  1. Hi mate, the company Jeff uses are brill, very friendly, understands peeps concerns for their pride and joy and man he's cheap. He took me upto Preston some time ago without a single issue and was cheaper than anyone else. Fraid i dunno the company name, but if yer ring Jeff ( 01827259222) and ask for Bobby the recovery man's Number, am sure he'll help yer :) Oh and he's a brummie, so bound to be close to yer :p smithy
  2. You can buy the paint yerself from their UK distributor which is chromepaint.com in Yorkshire, then have your bodyshop spray them for you, its's not hard to do. smithy
  3. Flippin eck mate thats a long way for such a farty small job. Up North theres wallace performance in Aberdeen, Camskill in Whtehaven and if you came down, then furthest you need is the northwest for the likes of RC Developments or DP motorsport, both companies install these in their customers cars almost every day and they are real quick at doing it too, I watched them once and it baffled me, lol smithy
  4. It was ME !!! i meant to put it on me own Zed, never got round to it so sold it to him at the show, he took out the airbag! and she fitted a treat. Best place is actually the US 350Z forums, they race the 350Z's quite a lot and remove the steering wheels all the time. smithy
  5. Trust me mate, if yer think they are a little steep from Luke, a few years ago the average was £400 a set  I've just gone for Ganador Carbon ones and will be selling me Veilsides as of the 24th of this month, let me know if that helps yer :) Oh and I expect to be selling for around a 100 quid! btw, you know it's only the mirror lens that is electric on veilsides, not the whole unit like Jap specs. cheers smithy
  6. Well done fella  have you fitted the induction cone yet ? smithy
  7. I took mine off so if you need it, let me know. But engine wise, the crusie solenoid and cable, takes about 10 mins to fit, then comes the complicated part, the wiring in! knowing nissan though i would hazard a guess as it's part of other looms, it may already be there but not plugged in? am only guessing tbh but someone who has it just needs to identify the wiring behind sterring coloum and you see if you have the same. I'd do it for yer, only me Zed is in Leicester for another 16 days.... smithy
  8. I remember once taking me daughters boyfriend for a spin up the mountain road to show off, soon as i got to about 4.5K, she just wouldn't go any further, almost like hitting a brick wall, got her home no probs cos upto that point driving was fine, went round all the hose clips in the engine bay and noticed a pipe sitting a bit off, removed and re fitted and tightened all hose clips. Tried it again and she revved all the way up the clocks, no bother :) So point being, a boost leak could be appearing when your pushing at 5K. If you can't find it, Anyone up your way got a boost leak tester ? theres a few on here with em if not. smithy
  9. I must confess all their stuff is rather nice and certainly very well made :) All seem to have Zillions of Led's in em too! check out the front fogs. I've a set of these side repeaters en-route to me now to see what they are like in the flesh ;) smithy
  10. These guys ain't cheap but they certainly do some nice lights, seems they have now just released the FULL LED Side repeater. http://clearcorners.com/products/nissan/300zx2/f_ssig/ smithy
  11. I'll see what i can do, BUT the only company I know who do this is AP. So don't hold yer breath bud :) cheers smithy
  12. Mark, 330mm are for 17in wheels and 355mm are for 18 in wheels, obviously it's dependant sometimes on actual wheel design. I have though asked for what the minimum space required is for the rear of wheel for each size listed. Is that also what you wanna know Jaffa ? smithy
  13. pad dimensions are AP kit pad 90x147mm, K Sport pad 85x145mm, approximate. erm hope that helps bud. cheers smithy
  14. Cons, can't think of any :p Pro's oh yes plenty. You use a 3.5bar map sensor instead of your MAF and the mapper programes the required info into the ECU to give you more power, theres a fair bit about in the sub section that says click here at the bottom of this page, section http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/engperf.php smithy
  15. 2mm longer than which ones bud ? what are you comparing them to smithy
  16. No probs mate, have asked that question for yer and wil let you know soon as. smithy
  17. No feed back as such from Zedders as am only aware of 2 peeps having it and neither are on this forum, the kits are the Skyline GTR kits and small number of them are using it and from what i've read all seems good, oh and a handfull of s14 guys on the sxoc use em :) Pad size, without having a set here to hand fraid i couldn't tell yer, these kits were only offered to me 2 days ago... can ask though, you wanting length, thickness, width or summitt ? cheers smithy
  18. TBH mate when mine was like that, I took it to a metalwork shop instead, reason being is they have better gear for cutting it out properly and owt need making up they can easily do it, also their welding tends to be better than yer average bodyshop. There are actually 4 panels there, starting from the outside and all are are easily available, 3 of them cost around 30-45 each from MJP as pattern parts, the 4th main one which bolts under the rear suspension is expensive at 160 quid from nissan, but if needed, your best buying as it is a lot bigger than yer think and has nuts welded onto it and addedd strengthers in it. cheers smithy
  19. If yer interested in the K-sport big brake kits mate, can supply the 330mm 8 pot kit for £850.00 and the 356mm 8 pot kit for £990.00. Upgrading from the K-Sport to Ferodo DS2500 pads with these kits is an extra £65 ;) cheeers smithy

I've Powertrix Adjustable upper arms in stock mate and with you being a regular, could do yer 10% off too :) smithy
  21. Wrong ones mate, they is for a TT. Heres the codes below. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=859833&postcount=13 As for what will happen, fraid i dunno... cheers smithy
  22. Erm just make sure they go in the correct way, very easy to put them in wrong and have them touching the cup mount. smithy
  23. Erm, drove to Germany, raced around a race track at over 150mph and faded on way home to UK, am missing something and "good for track", imo thats a bonus, though P/F R4-S grade arn't meant for racing. Now your confusing me mate, does that mean you bought second hand pads and ? for 300 quid with 3/4 life in em and you changed them when they started to fade at the ring ? Seeing as you were going to a race track, don't you think a track set up would have been better ? Oh and you know you wern't the only person who suffered brakes wearing out quickly on that trip, pretty much as per many who race there.. cheers smithy
  24. Being on an Island like you, I've decided to go to both by coming over for the Billing Event on the Saturday, leave car in UK and have a wee job done at Zedworld and fly home, fly back pick up car and go to JAE ;) The flights if booked early enough, work out cheaper than putting the car back on the ferry each time ! and some of these peeps here moan about driving a few hours to a show sometimes, geez how lucky are they compared to us :p smithy
  25. This may help bud http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=276394&postcount=1 smithy
