  1. Or Costco sell batteries for £35 for one for a Z. Very good value. Its also the same size battery for a Ferrari F40 :D Stuart
  2. Yes well I did know the Java code for it, I do Java all day at Uni. I was just trying to tell it in none programming lingo. :D Stuart
  3. I agree you can have more fun with it on. Before I had it launches almost ended up in a wheelspin when I get to about 5500rpm in first and sometimes in 2nd depending on tyre temperature, how wet it was and road surface. But now I get a few pops which sound great and keeps me moving. :D Going round corners is great. On 0% slip it cuts in before you know it. On 5% the back end comes out very slighly before it kicks in and on 10% or 15% you get a nice slide which can be held by just keeping your foot to the floor :D I have actually found that the car in the dry grips a hell of a lot more than you think. Some times on big empty corners I try to slide it with the TC but I end up flying round it and not need the TC.. Stuart
  4. I agree. His songs are really good. Some are boring and most sound the same after a while. I like it when he brings out a song which people say shouldnt be released cos of the content and then later brings out one which calls all the people who do what he said in the song. I cant remember the exact songs or words but on is "Stan" when he writes back saying "I say those things just messing around, com'on how f***ed up are you." That is not just the only example, its just that I dont know them off my heart. I think he is very clever the way he does stuff. In all his interviews he seems inteligent and doesnt fly off the handle, like I have seen other so called "Nicer" music artists do. But in his music he makes himself out to be completely different. Its not his fault that there are loads of pathetic stupid twits out there who think that cos he raps about it its OK to do it.
  5. Nice. I like dark alloys
  6. I think it does only apply to Jap imports. So all the Fairlady drivers can do it but not the UK 300ZX. However it would be interesting though if you had a UK car and said that you have a 99 spec front bumper which was not designed for a UK sized plate and would disrupt the airflow to the radiator. Stuart
  7. I thought you get an JWT ECU and they you can run 14-15psi happily. I have been told that you shouldnt really up the boost with out an uprated ECU, Stuart
  8. In memory it stores every thing on the screen, sites, colours and window locations. They made animated gif of some one moving and jumping round. While this picture is moving round, your memory is still storing information about every thing on your computer incuding the that window position. Lets call it "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" So any commands to "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" refers to that window. Now remember that "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" already has a load of data that you dont think about, the size of the window, the location and stuff. On that site there will be the animation on a timer and commands on a timer. When, for example the animation gets to frame 50, which is when he hits the the right wall, there would be command saying in the background where we cant see, "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" location = "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" location + 20pixels right. So it will move the Internet Explorer window named "iExplorer-shakeitbabe" 20 pixles right. Same when he goes left, up down or any direction. Its got nothing to do with the computer knowing which side he is hitting, but 2 programs timed together 1 running the animation and 1 changing the location of the window. Stuart I know it doesnt make sense but I understand
  9. Well I disagree Stuart. If you get a perfect pull off, ie. using 99%/100% of the traction, you will get a faster pull off from when use your traction control. Traction control misfires when it detects a wheel spin. The wheel spin means you are losing traction and acceleration. The misfire again means you are losing more acceleration, because it slows you down for a small fraction of a second to gain traction. All this is lost acceleration. So compairing a perfect launch to one where the TC is used, a perfrect launch is better. However. How many people can do a perfect launch all the time? None of us. Plus without traction control you will always think, could I have pulled off harder. If you do, it will cause you to wheel spin. This is where the TC is better because it can detect a wheelspin and do somthing about it before you even know its spinning. On that Vid with my TC launch, you cant see it on the small version but on the uncompressed file my drive back you can see the skid mark I left. It has about 10 small gaps in it. This is where the TC misfired to gain traction. Unfortunaltly as soon as it gained traction, it lost it again. This was due to the left side being on gravel. Hence the skid, grip, skid, grip, skid, grip etc. Its quite interesting. Im rambling now so I will stop. Stuart
  10. Here you go Stuart. £31 for the O2 tool for most Nissans. Most probably work for the 300ZX. I heard they are a git to put in and out if you dont have the right tool. If you do its quite easy. I think 1 side is easy to get to but the other is a little tricky. I may look into it soon, my MPG aint the best and I am deffinatly running rich. Stuart
  11. So they are. I wonder what I was looking at then :S
  12. I dont know how much the O2 sensors are. From courtesy they are $8 each I think. They are in a git of a place to get to, but I think snap-on make an O2 sensor tool which makes it easier to take out. They are £30. But it depends on how much a garage would charge to do it. Andy did you replace it yourself? Stuart
  13. BASTARD I wrote out a long post with and every thing and when I went to post it said I couldnt post with 30 secs of another and I lost it all. http://www.nissanzx.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/TC.avi Heres a vid of mine working, you need DIVX Stuart
  14. My ECU said all sensors are working fine. But it only detect total failure and not funny readings. I have a new APEX'i induction kit so its starting to sound like the O2 sensors. Never mind! Stuart
  15. My ones are really sooty after a few days though. Like I never cleaned them. There is no way to find out if your O2 sensors are playing up. The ECU only tells you if they are at total failure. Has any one on here ever changed the O2 sensors? Did they find anything different after? Stuart
  16. I used anything I could to clean mine. LOL Autogylm metal polish at first before it ran out, and then autoglym paint renovator. :D The pic is after 2 hours of cleaning. But ones its done, every week, get a cloth and just wipe away the soot. No hard scrubbing needed again. Stuart
  17. Tesco didnt up my insurance when I told them, and my girlfriend's, who's with direct line, didnt go up when she told them about her traction control on her MINI. Im not too sure about who I am with, A-Plan. I cant remember if I told them about it or not. Most places when I was getting quotes didnt add anything on, because most class it as a safty device, but some say you can go faster round corners, which is untrue. Stuart
  18. Has any one ever seen it? I know a few months ago I said that it was crap, in a thread that Nelson started. But I must say now that's one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Does any one else watch it? I think that you have to have worked in an office like that to appretiate that there are people like that in the work place in real life. Stuart
  19. Of if that doesnt work turn the radio on. ;)
  20. The speedo problem could be your speed sensor. My speedo had the same problem as yours of only working when it wanted to but the steering wroked fine. My problem was a faulty speedo. If the steering is going kaka, the its either speed sensor or speed converter. Stuart
  21. I think most cars have 3 or 4 major earthing points, and if 1 of these isnt 100% it can cause all sorts of problems that you couldnt think og. Bad performance, bad MPG anythink. It all has a knock on effect. Some one I know of, stripped his car out, every thing interior, engine for some reason, cant remember what, and when they put everythiung back in they made sure all the earths where good, clearing any sulphur, rust dirt from these points. After that the car ran much better. Apparently it felt more powerful, more resonsive and did better MPG. Stuart
  22. Thanks Smithy, But I think I will have to save a little money. I spent £120 on dials, tax is due and I have spent loads on petrol latley. PS. You still got my dials? I was gonna try make my own. I found a company in the US who will assit me in attampting to make some. Stuart
  23. I thought there was nothing wrong with it. BUt I did then post just after it the my car doesnt seem as fast as it once felt ;) Stuart
  24. I have an after market gauge. Its shows 9 PSI. But I have been told with induction exhaust and de cat I should be getting about 10psi. The idle isnt the best. Its been OK for a while but sometimes it does the up down thing. Also, then I press the acclerator from stop, the revs drop slightly before picking up. Whats that about? Stuart
