  1. No, I have very little pitty for people who smoke thier lungs to a lump of tar. I have little pitty for people who drink their liver to death. I dont feel sorry for fat people who die young because they eat too much and dont excersice. However I do feel sorry for alcoholics who really try to stop drinking, and people who really try to stop smoking, and people who try to lose weight. Smoking is addictive! Drinking is addictive! People have eating disorders or have medical reasons for not being able to lose weight. Not wearing a seatbelt is not adictive There is no medical disorder which stops people wearing a seat belt. Not wearing a seatbelt is 100% the choice of the person in the car. It is 100% thier own doing. It takes, no more than 3 seconds to put it on and less than a second to take it off, so what is the reason for not wearing it? OK it may rub slightly on long journies. I have driven for over 6 hours and it was fine. It gets hot in summer. Well just make sure you wear clothes when you drive :S I really cant see why you shouldnt wear one. Did any "So you think you're a good driver" a few years ago. This very topic was done and there was a early 20's lad who too pride in not wearing a seat belt. They put in a car chair on rails, put the seat belt on and rolled ir forward at 10mph where it would run to the end of the rail and suddenly stop. He was shocked at what it felt like. They then asked if he wanted to do it at 5mph, approx waking speed, but this time with no belt and see if he could stay in the chair. He did and ended up coming out of the chair and landed several feet away from where he was. In 1991 I was involved in a very serious car crash on the M1 when I was a the young age of 11. The crash involved over 20 cars in the main part and we where right in the thick of it. My mum nearly died but the seatbelt saved her life. My dad would have gone through the windscreen and landed 30 yards away if he wasnt wearing a seat belt. Do you think he would have survived that? We where lucky because 5 people died in the accident, and yes I saw them dead and I remember 1 didnt have a belt on. So is this post necassary? YES. And personally, Senna, I dont see why you took offence to this thread. Its sounding like you don't wear a seatbelt, and if you don't, I really hope your kids are not in the car when you have a crash and your head is crushed against the windscreen. If you do wear a seatbelt, there will be no problems and there should be no problem in this thread.
  2. This may be nasty but people who dont wear seat belts deserve everything they get. I only feel sorry for the people who have to see their crushed skulls if they ever crash. I hate not wearing a seat belt. Even when I am just taking the car off the drive to change the cars round, I wear a seatbelt and that only 20 seconds and driving 10 yards in a quite close. It just feels really strange not wearing one. Stuart
  3. Phones have seemed to go backwards actually with the useful features. Like different ring tone for different people, which is a good idea cos you know whether to rush to you phone when you hear it cos you want to speak to them or if its work phoning, leave it. One thing I found really odd with the 7210 is you couldnt have a different ring tone for different people. WTF! A simple thing like that left out. You could give different groups different ring tones but that meant assigning people groups first. And even then the 7210 wouldnt allow you to use more than 1 custom ringtone at a time. Again, gone backwards. I know that custom ring tones are a little sad, but 90% of us have them. :D Stuart
  4. That sounds like a mis fire. Check all the coils and make sure all the plugs into them are in corretly. Stuart
  5. You have to find which one it takes. 80% of them take Smart media, which is abou the size of a 50p, but square :D What does your memory look like? This is Smart Media. This is a Sony Memory Stick. But others use it too. This is Compact Flash Media. This is Multimedia Memory Which is used mostly in MP3 players. Which one is yours? Stuart
  6. It still shlould be under the 12 month warrenty. Phones for you also give you a temp phone while they send off your phone for repair. I had the 7210 for a few weeks and took it back cos it was the worse phone I have ever used. The colours where not the good, the sound quality was terrible and the buttons even thought they look good, where a pain in the arse to press. Stuart
  7. Try http://www.scan.co.uk click on products at the top of the page and then click flash/smart in the list of products. Stuart
  8. As Clarkey said, Electrical the needle is moved by an electrical curent from a sender unit which detects the temperature or pressure. Mechanical the needle is moved by they acutal temperature or pressure of the water or oil. There will be a tube that carries the water or oil into the cockpit and into the back of the dial. Stuart
  9. 95% of Subaru drivers I have met are tossers and I have yet to see a courtesy one on the road. Stuart
  10. I go to and from Manchester every day, well nearly every day. Thats 25 miles down national speed limit roads. :D
  11. Yes up pull the hand brake up 1 notch for it to work. The US ZX's get a nice switch which effect all 4 wheels. The UK have to put the handbrake on and only does the rears. The actually stiffen up automatically when you reach a certain speed. Saying that the UK as the hardest suspention of all. Harder than the US and JAP. Stuart

