NEC 2023 - a big thank you......
Here we are at the end of the 2023 show "season" and the club has once again completed another successful display at the NEC Classic Motor Show over the weekend. On behalf of the club and committee, I would like to thank Andrew, Ian, Joel and Tom for exhibiting their cars - and for manning the stand all weekend. Thanks too, to Lee (the committee's very own JaiKai) for coming down from Troon to man the stand as well. And a very special thanks to Ian, not just for exhibiting his blue convertible, but for providing (again) the stand structure, carpets, lighting etc., that made our display stand out from the crowds in hall 4. Thank you all very much, gentlemen, your time and efforts for the club this weekend are very much appreciated.....!! And last, but not least, thank you to all members, past and present, who visited us. I'll start a separate thread for sharing our photos.... 😉

Here we are, once again, at the NEC for the 2023 Classic Motor Show. Ian and Tom did a great job yesterday evening, setting up our stand ready for today. And then Joel and Andrew arrived in their Zeds this morning, to make the full set of four - a nice balanced two red and two blue display. Thanks guys - you're doing the club proud.... Please do come along to visit us - here's a little taster from set-up day today - the show runs from Friday to Sunday; details here: NEC 2023 Classic Motor Show - members discount code - General Discussions - 300ZX Related - 300ZX Owners Club (300zx-owners.club)- What did you do to your zed today?
Nice work Joel....!!!- RIP Matthew Perry
A sad loss to the world of entertainment - and at only 54 too.... 😞 RIP Matthew.- What did you do to your zed today?
Today, I finally got around to re-fitting my steering wheel on straight.... 😄 When I fitted the new one, I managed to install it one spline to the right-of-centre. I couldn't get the damn thing off again and it has bugged me ever since LOL So the other week, I purchased a 2-legged hub-puller, but that didn't work - I risked bending the 'wheel out of shape 😪 I then bought a proper harmonic balancer kit, it was only £15 on Ebay, and it popped the 'wheel off in no time!! Naturally I had to take the Zed for a little spin, just to make sure the steering wheel was properly fitted this time 😉 Luckily I got home before the rain started...... So, if anyone wants a cheap 2-legged hub puller (see pic), I've put it on Ebay for £5.95 plus p&p🤣- Check out number 5.....
Almost certainly a re-post, but hey, why not share it again..... ;-) 17 cracking twin-turbo classic cars (msn.com) It's our very own Gary (GSC)'s car 🤩- NEC Classic Car Show 2023

Yup - what Andrew said..... 😉- Happy birthday CBR
Many happy returns mate!!- 1993 TT LWB in Black
I was going to say the exact same thing....!! Whilst the tanks are generally strong and thick, rusty straps and the occasional stony road grime can get under them - and cause them to wear a hole in the tank. I had to replace the fuel tanks in both my first red Zed and my current blue one, due to that. The straps acted like a coarse file, rubbing through the tank!!- What did you do to your zed today?
Nice one Rob - and love the horsey smelling comment 😄- 30 V6 classic car greats
Great article...!- Tight parking....!!!!
I have a little bit more room for the Zed though - it's nowhere near as wide as the z4 Plus I don't need another excuse to share some shiny Zed pics 😄- Tight parking....!!!!
Yup - although my house was built in 1978, they still probably worked to the same sizing! I still have plenty of room on the right though, I just squeeze up tightly on the left, so I can open the driver's door - and so that I can walk past, or get the mower out, without scratching the car 😉- Tight parking....!!!!
I have been using my Zed all week, so last weekend, I washed the BMW and squeezed it into my garage. It's a little bit wider than the Zed, but I have become quite adept at tucking it in tightly - although I have to switch off the park assist, as the damn thing keeps hitting the brakes 😄 Gonna be fun getting it out LOL!!- What did you do to your zed today?
Nothing today (yet....), but yesterday, I did the Sainsbury's run first thing - then filled with petrol so I could have a little drive in the cool dense autumnal morning air...... 😉 Then when I got home, I gave it a nice wash and wipe down with Auto Finesse Glisten...😎 Shiny McShine 😄- What did you do to your zed today?
We decided to take the Zed on a little trip around The Chilterns this morning...... 🙂- A little drive in The Chilterns today
Then called in at Cheinies Manor for a photoshoot........ .........And got home before the rain started.... 😉 - NEC 2023 setting up....
