  1. I agree with the back lights. The, to me, seem a little long, but its unique. I have had people say you can see my car a mile off at night cos you can see the rear lights. As for the shape of the body, its all swings and roundabouts. It always comes back round again. In the late 60's early 70's car manufacuters started making cars with more curve. Z240, Porsche 911, E-Type Jag, Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari Ferrari 365 & 246. Then in the 80's cars went back to being angular and then again in the 90's cars went curvy again, but too curvey. They had curves for the sake of having curves, there where no need for them in the places they where. Now cars are going anglular again, or slighly curvy with strong seams. Ie, doors seams are not tried to be hidden but are in fact a part of the style of the door, pannels have not been tried to blend in with the rest of the car, and that is why I think the ZX is still doing so well with looks now, personally. Look at the front wing, it curves round and over the wheel, its a curve that is needed. The little dink of a wheel arch they have now where is comes out at nearly 90º would not work becuase it so large. But. look at the join of it at the front and near the door. Its not just a line, its shaped. As with the the other end, it acutally goes up the A-Pillar slightly giving it an over lap look. Look at the rear spoiler. They could have made it so the spoiler and boot was one piece and you could hardly see the join, but they wanted it in two and the obvilous line where the spoiler is and how it joins the obvious, even highlighed (The black rubber strip) boot line is so simple its beautiful. The Z32 has natural curves with strong enhancing lines, which for me means it will stay one of the most beautiful looking cars in the world for time to come. It will never go out of date, because it has never been completely in date. It was designed in the early-mid 80's and released in 1988. Yes 12 where released at the time when Cher won an Oscar, Rick Astley got to Nº1 with Never Gonna Give You Up, and Wimbledon beat Liverpool 1-0 in the FA cup final. Then cars where square, didnt fit in but didnt look out of place. The 90's cars where super curvey, again the Z32 didnt fit in but didnt look out of place. Now cars have gone for strong lines, once again the Z32 doesnt fit in but doesnt look out of place. You could compare the Z32 to pop music. All the new cars are like the latest thing. Look and sound good at first, but then every thing starts looking and sounding the same, it dies out and even becomes embarrasing. The Z32 is like Elton John, Phil Collins (I appologies if you dont like them but its an example ;)) Popular when they first came out and every few years, said to make a come back. But the real truth is the they never left. ;) The Z32 was popular when I came out and it seems to have a come back every few years. But the truth is, they have always been on the road, it only when all the new "sports cars" the same do people notice the Z. As for the popup lights thing. I drove a MR-2 round the block to park it once and I put the lights on. It look stupid. Having a nice smooth bonnet and then have these 2 huge squares pop up. As for the Supra, take that wing off and the car looks really really really really dull. Sorry for any Supra owners, as you know its my personal opinion. Skylines, I love the R-34 and I dont know why people dont. Its the best looking one. However the R-33 R-32 dont look anything special, hence thats why I think the R-34 has a stonger look. If you didnt know what to look for, from some angles, the Skyline looks like a normal car. From the back its impossible not to notice unless you cant read font size 300 text from a few feet away ;). Enough from me I have babbled on enough. As usual ;) Bye Stuart
  2. There are lots of things to do really. Chip it, get the boost up with some new intercoolers. ;) Also, get some new brakes on the car first but you want something bigger than the Z ones so you need 17inch alloys min. ;)
  3. Whats the IP. Whats the email address? Is it a .com?

http://www.apexi-usa.com/graphics/pImgLeft_intake_powerintake1.jpg Its that one. The filter is found under the panel that has the Nissan badge between the lights. The badge has a Z on it for Imports. Here area pic of where it is. http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/pop/pop05.jpg Other are, BlitZ Popular, K&N some people have problems fitting them on because UK cars have the oil cooler in the way, I think K&N now only recomend it for US Z's, HKS - few people have these but they suposibly soak water which is not good for the MAS(Mass Air Sensor) on the end of the filter. I like the Apexi because it fits without having to cut away at the splash gaurd. The BlitZ I think you need to do this, not sure about the HKS. Stuart
  5. £2500 service? That sounds like a rebuild. But it should mean the engine is as good as new.
