Anyone know if its ok to gut a stock under car cat? mine look fooked, the mesh in it is all melted! i know you can do it with the pre-cat, can it also mbe done to the main cats?

 

and any info on how to do it

It's fine to do, u should still be able to pass emmisions test if yer Z is running ok.

 

How people do it? I'm not sure, i'd imagine u just jam something in there and rip all the stuff out!?:)

I think someone removed them, cut them open, decatted then welded them back shut, probably easier to get a coathanger :)

I think the easiest and most common way is to get a really long drill bit and drill it out.

Well no going back now, all gutted and fook me the cats had already melted in places! and i still cant get over how much shite was in there, bits of wire wool type stuff all blocking the pipe into the cat!

dont know, soon find out! if it dose, then its an excuse to get bigger turbos (gotta be cheeper the 2 engine rebuilds lol)
