  1. I have been waiting for the cash to do this myself. But the fogs or £90 each over here and $70 each from the US. Where you gonna get them? Also where you gonna wire them up to? The rear fogs? That means that you can only have the front and backs on at the same time. Stuart
  2. Go see the Citizens Advice, people think that you dont have any comeback when you buy something second hand from a private seller but you have more power than you think Stuart
  3. I can understand what you mean how ever its not that easy. As we all know the registry holds loads of information for Windows from menu order to program setup and cache settings, and every time you turn on your computer it goes through the regiesty bit by bit applying all the settings. A fresh installation of 98 the registry is just over 1mb. My friend showed my his registry after 1 year of use and its was 17mb. Yes he had a few things installed, but Windows keeps adding to it and not removing it. Thats why the computer seems to take longer to boot up. Like now I had XP on with all the updates and all my stuff installed. When I got a new HDD I put Win2000 on and just installed the drivers and windows updates. I am now running Win2000 and the internet is running a hell of a lot better. On the forum pages where not finnished downloading sometimes by the time I finished typing. But now every thing loads in less than a second. Why? Whats the difference? I dont mess around with Internet settings, plus there aren't that many with broadband you can change. XP is supposed to be better at the internet so why is 2000 running much better? Microsoft in a way have helped the computer world a great deal. Before Win95 people would run when they saw C:\> on a black screen. Stuart

Can you post any pics and what size tyres fit on them? Thanks Stuart
  5. Oh my one used to take less than 30 seconds to boot. Then come all the updates and that makes it take longer, then Office, that makes it take longer, then other stuff and it takes longe and longer
  6. Im with you Timmy, I may put Unix/Linux on my what is now my XP drive. I know what you mean Gio, my old 386 used to take10 seconds to boot into DOS then another 15 seconds for it to load WIN fully. Now with a computer that is over 150 time faster in CPU clock speed, Memory which is 50 times faster and I have 512 time more and HDD's which transfer 20 times faster, it still takes longer to boot up. Hmmm, progress do you say? Oh yeah, Old DOS 8mb fully installed and windows 3.1 8mb fully installed. Windows XPdefault installation 1,600mb. And then over 200mb of updates. Stuart
  7. ****ing Shit Twating Bastard Crappy **** Tosser WINDOWS XP. ****ING HATE IT! Doing fine working away doing my PHP Uni work. Turn the computer off. Go have a drink 30 mins later come back, turn it on, OS Currupt use recovery from XP disc. OK then did that selected recovery and I go into DOS, the worse version of DOS ever. No instructions on what to do, so I run a few fix things it has. Reboot the same currupt. Went to Windows setup becuase it has the option to unstall over the top keeping your settings and documents. NO. Windows XP doesnt allow that. Complete installation wiping away any old data. THE ONLY WINDOWS THAT DOES THAT THE ****ING TWATS! I have a virus checker that updates every time I log on, which with broadband is every time I boot up, it runs a full check every day and I am really carful what emails I open. Its just ****ING XP! I have had every other Windows OS all the way from Windows 3.1.1 and its never done this. XP this is the 3rd time its happened. WINKER. Lucky I bought another HDD a month ago and put 2000 on it so I can still access my data, but having trouble accessing my emails from XP where my passwords and server location for my files is held. Soon as I get the time Im going to put Linux over it. Sorry just has to moan about how ****ING SHIT XP is. Stuart

  9. Not only that but that MIGHTY JUN 300ZX broke and still holds the world speed record for a front engine rear wheel drive car.! Other cars have tried and failed including a few Supra's RX-7 and Skylines. Stuart
  10. Whats the approximate cost gonna be? Stuart

I remember some one else making that point a few months ago. ;) Stuart
  13. Started every time first time, even in temperatures at -7ºC. Few problems. Clutch went but it was drivable, just couldnt floor it, and that is wear and tear. The that clutch actually lasted over 70,000 miles. Radiator leaked but got it rebuilt next day. Car stalled when slowing down, twice. It was the TPS, unscrewed it, cleaned it with a cloth and WD40 put it back on and it's been perfect since. 5 min job. Stuart
  14. DOH!. I would but my wheels are not big enough :(

If I remember it should read just over the line before the +14. But like Cos said, its crap and often not acurate. My one goes upto the +14PSI even though my extra boost gauge shows 0.6bar = 9psi which is band on. Stuart
  16. Welcome to the world of BMW ownership.
  17. Open the bonet and disconnect the pipes from the washer nozels. Turn on the washers and if there enough water coming out means the nozels are buggered and need replacing. £7 odd from Nissan per side. Stuart
  18. Is the most common one I think. 1/8 NTSF or something

Are there any wet spots on the roof. The water could have come through the back of the T-Tops and roled back a little before dripping off.

Boot lid? How are the rubber seals?
  21. Could this be a boost leak? A big one at that? I hear the way to hear your turbos is to put a stick against the turbo and then put your ear against the wood. Any vibrations from the turbos would go up the stick so you can hear it. You will need some one to rev the car to do this. Then you can tell if its the turbo. Does it happen when you are stopped? YOu will have to rev the engine quite hard to get it go positive if you are not moving. Try that and see if the noise happens. Stuart
  22. I have heard that the Z TT reall needs that rear spoiler. People say that the car doesnt feel as solid at the back at higher speeds. Also when you take the wing off you will most probably find the paint under there isnt the best and there will be some surface rust. If you can sand it off fill it smooth it and then spray it go for the no spoiler look if you want it. However you may find that the under the spoiler is a little too bad condition to have on view. It was with mine. I just got rid of the rust, treated it, painted it with a brush then put the spoiler ontop. Stuart
  23. If its just when the engine has started it may just be the oil pressure building up, my Z does it when starting it up on a cold day. But for a second at most. As for the diff, get that sorted and check it out whether it will be covered by this warrenty. 1 problem that you didnt think of with BMW especially the sports range is the price of parts. You thought Nissan where bad. My dad has a BMW motorbike and they wanted £250 for a battery for it, £150 each for the handle bar weights £80 for the handle bar grips. After searching he got the things alot cheaper becuase most of those parts are universal. But wait untill you have to get a BMW part. You will be OK with wing mirrors though. Ever boy racer car have BMW wing mirrors :D especially Corser's. ;) Stuart
  24. I am sure that the green Z is an NA :( I looked cos I liked the colour. Why not a Lotus. What they going for? Stuart
  25. I have a medical condition that doesnt allow me to use punctuation correctly. Its called bone-idleness. ;)