  6. Whats that little box next the the ECU? Ask if he can get a photo of it what he means. By the sounds of it he is saying that he has replaced all the components inc the fuel pump, ECU but not the little box next to the ECU. However could his problem be the PTU? Sounds like he knows his stuff if he has replaced those other parts. How do you know if its your PTU? Will it not spark? Stuart

Yep it is. Lots of people have Apexi stuff, from boost controlers to exhausts and inductions. I have an Apex'i induction and I think its great. I could feel the power difference straight away. Smithy (Cybrecraft) on the trade section is taking orders for them for £125 I think it was, other places quoted £188. Cheaper than K&N which is around £200, and Blitz which is about £140 I think. If you get a Z get an Apex'i Induction. Stuart
  8. Internet speed is quoted in Kilo-bits a second. I.e. like 512 and 1M, its actually 512 k-bits and the 1M is 1 mega-bits a second not mega-bytes. As we all know there are 8 bits in a byte. So 512 kilo-bits a second = 64Kilo-bytes a second (64KBs) download, 512 divided by 5. 1 megabit connection is 128kilo-bytes a second (128Kbs) download. 56K modems are 56 kilo-bits a seconds which equals 7kilo-bytes a second (7Kbs download) That is the maximum you can get. Some times you will get more because of buffering. The program is downloading while you select where you are putting it and if you take 5 seconds to do that and click OK, you have 5 seconds of download but the computer only starts the time from when you click Ok. Thats why you seem to go really fast at first. Also you will never get full speed on a download because of overheads. Information is sent it packets, like moving in boxes. In the packet there is also information which is not your download like packet number, where its coming from and the what the packet is, i.e. the MP3 you are downloading or the picture thats coming down as you browes while you download. So some of download is being used for that which makes the download speed of DATA slower. Also every so many of packets the computer you are downloading from will send a check number, which is a number generated from the information it sends. When you get the information from the internet, it will do the same calculation of the data and then compaire it with the number from the internet and if its the same, it will send an OK back to the internet and more information will be sent. So again, download speed is lost with your computer sending information back to the download speed. This is a generalisation of how it works. ;)
  9. No I will have it.
  10. Have you tried Hiteq in Wigan. I know its a long way but if its cheaper.
  11. http://www.rumproast.com/v1/airport.html Heres a link to where some of them on a site. It was easy to find. Search for Funny Heathrow on google and it was there. :D Stuart
  12. First clutch gone, nearly £400 for the clutch and £150ish to have it put on. Front tyres, drivers side outside really really bald passenger side really really bald. So that was £148 for 2 fronts. Falkens, nice. Good price and and so far grip very well. These are the ones if you are interested. http://www.falkentire.com/html/products/ziex/ziex40/ziex40.htm After I got new tyres I went to get the tracking done at Thislethwaites in Bolton becuase its computeriesd lazer 4 wheel tracking and camber check. Very good but expensive. However after having it done last time the car handled better and was smoother, and not only that, my steering wheel was straight. :D Every time I have gone for tracking my steering wheel as always been to the left afterwards. Any way. Drove to Bolton, they put the car up and I wander, off cos I it takes a while to do, come back to only be told my track rod end is buggered. :( FFS!!! However, they say £48 to have it replaced, parts and labour. :D Which I think is very reasonable. It would cost over £20 for the rod end to from Nissan and apparently is a bitch to put on expecially with cars our age cost they sieze on. Any way. Some people may know I was thinking of selling my Z next year and getting a younger one. However after spending nearly £800 on my car this month alone, (WHERE THE FECK DID I GET THAT MONEY FROM  )with clutch, tyres, trackrod and tracking, I think I may keep this one after all. We all know that RED 1991 UK spec ZX's are the fastest ;). Any way. Just had to tell you all. Nice to let it out. :D Stuart
  13. HICAS works most of the time. Between 20 and 100mph
  14. The BT one though, we have been waiting for that to come round here for ages. Over 2 years and they still havent. And I dont live in a cecluded area. IMHO you wont be sorry with the broadband. I once had ISDN, which was nice I got 64,000 connection all the time and down loads of just under 8Kbs, but it wasnt worth the extra money for an extra 1.5kbs over a modem. However the extra £10 a month for an extra 55Kbs over a modem is worth it. If you have a Cable phone its £25 a month for a 512 connection no limit of transfer. For an extra £10 a month its upped to 1024. £15 a month for a Modem connection equals £2.14 per Kbs (kiloByte a Second) £25 a month for Cable Blueyonder 512 connection equals £0.39 per Kbs £35 a month for Cable Blueyonder 1024 connection equals £0.27 per Kbs
  15. Bite the bullet and go for broadband
  16. MAC, but they are English sheep, and not shagged Welsh sheep ;) Of the major roads, Wales is nice. I like it when you drive along the mountain and you have 200 foot drop to the side of you, and to stop you falling to you death, if you should lose control is clothsline being held up by small wire polls ;) If you are in the really dangerous places, its upgraded to chicken wire. ;) Stuart
  17. Some good one when you get of the main roads in the Lakes. The one that goes round Winderemere is good. Very hilly, you cant go too fast down there becuse you will be dead. :D As for Wales. Nice roads but when I have been going to Aber. There have been lots of police round.
