Ever heard the quote, "If you want peace you must prepair for war." Sadam had lied about his weapons for over 15 years. 14 years ago he invaded Kuwait with weapons he said he didnt have, and wasnt allowed to have. His own Son-In-Law fled the country in fear and then told of, thousands of tones of mustard gas, anthrax and testing for nuclear bombs. This is also a person who in celebration of winning the election by 100% set all criminals from the prisions free. Can you imagine that happening here. Why did he win by 100%? Because they would most likely be killed if the didnt vote for him. Just a few things to consider. Stuart
  2. I have a hole in my petrol tank neck, and after getting one from AndyZ, I set out to change it over. Got under the car, put mu screwdriver in the screws which holds the neck into the tank, turned it and the screw just fell apart. That is why I am changing the tank as well as the neck as soon as I get the chance. Stuart
  3. The turbo is leaking oil. People usually notice it when they leave it for a day and then the smoke appears when you start it up. There is nothing you can do really besides get the seals done on the turbo. Its not that bad if you keep an eye on the oil, but it will slowly get worse. Stuart
  4. YOu should actually report that as it could be full of disease. It should be burned. Nasty thing. :( Stuart
  5. Start the engine, press the launch button twice but hold it down on the second time. Rev your engine to the required level and then release the button. I dont know if you have to have that dongle on though. Dont think you do. Stuart.
  6. There is a little difference between a bumper with road dirt and exhaust with baked on soot, oil and fuel. It will take a little longer than the bumper ne thinks :D. But same principle. Stuart
  7. For people who want to know what the difference in sound is when you do something to your car, here is a little clip I have made. Both are of the Traction Control rev limiter. The first one in the day, is stock airbox (I think) with a Mongoose Exhaust and cats are in place. The second, at night, is with an Apexi induction, same Mongoose exhaust and DeCatted down pipes. Sounds best on a good speakers not little ones and turn up the bass a little as its sounds deeper in real life. Its a DivX film, and bout 1.5mb. http://www.nissanzx.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Difference.avi Stuart
  8. Its just bloody fun. :D As well as the 2nd rev limit which spools up your turbos, it allows variable slip according to your speed. Like cutting in when you are going 5-10 mph will cause a bigger slow down than higher speeds, so it allows slightly more slip before cutting in. Its very clever actually. Its not 100% needed, but its just fun. The adjustable slip is not 100% needed either but it is handy. You can tell the difference from wet and dry setting. When its dry and you have the TC set on dry it allows a little slip because apparently it causes better acceleration. Put it on on wet and you can tell you are not going faster and you can hear the TC more offten. In the wet, my TC cuts in all the time, especailly when accelerating out of junctions or going over mini roundabouts. Put in on dry when its wet and the back end kicks out slightly before the TC does its stuff. So you can tell the difference with the adjustable slip and well worth the extra dosh. Here is a vid clip using DIVX on my car launching. http://www.nissanzx.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/TC.avi You can hear the TC rev limiter and you can hear it popping as I pull off. I actually left a skid mark and on examining it you can see the skid is dotted, where the traction control gained traction and then my car lose it again because of the power and the TC again gets the traction. Its well worth the money, and the price is good too. Have you posted on the Supra forum? Also tell the people on the SX and Scoobynet that thier's should be cheaper as the 6cylinder TC is more expensive. Stuart
  9. It takes a long time to clean the pipes. It took me 2 hours to get it like this But its worth it. I cant really tell you what I used, because i ran out of so many different things. It ranged from paint stripper, to Autoglym tar remover, to metal poish and Autoglym Paint Renovator (Their T-Cut) Its worth it in the end. Every one thought I bought a new exhaust. :D And once its clean, just wipe the pipes with a cloth and its clean again. Stuart
  10. I have this system installed and the launch control is on the adjustable slip, and I dont think you can have 1 with out the other. Stuart
  11. I never have enough money to fill it ;) Dont know but I have a better tank to put on it soon. Just not had the time. Stuart
  12. I may not have said but, with the windows up and roof on, you can hardly smell it. Only a couple of time. But when I had the roof off, it was feeling ill from the fumes. Stuart

Error code 13. Its been tested and failed. Its gone and needs replacing. I believe it will be the yellow one positioned at the front engine in the water pipe. Ask AndyZ under his section for a good 2nd hand one. I know what you mean. I miss wired my temp sensor and the car wouldnt start. It took a lot of cranking to get it going and even then it ran crap. Stuart

I find it strange sometimes. Going to the lakes a last year, took it easy on the motorway never above 70 to save fuel and I got 22mpg. Going to the rally in Wales, lots of hard acceleration and slowing down stuck behind cars doing 40 and I got over 26mpg. Stuart
  15. Good point.

£20 will get me about 100 miles. So dont know whats up with yours. I am like you. Every time I go out in my Z, where I can legaly, I love to floor it. Never round town, always on the faster roads where I can. I cant understand people who dont like taking thier car drag racing cos it damages the car and it will blow up. I do something like that at least once a week. True I dont go 100mph but I floor it 0-80 regularly Stuart
  17. I have a spare t-peice if you need it.
  18. I dont think it is a leak. I have had that leak before and I have replaced all the fuel lines in the bay, or the ones I could reach, and I have put new clips on too. The smell a few months ago was acutally coming from the fuel filter but that has gone now. The smell is not of clean fuel like you get in a petrol station. Its deffinatly coming from the back, as a few times when it really smells bad, my exhaust flames, which you dont expect with stock injectors and stock ECU. Stuart
  19. Didnt watch it. I have seen a few Z's on Boom Town on Channel 5, 1 Z32 but a few Z240 and Z260 :D Stuart
  20. Why what does Verian "Fat Tony" do? ;) I actually have more fun speeding to 30 let them draw next to me and then floor it again. :D Make them think they have a chance. Stuart
  21. All on taste and who. I look at wheels, 17's will do me cos I dont want to compromise ride and performance for looks, and the only ones I want cost over £1500 for 4. Every set I like are just expensive. :( Stuart
  22. No honestly we dont want asylum. We just want to work, hang round in posh hotels, get money for nothing, housing grants, car grants and then just sue you because it was stressful ;) Stuart
  23. Take it to any good local garage to take it out. They will just send it off to get it re-cored. Its really easy to take out, I did it and then had to walk 5 miles into town to get it re-cored and walk back. I had to do the same again 2 days later, but walk there to pick it up obviously. Stuart
  24. I get that too, as if it makes thier car faster :S Now is the girlfriend driving your Z a blessing or a curse? For me its the latter. Stuart
  25. Jeff what the hell was that modern art pic you posted on your 2nd post? It was just black with red lines. You thinking of changing trade? ;) Or you praticing for that faking it program ;) Stuart
