To lift the front up I jack it up with the car jack first to lift the springs then I can get the trolly jack under it. Make sure you move the car jack when the car is up, you dont want to bring the car down on it. You can usually just pull the trolly jack out when you are finished because the suspention is a little higher cos its not settled. Stuart

Errr, that will be your traction control kicking in. Because you are turing a tight corner the inside wheels are traveling a lot less than the outside wheels. This is inturprited by the traction control as a skid, as your outside wheels will be traveling faster than the inside, and will start to miss fire to "try" and gain traction. You need to increase you wheel difference thresh-hold. I think I put mine to about 4.5. I think the settings I sent you have the threshold I am using. Stuart

It was gonna be the main car but all the cars where picked on seeing real kitted cars, ie. the RX-7 is someones RX-7 which they took down for the producers to see and was chosen on its looks. I think all 300ZX owers have too much sense to put stupid wings on, have red lights under the car and put nasty stickers all over it. Also Mike, do you have the DVD? I posted the same thing about 3 months ago. I was a little suspect that a virus has its own file, 99.9% attach them selves to another file, and the fact that the person who suposidley made the virus took time to create an icon for it. :confused: Never mind no real harm done. Stuart

You can stall an engine by putting too much petrol in it, ever heard of flooding the engine? This is where there is too much petrol in the cylinders and its is too wet for a spark to happen. Same with when driving. If 7% too much petrol is put into the cylinders most probably 5% of that petrol wont burn and will be just blown out the exhaust, so that is a waste. Plus that surplus petrol could hinders the performance of the engine, like how a flooded engine (Petrol flood) wont start. Think of a candle. The wick is like the spark plug and the wax is the fuel. What happens when there is too much hot wax in the top of the candle? The flame get smaller and smaller until the flame goes out. This is just like a engine. Too much petrol can cause the engine not to combust correctly, drowning the spark plug, so that it cant get hot enough, to ignite the whole cylinder. I'm crap at explaining things so I am sure some one else will do a better job of it. Stuart

Try geewhizz@onetel.net.uk for parts. He is always braking a Z or 2. I think the best thing for the seat handle that has snapped off is take the seat out and wheld another handle on. You cant see it anyway. I am not sure about the lights. I know that the headlight bulbs are different, but are easily converted to H3, but the fogs I have no idea. Welcome too. Stuart.

I have seen an old mini piss on a Skyline round a race track. Flew past as it wasnt there. Modified means nothing, its all down to how much money you have. Stuart

I remember seeing pics of the day on the Scooby net site. Yes it is tragic and I feel for the girlfriend who lost her loved one and was put in a wheel chair. It was an accident and the person at the front wouldnt expect some one to be overtaking them from 3 cars behind them. Personally I think it was a stupid thing to do. But that's the dort of thing Scooby drivers do.

Actually, on a long run you should get better consumption on colder wet days. Cold damp air makes the engine run better. However, if you are doing shorter jouries its worse. The engine takes longer to warm up and the choke will be on for longer. Stuart

The pads may be at blame, but it is the general brake setup of the ZX that is not so good. Putting Skyline calipers and discs on and the braking is a lot different. Stuart

There is no reason why you cant get a custom exhaust. I think that 92 J reg you can legaly remove the cats too.

I cant remember. I think a compressor is better, but you can put too much air into it. :(

I can hear my turbos from the front of my car. Do I have a leak? Its not as bad as that I can just hear a whispy whistle. Jaz, the best way is to pump air into the intake and make sure its sealed there. You then listen for any air coming out. Stuart
