  1. Shes a nice metallic Blue now with a few lightening strikes airbrushed on, new rear spolier and binned those Venom injectors for some nismo's, a J.D chip and she runs a 100 times better now :) If I get any pics will let you know. cheers smithy
  2. No need bud, am here ;) I don't sell these but will gladly help you source one. You know there are 2 types of Apexi gauges, the series 1 and the series 2, the latter links up to a control module, so whereas the gauges seem quite cheap, you must use the module as well, series 1 gauges more expensive, but don't require the module. Apexi gauges also have the usual warning/safety features in them. Let me know if you want series 1 or series 2 and i'll point you in the right direction, though getting series 1 gauges is getting harder these days. btw, good gauges, I have 3 of them :D cheers smithy
  3. In the UK, http://www.specialvehicle.co.uk/J-main.htm Have always been the main official distributors of Greddy performance parts. hope that helps smithy

I have no idea who has what number so the winner will have 7 days to spot they have won, then it's another person. Oh and apoligies to those others that I pm'd asking to do this, yer name was at the bottom saying you were online, but physically you wern't, sozzz Cheers smithy
  6. Just follow instructions for a plenum off job mate, theres also 2 half moon shaped rubbers worth changing there whilst yer at it. smithy
  7. Ah so thats why we had that thread about everyone putting up a pic of themselves, just checking out the talent eh, hmm sneaky :D Now yer gotta spill the beans :) smithy

