  1. Yes and yes...... .....As per my post in your welcome thread....
  2. Hi and welcome Tony!! As said, great to see a UK-spec car with just 10k miles; that will certainly be a keeper mate, so congratulations on your new acquisition... And with a car so special, you'd certainly be wise to avoid over-modifying; a Zed like that will be worth a lot in the years to come, as these cars get more rare!! You're not a million miles from me either - Reading is about 30 minutes away... ......And if your Zed needs some specialist care, then Jimmer is about 45 minutes west of you, along the M4.....
  3. Hi and welcome Scott!! That does look a tidy example - and from my recollection, it has been on sale for some time now; so it most likely will be available at the weekend... ....And it's always good to take someone along who knows these cars, so that's a great offer from Simon there! Fine club spirit mate.... Richard:thumbup:
  4. Hi and welcome David! As said above, we are predominantly dedicated to the Z32 variant; however we certainly appreciate the entire Z-heritage line so welcome all owners. Even if the other genres are not our specialty! However, as Jeff says, the Zclub caters for every Z-car so whilst we may have the odd Z31 owner in our membership list, you might find the Zclub of more use.... Richard:thumbup:
  5. Well deserved, considering it sat still for the last 3 days....:cool:
  6. Seconded - he visited our stand and it certainly would be good for us to attend this show. On behalf of the committee, I am happy to say that the club would indeed support Niss-Show 2018 - providing we get enough support from the members!!
  7. That's it in a nut-shell really..... We didn't get handed a small stand - we actually were not even in the running this year!! After I heard the news in June that our application was unsuccessful, I remained in contact with Alison a little longer, but sadly she had no good news for us. And then in September, Alison phoned me, whilst I was on holiday (so I nearly never took the call), to say that they had made a few changes and could now offer us a stand big enough for two cars. Naturally I accepted the offer - I knew we'd be able to field two cars - but I figured that if I had turned it down, it may not do the club any favours in future years. Not to mention that, with the growing interest in modern classic cars and Japanese sports cars, any presence at a major show like this, would continue to raise the profile of both car and club! So as Gary says, the glass is still half full. We maintained our presence on the world stage - and being there for most of Sunday, I am pleased to say that or stand generated great interest. Not just from Ian Seabrook (of Retro Japanese Magazine) and Nathan Chadwick (Modern Classics); but from potential new members, some of whom already own a Z32, others currently looking - along with a few folk who owned one when they were new, yet still thought of the car with fond memories. Small stand maybe - but in view of what Craig and Joel achieved in terms of the display, despite having only two cars, it was IMO our best all-round effort to date. And I'd rather we had a small stand, than not been there at all. Onwards and upwards - if you catch my drift.... Which just leaves me to say, a very big 300zx Owners' Club thank-you to Craig, Joel, IanL; and all our members who made the effort to visit us........ Here's to 2018:thumbup:
  8. Good to meet you and your family too Steve; hope you enjoyed the show mate! Richard:cool:
  9. Yes indeed - a very big thank you again Joel; not just for offering your car for display, but for manning the stand for the duration..... You and your car are real credit to the club; you did us proud mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  10. Good to meet you as well Steve! Richard:cool:
  11. Ouch - sorry to hear that Ian - I hope you get it sorted mate... I too second Joel's comments; on behalf of the club, thank you so much for giving up your time to help man the stand; it's certainly appreciated Ian! All the best, Richard:thumbup:
  12. Very nice - I think I may have the same one....
  13. LOL - it was probably a long day..... Just waiting for Julia to get home then it's back up to Birmingham, ready for tomorrow.
  14. Great pics Jeff - thanks for sharing......
  15. Lest we forget indeed - thank you for posting this Gary....

Certainly worth looking into it for 2018, I reckon.... .....In fact, there are a few smaller shows that we should think about exhibiting at next year. On my travels this summer I (ahem) accidentally stumbled on a couple of classic car shows that would have been ideal. They were at prominent tourist attractions, so there was something for everyone - attendees could bring wives and families along too.
  20. Initially, I thought they had popped a "1" in front of the price in error...... .....So I clicked on their actual website; as opposed to the E-bay ad. And what do you know, it IS £184,995......!!! http://www.4starclassics.com/nissan-r34-gtr-v-spec-ii-nur-nismo-r-tune-for-sale/
  21. Perfect, Joel..... Just perfect mate..... You'll do us proud at the NEC for sure. See you tomorrow!!!!
  22. I think they were standard on the US spec mate..... ......As you say, UK/EU spec have blank corners; and J-spec only have indicators in the corner lights. Your best option - other than importing from the USA - is to drill out the little blank lights in a J-spec so you can retro fit a side light in there.
  23. Looking good guys - I shall see you tomorrow.... I reckon you've deserved a beer or two this evening  And nice one Craig - stepping in at the 11th hour to save the day....
  24. Happy birthday for yesterday Steve - hope you had a great day mate! Richard:cool:
