ZXs have done a lot to gain a name, just not in this country. Paul Newman raced them and won 3 championships in a row and it holds the most wins in its category in a season. Again in Japan it won many championships with them in 90s, but in Europe it didnt do anything. I actually thing the 300ZX won the most different types of championships than any other single car. It raced in Le Mans and won its category and I think I remember seeing one year it came 6th beating load of cars in higher categories. Ask most Americans who know a little about a car if they know what a 300ZX is and they will. I have had mechanics asking what my car is. They are not as well known in europe because you dont see them in car mags with nasty body kits on, or watch them buring 3 months of rubber in a burn out or doing doughnuts, and personally I am glad of that.

There are many people out there who have the money to buy a car and then 3 months later decide they dont like it. Or they get sold to employees for a fraction of the price because it was a display model or the test car and they sell it on a few weeks later

You will have to keep me up to date on how its going mate. Im interested in knowing what you are doing and how confident you feel in your engine. I would be scared to rise the revs too high :S

Imagine you are traveling at 40mph on a 40 road and you see a car pull up at a juction wanting to turn the way you are traveling. They stop and when you get closer they pull out and you hit the back of them. By your reckoning you should be done for dangours driving becuase you are guilty. You cant prove your inocents as the other person in the car said you where speeding. Is that right? NO! Also people are forgetting the meaning of the word accident. Sometimes things just doing go as they are meant to and through no fault of any person an accident could happen

MAC have you been told how long it will take to run in the engine after the rebuild? Dont want you doing a Warren and go racing straight after a rebuild, I am sure most of us can remember the result ;)

we arranged one a few months ago and no GTOs turned up though.

Ahhh. I know what you mean, my boot moves slightly. I think there is little you can do other than drill a hole. Try pulling back the carpet in the boot and take out the foam under the carpet too. There is plenty of ways of the air getting out there, but I think the carpet and foam inserts are preventing it. As I remember when I stipped my car down, there are infact air vents under the carpet and foam in the boot.

How can you actaully tell if the map is overfueling and making things worse or not as good as it could be? Are you basing your view of over fueling how the car is performing or on actually looking at the mapping values? I just wondered how you can actually tell when it is too much.

I didnt think they where that air tight. My t-tops leaks water all the time, so it cant be that good ;) how is a vacume causing the paint to crack?

1: ****in' chill 2: 245/45/16 the 45 is the profile of the tyre, meaning 45% of the width. You said you had 245 profile tyres which makes the height of the tyre 245% the size of the width which makes them 600mm high, a over half a metre high tyre wall will make any car handle like shít. no the diameter is not large enough, you will need at least 17 inch wheels to make them fit and the correct offest. That is one plus for having Skyline wheels, Skyline brakes will fit under them

if you are putting the Skyline calipers on its a bit stupid not upgrading to the larger discs too and you will need larger wheels for that.

Tatooman, 1: The fact you need spacers means the offset is not correct, rear wheels of a Z obviously have the correct offset and will stick in or out more than your wheels so you cant compaire that. 2: The wheels dropping off comment is a facetious remark about something which happened on here before you joined. 3: MAC does have large spacers on his car, but I dont remember seeing any dyno sheet for his car. (No offence MAC I havent) so we cant comment about his power ;) 4: 245 profile tyres? That is a huge tyre wall, that must handle shit
