  1. I have seen a few Z31's and they look quite good for its age too. Simalar to the Mitsubishi Starion. People say that the last TRUE Skyline was the R32 with its shorter wheel base makes handeling better, but its slower of the R32 R33 and R34 by far. Well not far but a noticable amount. I know MAC calles Skylines Mondeos which I dont know where he gets that idea from cos the R33 and R34 dont look like one but the R32 does. Stuart

You dont have to have it skimmed but its better to have it done. And yes there may be oil and grease on it from the mechanics hands. Leave it for a few hundred miles then have a go at flooring it. Keep an eye on the clutch fluid level can it may go down a little as it beds in. You dont want it going dry and getting air bubbles in it,.

I think I have the same clutch as you, and when it was first installed bite point was right at the bottom, you hardly had to lift it before it bit. Now its nicely in the middle so I think it will get better. But I have been told dont floor it with a new clutch cos it needes time to bed in. Did you have your flywheel skimmed? Cos that could probably help it and probably contributing to it slipping because the 2 plates are not in complete contact with eachother. Dont floor it for a few hundred miles and then have another go. As for the dent in the wing, fairies have a habbit of doing that, so I am told anyway. Im lucky enough to not have anything like that done to my car, but I have known other people's car having a run in with fairies. Stuart

The clutch does have to wear in though, but it may just be you need to adjust the clutch pedal. Stuart
  5. Arrrghghghhhh!! If I hadnt commited myself to buying a Corsa (2nd car dont worry) I would have ripped your arm off.
  6. Dont think you will get much of a Skyline for £10000. You may be able to get a GT-S I think they are which are only RWD single turbo. Nothing much. Or you could get a R32 but they are a little old and nothing compaired to the R33 or R34. What about a GTO/3000GT if you looking for the 4WD option. Not as easy to mod as a Z I hear, they look the part but one of the few Jap supercars that is heavier than the Z :D. No T-Tops though which is the best thing in the summer. :D Stuart
  7. RX-7, great car but totally inpractical with even less boot space and no back seats. People call the back seats of the Z but they come in handy. Or a Corsa GSI and kit up with some slammin' 18's on which grind the arches and have a sound system that stalls the car when you turn it too loud. :D Stuart
  8. Im not too sure if it would stop the car from working. I think its only on Jap cars, but I cant see why it should stop the car from working. Are any lights flashing when you try to start the car? Stuart
  9. I dont know about the plates. I think its whether what mood the police are in. Many times I have told the story of a police car going down the wrong side of the road to pull next to me at lights, blocking the oncoming traffic to tell me that the 7 should be next to the H. WTF. His exact words where "Your number plate is illegal" Me: "Why?" "Your 7 should be next to your H" The plate was legal size, legal font, legal colours. But what it was you have a half a gap between the reg letter and the number then a full gap from the numbers to the letters. I think the one I had, had a full gap from the reg to the number. And I see cars with the bolt inplace making letters not what they are like C19THY. The curl at the bottom of the 9 is gone its touching the 1 with a black bolt positioned making it look like an A. I see that all the time, no one has told them to change it. Yet my 7 should be next to the H. Police are just tossers. Stuart

They are 2 different things. PSI is a pressure, how much is it squashed, and cm sq per second is an amount of air. Its like converting 14ºC to gallons. Stuart
  11. Thats the CAT heat pipe I believe. Your cats are over heating or the connection has come lose. Does the car have test pipes on? Stuart
  12. Ban her from the car now!. They should not have been up with her especially at that speed. Disgraceful! Stuart
  13. Is yours a UK or Jap? The fuse box is located by the accelerator pedal. There is a cover you can take off, the fuses are under there and there is a diagram of what fuse is what on the other side of the panel you take off. If its a UK car its in english, if its a Japanese one its in Japanese :D Stuart
  14. I am dedicated to this group. Infact they have asked me to join them for thier breeding program. They want to get thier numbers up. Its a hell of a job but someone has to do it and I have sacrificed myself to do it. Remember its not for me, its for survival. Stuart
  15. Japanese import cars are now allowed to have the Japanese sized numberplate on the front. But I dont think that the police will be able to tell the difference between a UK and Jap Z so I think the UK owners could get away with it. :D No arguments now about the location or size of the plate for air flow now :D Stuart
  16. Where you from G_Man? Some one local my be able to take you for a spin.
  17. I Alt-Tab too. :D I also had messenger on but they have blocked it now. :( Any one know any possible ways round it? Stuart
  18. As Stuart says the it is easy to lost the back end of the car, but its easy to get it back. I dont think i kicks out the back becuase its light the car has 52/48% weight distrbution which is rather good, and considering there is a huge back window, heavy spoiler, rear diff, HICAS (4 Wheel Steering) rack, petrol tank and spare wheel, there is a lot of weight on there. The back end comes out becuase of the power I think, and some times its not that easy to kick out. Loads of times I have gone round empty roundabouts thinking I will have some fun, drop it to 2nd and floor it and just ended up flying round it pointing the correct way all the way round. Stuart
  19. Depends how fast you are going though. But the fan is usually a a really big bugger. The problem is its 1 big fan placed at the front of the car, but the intercoolers are on the front corners when not so much reaches it. If you put the fan to one side you will starve the other one of cold air. The only thing you can really do is have a big fan on each corner or have a front mounted intercooler. PS. Nelson you seen the new laws regarding front numberplates? Stuart
  20. I put Halfords 133W bulbs in and it made a big difference, but they only lasted 2 weeks or so. It was constently changing between main beam and dip that made them blow. Stuart
  21. Simple to modify to a good level. Induction kit, Exhaust, De-Cat (Optional), Chip and up the boost from its pathetic 9PSI and you will be pushing 400BHP. I think the 5.6 is being conservative. Nissans offical times say 0-60 in 5.2
  22. Really virtually any 5 stud alloy will fit but its best to get the offset right. Stuart
  23. The weather up in Wigan has been beautiful. Not a cloud insigt and been quite warm in the sun. There is a drain that has burst at the bottom of the street though. Its gonna be deadly when it freezes. Stuart
  24. What I want to know, who had the unpleasent job of looking at what a real bulls bollocks looks like. I can see what women mean when they say the male genitals are not attractive. Stuart
  25. Farmers convention in the where farmers from the world over. An American and a British farmer are talking and the British farmer asks. "How bigs your farm then?" "Well put it this way boyo. I can get up at the crack of dawn, get in my car with a full tank of gas and I can drive until the afternoon, then re-gas and keep driving untill sunset and I will still be in my farm land. Then British farmer replied "I have a car like that too" BOOM BOOM! Next one. Boy and his dad in a chemist, when the boy sees a condom on the shelf and asks what it is. Not wanting to lie to his son he told him. "Its a concom, son. Men use them when they want to have safe sex" He replied. "Oh." The boy said "Well whats that then?" pointing to a 3 pack of condoms. "That is a singles man's condom pack." his dad informed. "1 for Friday, 1 for Saturday and 1 for Sunday" "Oh!" The boy replied, and pointing to a 6 pack asked "Whats that?" His dad told him "Thats a young couples condom pack. 2 for Friday, 2 for Saturday and 2 for Sunday." Finally the young boy pointed to a 12 pack of condoms and asked "What are these then" "Ahhh!" his dad said while putting them in his basket. "These are a married mans condom set. 1 for January, 1 for February.........." Boom Boom! Stuart