  9. Not good Chris mate, not good :( Now you know what to do to the red one you still have sitting around :) smithy
  10. Other than saying that Nissan fitted NGK to Zeds at the factory and reccommended them there after, hence Zed specialists fit them also and you would prefer to stick with what Nissan intended. cheers smithy
  11. Personally yes i would, cos for the sake of 40 odd quid you may as well fit what normally is fitted in em and have piece of mind mate. IMO of course smithy
  12. Just bonds on over the top of the existing and who does em ? ME ME :) On special at the mo as well in me xmas list  smithy
  13. Mine was not fitted when i bought the Zed 7 years ago, never replaced it either, no probs todate and i use an Apexi electronic water temp gauge so i know temps are okay, in fact i once remember Jeff at Zedworld saying he noticed my car was running reasonably cool! This is almost the electric fan or Viscous debate, simple answer is how many cars built since the late 90's run a viscous fan ? they all run an electric fan that comes on when required. So in short, given the stock water temp gauge is cack... fit an aftermarket one and see how she runs, you'll spot the rise in temps right away.......if any :) smithy
  14. Hey bud check out me xmas specials, you'll find the correct sparkies there :) cheers smithy
  15. Glad yer like it mate, tis the best reason for shopping at smithys  Oh and big thanks to carartz.com ( aka petrolhead) for the supply of them :) cheers smithy
  16. I'd be more inclined to think she's badly overfuelling mate, boost leak or temp sender on top inlet pipe. If you find either of these at fault remove plugs and clean em up and then refit. smithy
  17. 1ST off mate thats the starting price 79 quid. These are 1 of the 2 pairs i sourced for comparison purposes when having N/A manifolds made in the UK. If you want manifolds that are Gauranteed, are high flowing, will actually give you a performance gain and gauranteed right hand drive fitment with sensors locations in the correct place, then yer looking at 400 quid bud, i've 2 pairs in stock after being let down, so feel free to mail me smithy@manx.net If however you just want something cheap, again i can sort you with the very ones your looking at, as I have a aset of these sat around looking like they belong on a xmas tree :) 100 quid delivered. Just 1 word of warning though, just like the ones yer looking at on ebay now, you may as well use as a xmas decoration for all the benefit your gonna get, sozzzz smithy
  18. Generally you just swap yer rear wheel onto the front and put the spare on the rear,a bit of fannying around but obviously it's only a stop gap, and it works :) smithy damm, kirbz beat me by a bleedin second, lol
  19. In Januarys 07 Jap performace magazzine there is a full feature on testing different intercoolers available for the Scoobies. This is an indepth test repot and one of the coolers they used was an ebay jobbie. It was good to see that whilst at 1st the Ebay one seemed to operate a fraction cooler than stock, it actually LOST power. Just for those who often think about using Ebay coolers cos they look good value! cheers smithy
  20. Been there done that and got the bleedin T-shirt, lol Done all 4 sections on drivers side and 3 sections on passenger side, to be fair the garage who done said it wern't too bad to do and if yer doing 1 section, best do em all! you'l also probably find the small piece of metal tube that was once was clamped to the targa drain tube is now missing and rotted away, replaced mine with some S/S tube and welded in place, jobs a good un :) Done the rear arch panel too, again straight forward job for a metal work company rather than a body shop, just had the bodyshop tidy things up once the new section was done and welded in place. Got all me panels from MJP  Smithy
  21. If removing the viscous fan and fitting an electric one, it only kicks in at a pre determined degrees as set by the user, usally around 85Deg, so is only on now and then. smithy
  22. Hi bud, the Z1 kit is a Rotora kit, very nice, good quality but because of the bleeding weight costs a packet to ship over, but certainly do-able :) Next step after doing the fronts is to do a matching rear kit, something not many of the big well known companies do, so thats plan B first. Certainly after that moving up another inch or so on the disc size can be looked at and i don't expect to cost too much extra, but that would be plan C and we only get there if plans A+B work :p cheers smithy
  23. Hi mate, 1) yep front kit only but including lines, billet brackets, nuts bolts etc. 2) Yep 2 piece discs with anodised bells, not sure on colour choice yet 3) Joley is pretty much there but just to add, A radially mounted caliper is stiffer, and is better at maintaining alignment with the disc. This means the pads stay in alignment better, making better contact with the disc and exerting less lateral force on the disc while generating less heat for a given pad pressure. With traditional caliper mount points on the trailing end of the caliper, pad pressure at the leading edge of the caliper has considerable leverage to misalign the caliper in relation to the disc. Radial mounting takes care of that. Putting a mount at both the leading and trailing end of the caliper, leverage at the leading edge of the pads is reduced to a level that it becomes insignificant. Hope all that helps, if there is enough interest in to just warrant the 5 kits, then am happy to go ahead and have it produced. The very 1st kit is 250 quid dearer which i will swallow, this is for development/setting up/design cost of the caliper mounts. cheers smithy
  24. The subject of bigger brakes often crops up and with 350Z and GTR set ups not exactly cheap and AP,Alcon,Brembo etc etc big brake kits costing around 1.5K plus VAT, not many can afford them. So i've been looking and investigating and come up with some options, am not looking for deffo's or anything like that, just an expression of interest as to which option you would prefer. There is a development cost to me on either option and thats on the 1st kit, after being stung for a grand on the N/A headers, I just want more feedback first from you guys. These will fit approx 90% of 17" wheels and all 18" wheels and they would be Z32 specific fitment. Wilwood 6 pot caliper (radial mount) (My preference :) ) 330mm x 32mm rotors 5 Kits - £1055 + vat 10 Kits - £975 + vat OPTION 2 Wilwood 4 pot caliper (radial mount) 330mm x 32mm rotors 5 Kits - £1000 + vat 10 Kits - £910 + vat OPTION 3 AP Racing 4 pot 5000 series caliper (radial mount) (the nicest looking one) 330mm x 32mm rotors 5 Kits - £1030 + vat 10 Kits - £940 + vat Choices of brake pads like mintex, Ferodo and Porterfeild and would add about 80 quid ontop. cheers smithy

Yer shouldn't be stuck mate, all sellers are responsible for shipping, if the method they use looses an item (s) it is the sender/seller who has to deal with any claims and either refund part of your money or supply alternative parts. Tell him you'll give him a couple of days to sort out and failure to do so will result in you claiming back through Paypal. hth smithy
