I tried Autoroute with a GPS and I found quite a few problems. First it doesnt follow the car. There is a symbol of the car on the map of where you are, but the screen didnt follow it. Also if you make a route I would have thought the computer puts arrows on the screen where to go when you get close. No!. Non of that. And it only updates ever few seconds. Dont forget a cheap Laptop good enough for Autoroute will cost you about £600 for a 2nd hand one, then the GPS, cheapest is £120 and you really need an external ariel for the GPS whish is another £60 or so. And then you have loads of wires. Laptop power (If you are going on a long trip) GPS power (Unless you want to spend loads on Batteries) GPS to Laptop connection (Which costs more) and then the GPS aerial you end up with a mass of wires. You then are very nervous about leaving your car cos you have a laptop in it and you cant always carry it with you./ Stuart

Sounds more like the speedo dial is starting to fail. I had that trouble about a year ago.

And you can search the old forums. Before is used to time out if you searched the whole tread and you only got results if you searched the title only in the general forum. But just done a search of all the threads and got a result in about a second. WOW:D Miles better. S t u a r t