  18. Does it have a stupid wing on the back and had like Viking horns on the back of the seat? Funny when we drove into the carpark cos the attendents where laughing. :D
  19. If they didnt have have women standing next to cars, 90% of the dumb blonds in the world would be unemployed and even more importantly unemployable. ;) The woman who said that must have been a Lezbo ;) Stuart
  20. I have tried to make a vid with the footage of the Motorshow. There is not much you can do with cars standing still and some spinning round slowly. :D and some very slowly. :D Anyway hope you like. Right click save as, and I have used DIVX again so you will need it installed. You can get it from http://www.divx.com if you dont have it. Low Quality 5mb Right Click HERE Does any one want a high quality? Any broadbanders interesed? Hope you like Stuart
  21. Personally I think that spending the rest of your life in prison is the worse think. I dont know if Washington has the death penalty however Alabama I think does so they will be trialed for that first and will probably get it there. However, they will then have to Washington for these killings and then thier will be all the appeals. It will be a good few years if they are gonna be killed by the American Justice System if they will be. Stuart
  22. S02 are now out of use and you are very lucky to get 2 of them now and you would be lucky to get 2 for under £200. As for Falkens, I my went local tyre place Pemberton Tyres for Falkens for the fronts they had none, the UK depot didnt have any and Pemberton Tyres phoned round to find some for me. The next day the found 2 in Scotland. There are plenty of other makes that perform well and not too expensive. Try Fulda, FB Goodridge, Goodyear F1's.Phone your local tyre place for prices, but phone round. I have been given a difference of over £100 for 2 of the same tyres at different places.
  23. Whats happening is there a virus in the bootsecor of the Disc Drive. The boot sector is read into memory as soon as the computer start to boot up. So what is happening is as soon a your computer starts to boot, the virus is loading too and staying in your memory. So when you try to run the virus checker, it sees the virus in the memory and then shuts down, becuase if the virus is in the memory its active and could infect your computer more, damage it or infect others. The rescue disc boots the computer from the floppy discs so it hasnt accessed the Hard Disc Drive so the virus hasnt spread to the memory. On the floppy discs is a virus checker which will run and check your Hard Disc Drive for viruses. It will find the one in the bootsector and if it can, get rid of it with no harm to you computer. This will allow you to boot into windows again but now the memory will be virus free. You must scan your computer again with the windows scanner you have, because that can search for more viruses. However, there is a strong possiblity that if you make a rescue disc now, the virus will spread to the rescue disc too, and you are back to square 1. But you can try it. The virus may not have the ability to spread to floppy disc boot sectors. Stuart

I got a UK manual for £4500 but its high milage and needed and still needs alot of work. The rear sills where rotten and I was quoted £770 perside to fix. Lucky me and my dad did it with virtually no cost but its a running battle and it took us 2 days per side to do and isnt completly finished. The rear spoiler was in tatters and I got a 2nd hand one at a good price and put it on myself. Now there is some rust apearing in the engine bay which needs getting hold of and jack damage which is starting to rust too. So as you can see if you get a cheap one it will need a lot of work and unless you can do it yourself it will cost you a lot. Stuart.
  25. If you get 18's try get some larger brakes. Small brakes under big wheels look stupid.
