  1. Pre 92 (K reg) you are legally allowed to remove the cats. Post 92 (K reg) if the original spec has cats, the car can not have the cats removed.
  2. If the location is big enough and there is enough stands, you could be dynoing one car while you are jacking the next one up.
  3. The advantage of a dynopack is there is not chance of wheel spin, which will ruin your tyres and not give you a correct reading. There also no chance of the car skidding off the rollers. Imagine wheels which are doing 140mph on rollers and the rollers locking up or the wheels skipping out and gripping on the floor. You car will plough through any one who is infront of the car and the wall too.
  4. They where the ones I had on my Z when I got it. OK normal driving but anything slightly pushing it and they just dont work.
  5. Yeah but they are hidden behind the red cover.
  6. Japanese tyres are also illegal in this country, and if you have an accident you could get your insurance void if they notice, but it depends whether they check. A good set of tyres will make a world of difference. I had a very hard compound tyre on my car which where OK in the dry but very dangerous in the wet. I changed to S02s and they gripped better in the wet than my old ones did in the dry. Stuart
  7. Until MAC's red one is finished ;)
  8. Did you use the holes on the strut brace to get the fuel lines through? By the looks of it you didnt

There is about 80 bhp difference between the NA and TT and probably over a second off 0-60. Hope you like your car. When you say you open it up and it vibrates about 4-5000rpm, is that in every gear? If so could be engine mounts or gearbox mounts are worn. If so, it nothing really that will blow your engine, just anoy the hell out of you. However, if it is speed related it could be your balancing is out, or the centre bearing on your prof shaft has gone. You may as well get the balance checked on your wheels as it will only cost you a few quid. Do the same with your tracking, as that may be causing the wandering. If its your propshaft, the bearing cost about £100 and should be OK for you to do it. If its the balancing, £20 should do all 4 wheels. Tracking at a good place will be £25. Engine mounts ar quite cheap to buy but expensive to put in. The Oil pressure is a common thing. The pressure sender unit often stops working. They are over 10 years old now so they have the right to stop working ;) Its £80 for a new sender from Nissan or most people get an after market gauge for £50 or so, which end up being more accurate and the senders for them are £6 when they need replacing. We often have meetins Dave, and when one is near you, turn up and I am sure some one will be happy enough to show off their TT and take you for a spin in it to show the power difference. But trust me, you will want one after ;) Where do you live? Stuart

Who was good looking? Diana? But I think the British public have learned a lot about news papers convicting people of doing things which a court later finds them innocent of. Stuart
  12. I think the easiest and most common way is to get a really long drill bit and drill it out.

    Think you mean less oxygen
  14. Good of you to admit it.
  15. None of this *****x about autos and manuals. They will measure the only power which means anything. Wheel power. Or in this case, drive shaft power. ;)
  16. I need a good scan disc program to test one of my HDDs which keeps going tits up. Any one know a good one? The windows one is rubbish. Stuart
  17. 1 Ajay 2 Chris@getgreddy 3 Bagins 4. Bigbscan 5. John-boy 6 SRRAE Has any one actually looked at how they do it? You have to jack your car up and take the wheels off
  18. Its not a whine and it is not all the time. It happens only every now and then, but its done it while I was driving now too. Its very much like the noise from taking the fuel cap off. Lasts for a bout a second but its louder, and then nothing. The Z fuel pump makes a slight buzzing noise anyway and its done that for the 3 years I have had it. I hope its not about to pack in.
  19. It is starting to age, becasue its an old car. Its 14 years. The E-type Jag looks old, the Ford GT looks old, the Lamborghini Countash and Diablo look old, but they look classic. :D
  20. I have never looked at a stock bumper close up, but I thought the black bit was an actual black bit of plastic and not painted.
  21. Im like you Rich. Every time I see a modified Z, the more I want to keep mine stock.
  22. No thats the type 2 bumper. This is the only picture I can see of it but I dont know it there is anything different about it like more of a lip at the bottom of the bumper. Its got the coloured strip where the number plate goes.
  23. I have told you about the hissing noise from the fuel pump area I get every now and then. A little like the sound when you open a bottle of pop or a little like a BOV. Well its done it once or twice when I have been driving. Is this normal? Stuart
  24. I like DaveW's. Nice kit which doesnt go OTT. Perfect sized spoiler for the car.
