  1. It was an upgrade for Europe, but not us. It was mainly zeds supplied to Germany cos it was believed that with them having the unlimited autobahns, they would need more efficient rads, in that case, why didn't any Manx zeds get em :D edit, doh just re read yer post, me twit! smithy
  2. why's that bud, is that what you paid for some time ago or previous owner said had been done. smithy
  3. Well I just checked me catalogue bud and GTR32 uses 296mm front discs as does the R33 GST-T and the R34 GT, Whereas the R34 GT-T uses 310mm discs. All of those use calipers which at 1st glance look the same and should use the same pads as the Zed Personally I think you have 296mm discs with matching calipers which as i say are barely any different to ours except how far they stick out. As for Ashtone your clearly in the same boat, previous owner has swapped for a set of the above thinking they would be an improvement, which if they are, is minimal really. As for yer rears wanting 3003mm, all those models I mentioned above use 297mm rears, the GTR33/34 uses 300mm rears BUT they would be with GTR rear calipers which have brembo wrote on them. Don't see any listing for bigger than 300mm,soz Hope all that helps a little for you fellas. smithy
  4. Just paint em mate ;) though i would suggest giving them to a body shop for a better more professional finish, imo of course :D cheers smithy
  5. well they deffo ain't GTR 33/34 calipers mate thats for sure. Possibly GTS-T r32 as there is very little difference between them and ours. cheers smithy
  6. Yep if it pleases the skyliners, you know yer on a winner bud ;) JFYI, the kit am working on is 330x34mm 2 piece discs, 6 pot calipers, lines, ceramic pads, brackets/hardware all for a grand hopefully, i'll also possibly be able to offer the next size up disc too for those with big wheels :D cheers smithy
  7. Arr thanks mate ;) It's worth reading the thread on these on the skyline GTR forum, about 3 pages long.... I run the KAD 6 pot 356mm kit myself, costs around £1500 as a complete kit and well happy with it ;) but generally no mate, for the cash it appears alot of goodies, how long the discs last and how good they perform is i think a bit unknown on this ebay one, other than that all the ones i listed earlier are certainly more dosh. Appreaciate yer asking though bud  cheers smithy ps, just found out g4/d2 are made in taiwan, if that amkes a difference...
  8. Trust me mate, i've spent years being associated with Alloy fabricators of rads and coolers, it's ONLY a bargain if it works and thats my point. Stock ones arn't bad cores, crap end tanks yes, in the correct position yes. "IF" this is a poor performing kit and being in the front which can be restrictive to other parts anyways, is 460 quid still a bargain ? smithy
  9. It's not quite as simple as that bud. In respect of some copies, cheaper parts and cheaper manufacturing costs result in poorer performance. Whilst you might think hey it's a cooler and with solid end tanks so it must be better than stock ones, it all comes down to type of cores used, quality of welding and bending can in some cases make pipework more restrictive than OEM. The grade, thickness of alloy, the size of the I/D of the pipe and more importantly the port size, ALL play a part in making a cooler efficient or crap. Bear in mind this is a FMIC kit, of all the types available, this style is THE one that needs to perform better than the rest given it's location. In respect of the altezza kit, £599 is meaga cheap, you wanna guess how much trade is and they still make a profit  and this is all meant to reduce yer intake charge temperatures to preserve yer engine! IMO it's one of those typical products that once fitted you've no idea and a year or so down the line when summit happens, it's all too easy to blame something else internally or bad mapping. Honestly, save up and get some decent SMIC's bud :) smithy
  10. Am there mate, got me name on the other main list. Am actually over the day before and spending most of me time in Cadishead just of the A57 with big Bruv who's having work done on his car. Then it's a night stop in Ashby de la Zouch for both of us before the show. smithy
  11. Depends on how much cash you got, Rotora Stoptech Greddy/Alcon Brembo KAD Endless Smithys :p Am hoping to be offering real soon a complete new kit using 330mm discs and 6 pot calipers from a well known company, just waiting on confirmation and i'll be needing a test pilot too :) cheers smithy

Sounds like you got skyline GTS-t discs which were 296mm, though it really is strecthing it with the stock calipers, so sounds like possible the GTS-t caliper is marginally larger perhaps ?, hmm weird smithy
  17. Am ordering more E/S suspension new graphite bushings next wednesday if thats any use to yer fella. Subrame bushes are £70 delivered for the set. cheers smithy
  18. Ah ha, got yer :) well yer still can if you want, just means fitting the new 300degree fuel rail kit, you don't have to machine the lower plenum for this kit either which is a big bonus. It also combats the problem associated with less fuel on No.6. I've a couple sets on order at the mo for customers, been waiting quite some time but am told not long till the next batch are released, constantly sold out in the US this kit.. cheers smithy
  19. Was the ECU already un beknown to you chipped mate ? woulkd explain it, oh and shame yer wern't the later fuel rails, makes life so much easier and cheaper when choosing injectors :) smithy
  20. I did hear of a 350Z brembo front and rear kit coming up for sale this week bud, i can check to see if it's available for you ? As Mike says, after that it's how big is your pocket, AP do a 4 pot 332mm kit and a 6 pot 355mm kit, Kad do a nice 355mm 6 pot kit too which i use. Greddy or Alcon brakes, both the same and the dogs danglies but it all costs. Oh and of course your wheel type/size can depend on what brakes you get :) smithy
  21. Yes and the only difference over stock that you actually notice is the..... whooooooossssssshhhhhhhhh smithy
  22. This is definately one those subjects in the world of Zeds that has never 100% been proven one way or the other. Rule of thumb has always been as close to TB's as possible for any turbo car BUT not with our car :) look at some top brand jap companies and they do them as a kit for outer pipes, 1 or 2 for the inners, UK companies have used the inners and found problems and then reverted to the outers and hey presto, alls well. Weird stuff, but clearly in stock location if you can and if for the looks too, then the outer pipes seesm to work best :) Carl, theres no known upgrade for the stock re-circs am aware off, besides they operate right upto some fairly high BHP without any probs.. smithy
  23. Someone asked me about accommadation for TT 2007 which is as rare as hens teeth :) forgot who it was, so feel free to PM me again. smithy
  24. Average around 20.1/4% ontop of the cost including shipping costs are calculated. Shipping costs on these is around $70-$90 for air and trust me from experience having shipped over 15 sets in before now, do not undervalue them, they can easily be damaged in transit and if broken you can ONLY claim the amount on the customs form. TBH, if you don't want the centre piece that comes with danny's sets, then Lukes 2 piece one's really are the best option for peace of mind after saving so little and uncertainty buying from the US :) smithy
  25. Too right thats within the 48 states, average cost of air shipping a bumper is around £300 and thats pounds not dollars :) Hmm like the gift idea, until it goes belly up and you can't claim more than 36 quid back ! Just go to Mike feeney bud, costs ££ but's genuine and an all in delivered price. smithy
