  1. You where going over 30mph? Have you tried it at different speeds? Did they track your wheels correctly or did they take the wheel off and place it straight which I know a few places that would. Including ATS who told me friend to do it after they balls'd up his tracking 3 times. Stuart
  2. Kumho tyres on a Z are dangerous, IMHO. I had them on the rears when I first got my car. They would wheel spin all the time the traction is non-existent in the wet. I have Falkens on mine at the moment and I am very happy with them. I have tried Bridgestone S02's too. The Falkens are not as good as the S02's but they are very very good. They also cost nearly half the price as S02's too.
  3. The rev limiter comes in at 7200 I think it is. The same for a UK car. Stuart
  4. Boot from the CD first. You get a menu with 2 options I think. Boot from CD, Boot from HDD. When you select Boot from CD you get another menu asking what you want. Install Windows DOS prompt with CD support DOS prompt without CD suport This is what happened when I did it anyway. Stuart
  5. Students to test ride condoms LONDON (Reuters) - Hard-up students are being recruited to test condoms, rating them for their pleasure, comfort and performance qualities. The 100-150 successful job applicants will be paid 100 pounds per academic term as they road-test a range of condoms from German manufacturer Condomi. "The condom testers will be asked to give a pleasure rating. They will not be asked to test quality -- that has already been done," Condomi's marketing manager in Britain Victoria Wells told Reuters on Thursday. "Test results will be fed back to our research and development department, and we hope that the students who participate will both enjoy the testing and the money, and give us a frank response which we can use for product development," Wells said. She said adverts had been placed in a number of student publications and will run on several student radio stations from October 25. Would-be testers will be asked to fill in an application available online at http://www.condomi.co.uk. Among the voluntary questions asked of candidates will be: how many partners they have had, how often they have sex and how long its lasts -- with the option to tick various boxes marked from "under one minute" to one marked "1.5-two hours". Cos MSN will use that link for another story soon.
  6. John Lesley is a weak, lanky scottish twit, no way he could rape a blowup doll let alone Ulrikakakakakakakakakakaka :D Stuart
  7. Mine only slipped every now and then and really only in 4th and 5th gear. Now it slips more often in every gear when I use more that 50% throttle. Best way to see if its slipping is do 40 in 5th then floor it till about 80-90 so you have to do it on the motorway. Keep your eye on the revs and watch to see it change rate quickly. Mine was fine to about 3000 rpm then it slipped upto 3500 and then slipped down again. Stuart
  8. Windows 98 and ME where bootable CD's. Put the boot sequence in the BIOS so it boots from the CD first. The installation should format the HDD.
  9. I found a site where some one is making a space saving tube chassis for a SX which would more than half the weight of the chassis and make it stronger.
  10. You mean too much MASS Always capitals too ;)
  11. When I would check the forum every hour or so to have a read. Now nothing happens for hours. :(
  12. A word on insurance. If you get a 10 year old one, you will be able to put the car on classic insurance which is alot cheaper and allows you to use your no claims on a 2nd car which some insurance companies require to have with a car on a classic policy. Stuart
  13. £50? All you need to do is keep on top of it. Wash your car every week and the polish comes through every time and hoover it for 10 mins every two weeks. There you go. Save you money. :D
  14. Nitrous is really the last thing you do in a long line of mods. You put that on now and your engine wouldnt last long and would melt. Plus the fact you can probably get the same amount of power increase with increasing the boost. And then you will have the extra power all the time and not when you press a button.
  15. The throttle bodies is the front of the Plenium (Big alloy thing on the engine ;)) chanber. dis connect the 2 hoses that go into the plenium chamber get some carb cleaner and squirt it in and use a paint bush to clean it. I use virtually all the can of carb cleaner. Open the butterfly vavles in the chanber either by hand or press the accelerator and make sure you get in there. Block the hose so no debis can get down them and if you use a can of carb cleaner with a straw dont lose it in there. The throttle position sensor is the little back box on the right side of the front of the plenuim chamber. Stuart

I had the high tick over and I cleaned the throttle bodies I cleaned the temp sensor, I reset the ECU. It actually cleared when I got a new fuel filter because it was due one and I would rather do things slowley and not have to change everything at once. I changed the fuel filter which I didnt know how long it was on there and I reset the ECU. It was only a week later that I noticed that it hadnt been doing the irretic idle. Try it. You might like it ;) Stuart
  17. There was a 2000 Z for sale for £20,000. 1000kms 2 seater hard top twin turbo. Nice!! Dont forget that most Jap cars are sent here because of the 3 year law where the tax shoots up ever year after the 3 years. So really 1999 ones will only be coming available in about a year or 2. Plus why spend £20,000 on a ZX when in 5 years it would be worth next to nothing. Stuart
  18. Trying to get to the NEC planning on going the WRC too but the stage we want cant book in advanced.
  19. I found one like that a while ago. I think I posted then I noticed how long the previous post was. It was like 4 months.
  20. you cant tell what you are on exactly by that list. I have a Stage I induction Kit and a cat back exhaust which says its a Stage IV.
  21. Jesus, we should have had a group buy on clutches. ChrisC has just got one I think. Mine is on order cos my ones slipping and Ajay is on its way too. Stuart
  22. Search the internet. Most are just locals who meet about once a month. I emailed them and they told me the place they meet around here and a phone number to contact.
  23. The silver one with the ZX written on the door has Mitsubishi Starion Wheels on
  24. http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/srrae This is my car and it is far from a best condition one. The digital camera that was uses makes the interior look not as nice as it is in really life. The camera was one of the first ones out and the colour quality isnt that good. You should really take some one who knows the car when you go look at one becuase they know what to look for and there are some diag tests you can do to find any problems. All cars have their problems especially sports cars, however the cars are at an age now where they most of the troubled parts would have been replaced. As you know owning a large engined car that they last forever but abuse it and you are looking at a lot of trouble. My engine has done over 155,000 miles and is still smooth and strong and starts first time every time. Stuart
  25. Has Vinc still got his ones going? The tyres on tham are virtually new.