I think they are meant to light up then, because they dont light up for no reason. It tends to go they work and then dont ;) Hehehe Stuart
  13. Most of my milage is to and from work about 3 miles and to and from my girlfriends which is about 2 miles. Other trips are to the pizza place Tescos and such which are all under 4 miles away. I have now got a Corsa as a 2nd car to do these trips and I will be getting 30MPG round town, which will help the bank out on the long run. Stuart

Only the up on my drivers light up, but whats the point of only having 1 arrow lighting up ? Stuart
  15. I dont think that is true either. Get rid of it like me. Saves on MASS ;) and its 1 less thing to go wrong. I am sure that in my list of history with my car they had come made up for a few quid. Nice stainless ones too. :S Stuart
  16. Actually there was one hanging round there too ;)
  17. No they are called PRO LED ones. I think Cybercraft is closing I think, but hes still doing things if you email him.
  18. Remember the 99 spec is not a modification now as it is the only one you can get from Nissan ;) You thinking about getting traction control now? Would have most probably stopped that. Stuart
  19. Its infact a remake of a Japanese film and I hear that the Japanese version is a hell of a lot better than the American. Stuart
  20. No they are stock wheels. I had this problem, and they did that, they took off the tyre, cleaned the inside of the wheel and but it back on. Lucky I have an onboard tyre pressure reader so I can read what its at. Stuart
  21. My rear passenger tyre keeps going down. I have taken it to my local tyre place and they testing it and there is no puncture and the valves are fine. Could it be possible that the alloy is actually leaking? I know it can happen but is this what it is like? Today my rear was down to 12psi :( and it was at the correct pressure about a week ago, yet there is no visable nail or hole and the valve is fine and there is no puncture. Any ideas what it could be? Stuart
  22. I was pissed off when I bumped that person in front of me with minimal damage to my car. Cant imagine how you feel. Stuart
  23. A few things I found out about the RX7 after wanting one. Not as powerful as the 300ZX about 260bhp but they are a hell of a lot lighter which helps. The 0-60 is slightly better than the Z. If you think a ZX tail happy the RX7 is even worse. I heard they needed a rebuild ever 80,000 miles when I asked on other forums, no one really denied it. Apparently the NEED to red lined every now and then to get rid of carbon deposits on the rotary. Boot size is small, lot smaller than the Z. They look like a MX5 from a distance ;) The power vairies a lot, the really fast ones where never released over here and are very expensive and virtually still new in Japan now. No T-Tops, which I love on the Z :D My thoughts are that the ZX is a sports touring, and the RX7 is a sports car, sacrifising comfort and room for performance. Stuart

You can tell if you are addicted, because you start to "Make Plans" for your car ;) "Hmmm, induction, then exhuast" You think, "And you cant trust the gauges so a new boost gauge and I may as well get a oil pressure and water temp too." Now you want more speed and its "Turn up the boost, but I will need a controler for that and new ECU cos it will detonate" Now you have a faster car, but it needs to look faster "I will want a high spoiler wing, new side skirts and new front bumper." Then you realise out of the 6 months you have owned it, its been in the garage for 5 months of the time. Thats when you know you are addicted ;) Hope you join us with a Z, and happy hunting. Stuart
  25. Could it be a head gasket leaking bady? Stuart
