  1. Does any one know a place who will do insurance for 3 months? Its cos in 3 months I can use my 5 year NCB on my 2nd car instead of having to start with 0. Thanks Stuart
  2. YOu dont get warped discs from heat, you get them from repeated heat and then quickly cooling down. My discs and calipers get very hot on a longer run. Stuart
  3. I have a Corsa which I am trying to get to be my daily driver, but the driver wheel is badly cambered in. We have changed the strut, wishbone and balljoin but its still bent in, quite badly. I noticed today that the drivers wheel seems to be more towards the back of the wheel arch while the other is in the middle of the wheel arch. You get what it mean? What could this mean? Is the frame bent? Any help please on what to do with it. Stuart
  4. Am I the only person who has managed to get on this site? Seems very lonley. I know there are problems but I got it working. Has any one else?
  5. Down the east Lancs dual carrage way coming back from Salford where there are about 5 sets of lights and a few roundabouts on a national speed limit road. First set of lights I just had fun, the TC was on 10% The Jag was next to me but I didnt take any notice. Next set of lights I wasnt really bothered but I noticed the Jag driver really trying. So floored it when he was about 2 cars infront and blew past him. Next set of lights, I hear his engine reving, not having any of it I waited till the lights went green and then floored it. It was like he was going backwards and I did him again at the next set of lights. After that he pulled up behind me every time. :D Sucker Stuart
  6. Hehehe. Sounds like a good chap. How can you tell if its a TT Supra or a NA Supra. There are about 3 round here and I have a feeling they are all NA Stuart
  7. I think for a medium cost tyre they are very good vaule for the performance you get. I has Bridgestone S02 on the rears which I could only fault how long they lasted. Everything else was fantastic. The Falken are not as good as the Bridgestone but they cost nearly half as much as them. In the dry I would say they are very good. In the wet they are not as good, could be better but not dangerous. You wont lose it if you drive normally. Stuart
  8. Hehehe. Yes they where all recalled for that. The new MINI is fastest selling car ever. It is also the most recalled car ever too. Stuart
  9. Hmmm, worse thing you can do to a new engine is that. My girlfriend got a new MINI and they said dont go over 3000rpm for the 1st 1000miles then for xxxx miles cant remember what, dont do more than 50% throttle. Stuart

Hmmm, dont think driving all over your best white sheet is gonna go down well with who ever does the waching. Just dont leave any skid marks on it . ;) WHOOO I'm too funny. Stuart
  11. Bet that site is gutting for any one. But the thing it unless you are red lining it, if its blown then it was gonna blow anyway sooner or later, sitting on the start line at 5000rpm waiting for the green light shouldnt so any harm, unless it over heats but you should be looking out for that. Also driving up tp 6500rpm should not do you engine any harm, because as soon as you reach that high you change gear. Most of the time is spent round the 4000 to 5500 rpm. I do pull offs like that on a regular basis down the East Lancs. I just love it when a BMW driver is right up your arse and when the lights come pull into the next lane thinking he can accelerate me. Heheheh. Sooooo funny, cos I can just imagine his face when he is a dot in my rear view mirror. Stuart

It must be going some where. Wait until its dry and then try again, you should be able to see where its leaking from then.
  13. Oh yeah. So far hes done cluch change and decat on my car. I am sure he can do that. Stuart
  14. I got a shock when asking for a dash cos my speedo died. £380+VAT for a new dash. Lucky I found a scrap yard with one for £150. Stuart
  15. I was talking to Phil a C&S Wood last time I was there and he said the he cleans he lights when he does a chrome light conversion and after cleaning you can see the bulb behind the lens. If I look at mine now, I cant see anything through the lens so god knows how light gets from behind it all. I think if you give the lights a good cleaning, inside and out, they would be improved a lot. I had 133W bulbs in mine and they where great. They lasted about 3 weeks but they blew while coming home from the Rally in Wales. I think they blew becuase I had to keep flicking from dip to highbeam all the time. Has any one ever thought about installing behind the light to see if that makes any difference? Probably wont work though. Stuart
  16. Depends on where its coming from. Mine used to drip every now and then but its starting to piss through. Personally I think its a replace rubber job. I think its the ones that go all around the top of the t-top on the roof because it goes down the A and B pillar slight and is supposed to direct water down a drain hole in the rubber, but mine doesnt and it ends up inside the car. I have emailed Courtesy Nissan in the US and they say $220 for the seal both sides. Thing is that I am not 100% sure this is the problem. Stuart
  17. Ask for Phil. He owns a ZX so he knows what to do. 01942 892568. GPS are also good and in the same area, but I think you will may be waiting for a while for any work. I believe there is only 1 mechanic and they are very busy at the moment. http://www.grasshopperprosport.co.uk/ Stuart
  18. Could be stock. Can you get a pic? Stuart
  19. When I first got my Z, there was no light if any showing on the road. I had that for about a year. When I changed the bulbs I noticed that on one side I could actually see the light on the road. The next evening I took out a 10mm spanner and adjusted them and it is a hell of a lot better now. My car passed 2 MOTs with the lights not shining on the road. Like you said it doesnt go particually far but it is better than what some people say. I also think the highbeam is ver good. I have heard people call them too. Stuart
  20. Well that is what I thought. Cos I can hear it a little when I turn the ignition on and I hear the same sound when I turn the engine off, but why has it hissed a few times? Is it on its way out?

Has to be 100x100 pixels or smaller and 5k or smaller. Click on user cp at the top of the screen, then edit options. At the bottom of the screen is where you change your Avatar.
  22. Abour 3 or 4 times now when I have turned off my engine usualy after about a 25 mile drive, I got a loud hisss but like a BOV coming from the back of the car. Is that right? Is it meant to do that? Is my car starting to turn into a bus? Stuart
  23. Most things I can do myself, pads, oil change etc. I have taken my car to a place called C&S Wood for a clutch change. They did a great job at a very good price, and they clean the car too :D Its in Astley which is going towards Manchester. Its about 1/2 a mile form the East Lancs Stuart
  24. I think the peanut butter will make it sticky and thus seal it. Personally I wouldnt want any peanut butter smell in my car or have it stopping water getting in. I personally use Auto Gylm bumper care which can be used for all your rubber seals. Do it on the window ones and it makes them all nice and black again. Really finishes off the car. Stuart
