  1. Flick through this link below mate, it's a general thing that "can" happen shortly after fitting ANY new clutch unit. http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/clutchadjustment.html Cheers smithy
  2. You don't need new manifolds at all so that saves yer a few bob. personally i'd stick with a set of nismo's 555's which can be used in your existing fuel rails. A chip from John Dixon, a decent induction, yeah use the doolz if you like and finally some new 5 bolt downpipes for the tubs. She'll run real sweet and quick with that lot ;) cheers smithy
  3. Pretty good comparison then mate, the 675RS are half the price of your TD-05's and if using some mike smith manifolds, would be even better still :p cheers smithy
  4. Though not supplied by me, I do beleive he's running the same t28 turbo's as mine I don't know any 5 bolt turbos that will only flow a bit more than the stockies tbh bud. As for Spool up times, well at just under 2K they kick in and all the way to 475lb of torque! few Zeds got that at the mo. Fairladyz, if yer going for new tubs then as Kirbz suggested the JWT530 are a good turbo, or the even quicker spooling ones, the GT675RS are getting great reveiws in the US. Turbo dynamics who done speedfreaks tubs for him do/design theirs based on the fact we're a V6 and not a straight, I:E 2 x1.5's bolted together. smithy
  5. DHL picked up a wopping great big box for me today bud which contains some nice Mike smith Manifolds, amongst other things ;) due with me around Monday mate. cheers smithy
  6. c'mon then anyone, spill the beans, lol smithy
  7. Are talking the bit that goes up to targa then around targa opening and down the outside of the a-pillar ? if so it's a wee bit pricey. I got some coming for mine and another guy plus a Z31, in fact the Z31 ones are even dearer!!! cheers smithy
  8. Feel free to point me in the direction of bad things read mate. What I can tell you is this:- These are now used by many of the Skyline tuners in the UK They are probably THE most common used gasket on the SXOC forum which covers 3 times as many members as here. I searched TT.net last nite and never found a negative word about em Kyle puckett the most renowned Z engine builder pretty much anywhere in the world outside of Japan, uses Cometic gaskets They are so popular now in the UK, a new UK distributor has been appointed for the demand Built primarily for the US engine market of drag racing. Finally from my own view and experience, currently 19 Zeds have Cometics supplied by me ;) Hope all that helps. cheers smithy P.S, Stock thickness is 1mm, hence yours being 1.2mm, 98% of cometics sold are 1.2mm
  9. TBH mate, theres about as much demand for these as there is a chocolate fireguard ! So you'll be able to source a second hand one for around a tenner or so or a knackered one for free, that way you'll get your dimensions and angles spot on ;) cheers smithy
  10. Does the electric sub fan come on when you turn the ignition on ? You have a super AFR, is that the HKS one ? if so is it disconnected ? if it is have you fitted the loop wire in place thats attached to the main harness? if not disconnected, do so and fit the loop wire, should be 2 jack plugs and 1 plugs into the other. Keep answering the questions and we'll get there :D smithy
  11. Ah gotcha, thanks for clearing that up mate, see Gio even i misunderstand too, :p smithy
  12. No problemo bud, least yer seen the blurb on em ;) Wozzer is that 800 bucks for Zed standard sized discs with pads ? Even 3G who use Brembo blanks as their base disc before maching to their own spec cost just £400 for all 4 and with a set of front and rear pads of varying brands costing around £150 (F+R) it adds up to a lot less money which would pay for new lines and fluid and fitting...... cheers smithy
  13. No mate they are not, they are street ones, race ones are special order only. If your stiill on old fluid, when flushed and re filled correctly will make a difference as will braided lines if you still have stock. The thing with brakes is, some pads suit some discs better than others, your combination is fine bud. Finally with this subject, someone says his brakes are naff, but someone else driving that car thinks they are great compared to what they are used too, different perceptions on whats good an disn't ;) cheers smithy
  14. Yeah just found his address that i sent the parts to 6 months ago, He's changed mobile numbers since too. Once I go sending letters it's gonna have to be a case of registered post incase of online court action  so was kinda hoping a quicker easier result. THanks for the comments Dave ;) 6 months waiting for a PTU and Cas that i sent Jay to loan to figure out what was wrong with his Zed is a bit much and I ain't got any spare incase my own goes!! cheers smithy
  15. Jay12668 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=77871&referrerid=119 If so please let me know and Jay if you see this, please get intouch  smithy
  16. thanks for that mate ;) the size of fronts seem okay ? ta smithy
  17. My Do-Luck double six champagne wheels are due from Japan next week :nana2: Anyways, rears are 18x10 and fronts 18x9, Mike did tell me which tyre sizes to go for but i forgot, so would 275-35-18 and 245-40-18 seem okay chaps ? Am not looking to stretch the rubber or owt. ta smithy
  18. Was pulled out of a UK car as far as i was aware bud, but yep will double check the connections. cheers smithy
  19. Straight swap 1 set of clocks for another, the needle however still moves as if it's reading KMPH instead of MPH. Nice driving down the road and it reads around 70 when am only really doing around 40 ;) any ideas folks ? Was thinking if a speed convertor was fitted and still there, the speedo would run slower surely ? cheers smithy
  20. Check this link out mate, should jog yer memory as to what was said etc ;) http://www.zclub.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8710) cheers smithy

Oi mush, 6 months later after sending PM's etc, still not had me bits back, either return or buy em  This is the last time i send my spart parts out free of charge  smithy
  22. Thinking of buying this http://www.cruising4pussy.co.uk/store/product_info.php/products_id/267 It's really only for when i come over to the UK as i always stay in hotels, cars don't get nicked over here, well 3 did last year but they were found next day, lol anyways, anyone got one of these type of alarms ? anyone had Bob fit it as i'd prefer him to. :) it works of a mobile sim, if i get a simple pay as you go UK sim, do you HAVE to keep topping up the sim to retain it ? over here you must add at least 20 quid a year to retain a payg sim. cheers smithy
  23. Unless you live in the isle of man  smithy
