Japanese imports
You cant call a black board now cos is offensive. Its a chalk board. Errr, no its black and its a board. Really we should call black people brown, cos they are brown. I have seen a few people with black skin. You cant call it a white board cos its offensive. Its a pen board. Errr no its white and its a board. Again we should not call people white, cos its more a peach colour and if its darker, its tanned. You cant a person who delivers letters a mail man any more. Its a person person. :D Political correctness has gone silly. Stuart

Anyone else waste time on petrol forecourt?
I have spent so long trying to get petrol in the punp timed off when i only had £11 in  It was a Tesco one. So not going there again. I tend to find some places are worse than others. Tesco are bad, Shell are strange, sometimes is on off all the time and sometimes it puts £40 in before it plays up. I think Esso are the ones I have had less problem with. I would love to think what people are thinking when they see us putting the petrol in and it keeps stopping. They are probably thinging. DERRR ITS FULL!!!! :D Stuart

costco prices for info
Hmmm yes good for Michelin tyres. I asked for some nice Pilot for my stock rears. Hmmmm £194 each:eek: I dont think so. Costcos are all over the place. There is on in Haydock. You can be put on some one who has a main card. Usually you get them through work. But there are some professions where you can get them, doctors, teachers, social workers ect. Stuart

apexi induction kits
I have one and there is a noticable difference in the car. I cant tell you what its like compaired to others because I have never had any other filter on mine. :D There is a difference in the sound. Its beefier, and you can hear you turbos slightly too. I cant tell you about filtration bar that Jap article when they compaired them, but there is a rumor that Apex'i comissoned the article. I am very happy with my Apex'i because others I have looked at/tired to put on meant cutting away the splash gaurd which I am not happy about. The Apex'i went in with ease and with the spash gaurd in 1 peice and in place, which can only help. Get it from Smithy, I was given quotes of £188 from other places for one. Its also a lot better than the K&N one I got that didnt fit and cost £225  Stuart

who's pinched me boost?
Hmmmmm, Audi TT. Full of faults. There is a site with where some one put down all that went wrong with his Audi. They say that faults that take 80,000 miles to occur in a normal car will take 10,000 in a TT. Yes with simple modifications Skyline brakes will fit on a Z quite easily. I will be driving my Z in the winter. I have two words for it, fun and slipply. ;) I also have traction control which helps with pulling off and cornering to an extent Stuart

costco prices for info
Yep they are very good for things like that but sometimes they are not always the cheapest for stuff though so beware. But the things like oil, batteries and tools for the for the car are great. The car batteriest look good quality stuff too. Kirkland with is their own brand of stuff. Full disc steering locks are about £50 too. Cheaper than the £80 halfords charge you.

Nu B afta TT Zed
Check you MAF. Ian had a problem with is which caused the car not go over 2000rpm. What happens when you reach that 5000. Misfire or just wont allow over it. Also when you floor it to rev it does it shoot to 5000rpm and say there or does it climb quick then slow down? Stuart

US Courtesty Nissan. Every where I tried in the UK had a big back log of orders and would take a while to get them Stuart

Silly question I know.........
Where is this drop down box? I click Owning, Parts and then the page loads and there is only 1 drop downbox and that says province.

Traction control
You wont regret it. Mines being used all the time. When you turn and pull off causes the wheels to spin very easily but the TC pops and you dont notice any spin. Stuart

Headlight power..?
Mine are not bad now. They where shining virtually straight down at first, I put it so they shine higher. They are 10 times better than what they where but not as good as a normal cars. Stuart

Whats wrong with your car at the moment ?

Nu B afta TT Zed
Just saw your age. Have you checked out Insurance prices first? Single turbo? Could that be a pre 89Z? The old 300ZX. Also are you looking for a manual? How much you looking to spend? Stuart
-
Nu B afta TT Zed
Here are a few things to consider. All UK ZX's are 2+2, Twin Turbo with Tagra Tops. Jap come in 2+2 and 2 seater, Twin Turbo and NA. There are hard top ZX's but I think that was a later thing they did. Both UK and Jap come in Automatic and Manual form. Only a small percentage of Z's are Manual. The NA donesnt come with HICAS, 4 wheel steering and doesnt come with turbos too. ;) Insurance on a Jap NA will be more than on a UK Twin Turbo. It is harder to find a very good condition UK than a good condition Jap. But with Jap cars, the body may be in better condtion but the Japanese people love to mod thier cars and very few come into the country stock. That also means we dont know how well the work has been. People have bought low mileage Jap cars and had nothing but engine problems. But that is true with UK cars. If you are looking at a Z, I am sure someone who lives close to you would not mind going looking at it with you. Stuart.

Heavy Clutch?
The car needs to be on to make the clutch light. Its like the brake. Turn the engine off and pump the brake a few times and it gets harder and higher. Hard clutch? Could that the master cylinder going.? But I would have thought that meant the gears crunch more when you change. The best way to see if you need a new clutch is dirve put it in 5th and floor it. Keep going untill about 3000-3700rpm so you will need to do it on a motorway or dualcarrageway with a national speed limit. I am in the midst if getting my clutch done. I ordered one from Smithy, at a very good price and its uprated too, to about 450bhp. There are a few forum people in the North East who can help you with where to take it. Stuart
