It will cost you more than paying the extra for a Turbo version.

White smoke part II
Yes this again. I have more to add to it. Here are the symptoms. White smoke when I am in traffic. The exhaust tips get covered in soot in about 50 miles of driving after cleaning them. I am not losing water. I am not losing coolent. I am not losing oil. All are checked and are the same level they have been for a while. My car stinks of petrol when driving. Took it for a drive today with the roof off, and I nearly died from the smell of the fumes. It was really THAT bad. However when I drove in first about 4000-4500 rpm for a while the smell went but soon as I went back to just crusing around 1500-2000 rpm the smell came back. This suggests I am running very very rich. Any one have any more ideas? I am thinking of replacing the O2 sensors and replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Stuart

Oh dear another dead Z:(
You cant tell really few small bits of glass on the side of the road, there is all along that road though ;). I only noticed it when I saw a red wing mirror on the floor and noticed it was a Z one. I think it will still work. Only the casing is broken a little the glass is fine. Hehehe There was also a square peice of panel, but it was flat as a pancake so I have no ides what part it was off. LOL Stuart

Should we flash our lights at the SX too?
I always flash at other 300ZXs when I see them when I am in mine, but there are so few around here, I only every see them when they are on the other side of a motorway, or in a car park on at a junction on the other side of a dual carrage way. So I was thinking, should we extend our light flashing greeting to SXs too? After all they are a Nissan performance car and are quite simalar to the ZX. Besides I usually get a look from most SX drivers and I always notice an SX. What you think? Stuart

Despair, utter black despair.
When I had my clutch changed it was exhaust off and gear box completely off and that only cost £100, and considering according to my car history, my mongoose exhaust cost £50 to fit. It shouldnt cost more than that to take it off and taking it off is harder. Stuart

USA Spec Speed Sensor unit or gearing...
I have asked this myself and no one had one and no one had a clue whether a US speed sensor will make the speedo work on the same scale as the US dial. What is interesting if you put a UK dash into a Jap car, still with its Jap speed sensor, the dial will read in MPH correctly and not KPH what a Jap dash is. Stuart

You must see this.........Dodgy Z Sales (In my opinion)
Have people not really noticed its a salvage place and not really a garage? That on its own is false advertising. Bonet scoops, rear bumpers and spoilers do not make you go faster? Infact the oposite. The scoop is less arodynamic, the spoiler should create downforce and the rear bumper is most probably heavier. Stuart

Ajay, I managed to save your wing mirror from the wrath of the East Lancs. You want it as a momento? Stuart

This is a tad concerning !
It will be like Homer dreaming of filling up an alcohol fueled car. "One for you, one for me!" ;)

they have hit the boyracer price range
Least they are not like the GTO/3000GT. They are becoming really common. I saw 5 today and not 1 Z. There are also 3 or 4 round where I live and I see one at Uni every day. They are boy racer price, but they couldnt afford the insurance. Some lads where speaking to me about my car and asked about the insurance and he told me he was paying £1400 TPFT on a 1.4 Corsa. When I phoned up for insurance when I had 3 years NCB. I was told that I was very unusual as I had been driving for 3 years and have 3 years NCB, because most 17 year olds cant afford their own insurance or have a crash before hand. The only way some one can afford the insurance at such a young age is if daddy pays for it. Stuart

More Space Pics
Me and my dad are getting better at taking pictures of space through the telescope. These pictures still very rough need work on them. You should take about 10 pictures of it and the add them all together to make a nice picture. These are single shots, or 2 pics together but we are starting to get some interesting stuff. Interesting galaxy where there really 2 galaxies which are just really close together or have passed eachother. The smaller one on the right has a higher gravatational pull and for now, the smaller one is stealing stars from the big one into its own galaxy. Cant remember which this galaxy is, but it looks good. Not the best pic of it. Stuart

Why Zeds r so cheap ?
Most new cars are going that way now, because people want new cars and dont want the hastle of expensive repair bills, but are willing to lose thousands of £'s selling their cars every few years. Think of people with Astras, cost £13,000 new for a decent one, and will be worth less than £5000 3 years later. Think of all the expensive BMW's which cost £35,000 brand new, and then 3 years down the line they are worth £10,000. Stuart
