTO at the Pod - and trouncing it..... ....I forget his name now (it was a while ago) but he used to sell the grounding kits. Pete something-or-other maybe?? Richard:biggrin:
  19. Cheers Gaz - and it was a thorough drive too; some fast A-road overtaking, a 3 mile motorway traffic jam, some town driving and a good hard motorway blast when the traffic (and fog) cleared  All was well and the Z was back to its old self once again
  20. Took it on a little 100-or-so mile round trip, now that my PTU issue is resolved...... .....I have to say, the car felt a whole lot better; the engine seemed smoother and more responsive..... It's good to have it back again:thumbup: Richard:dance:
  21. PMSL...... But be careful what you wish for Dave; else Allan may post a few from his private collection just for you mate......:w00t:
  22. Yup - I remember it well...... And then the GTO started to smoke like an old steam engine after trying to keep up....
  23. Hmmmmm - interesting....:cool::shifty:
  24. Ahem - what he said.....
